I feel like Zion’s case is somehow a little more than durability issues. It’s just my prediction so I could be totally wrong with it, but I feel like he’s also sitting out because of frustration from Pels’ management. I mean come on, you lose Jrue holiday last offseason, and then you replace him with Eric Bledsoe and Steven adams, two guys that clog the paint worse than poop clogging the toilet. If that wasn’t good enough, they barely did anything to bring lonzo back this season ( from Zion’s POV I’m assuming). It’s just straight up ineptitude from the front office from the New Orleans Pelicans.
What I mean by sitting out is that he probably could have been rehabbing harder/faster to get back on the court sooner, but he’s opting to be slower with it so he doesn’t have to go out there and play for and organization that does nothing to better themselves

Father time is undefeated, the only teams to consistently make deep playoff runs once their core started to age are the 90's Bulls and the Spurs. Lebron's offensive game relies to much on physicality and getting to the rim, while MJ and Duncan could live off jumpers.
This off-season really shifted the overall landscape of the league and it didn't even involve marquee names changing destinations.

Lebron being in the league way earlier than these 2 don't help him either. Also he is playing like that because AD didn't take the next step. But contrary to Duncan and MJ, Lebron can dominate the offense with assists and playmaking only, which what he was doing more in 2020.
What caused him the problem right now is that he wanted to compensate for AD lack of performance during the 2020 season do like he always does, which means taking the team on his back but he is not young anymore.
Anyway the plan was him playing like Magic which he could have done for years and AD being the main guy.
You forget that Parker was the main guy from 2009 to 2013 as he was the one to be in the top 10 mvp votes every year and Ginobili had a more important role which allow Duncan to take a step back. MJ stopped his career after 35yo and remember he didn't play for 1y and a half after his first retirement which help him a lot too.
What's happening to Lebron is what happened to Kobe, Lakers are destroying his last years by overusing him at a age he shouldn't be overplayed

    • @NickPR87
      @NickPR87 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@paquinraino8180 He would still have to carry a part of the scoring burden even if AD took the next step to being truly among the best. But you're right, him not doing so and the poorly constructed roster forced LeBron to take more offensive responsibility than intended or anticipated. If he can stay healthy it'll help his case for all-time leading scorer, but the team will not find much collective success.

They literally beat an injured lakers (AD), clippers (kawhi), and nuggets (Murray). Then they fumbled a 2-0 lead because Cp3 and booker were wayyy too inconsistent in the finals. They were handed a cakewalk and couldn’t perform against the bucks.
So much talent was missing from the west last year it was honestly insane. The competition this year will be so much better.

Wassup swish. I love your vids. Thank God that you are feeling better. My biggest takeaway from this season is that the new foul rule exposed a few players because now there is less foul baiting. Some of these players would have to go the hospital if they played in the 90s with all the physicality. The true bucket getters are standing out. Even though I’m not really a d’lo fan, it was nice seeing him those clutch shots against philly. Like you said in a previous video, I think he goes under the radar because point guard is the most talented in stacked position and he isn’t a top 6 pg. I also think the circumstances haven’t worked out in his favor until now. On the t-wolves, he and kat have either been injured or don’t have enough help until now. In that sixers game, I saw Brooklyn d’lo. I honestly would’ve liked him in philly because they need a closer and a pure bucket getter like him (for a game like the one on Wednesday against Boston). I’m not worried the defense because he’s made strides in that area plus they can put thybulle in the starting lineup to defend the best guard. While thybulle may not be a shooter, if you add d’lo, they would have a lineup (excluding thybulle) of people that can shoot. They would be deadly.

It’s fair for all those people to say that dame was better than Curry along with Curry not being cable of carrying a team to the playoffs.
We have never seen him do that before, and dame was playing out of his mind in 2020, and even 2021 y’all might’ve forgotten but dame was an mvp candidate until the last month where he declined, while obviously that’s when Curry had his best stretch of basketball and was clearly the best in the league or at least in the conversation and top 7.
But after Curry proved y’all wrong in 2021, why doesn’t the narrative stop, why have we not given this man credit, to think there’s still people that think he got Carried by kd, or not even top 20, it’s annoying…

Steph still can’t carry a team to the playoffs. He can lead a team to the playoffs but if you throw him with one 10 ppg scorer, the worst coach in the league, bad spacing, a mid defence, etc, he’s not making the playoffs.

    • @randomperson2540
      @randomperson2540 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@veloxityy_4872 I’m sorry the Warriors was literally the worst team in basketball in 2020 literally had the worst record in the league.
Curry will proceed to play with that team and with all the games he played with them had a positive record and technically by record was the six seed.
And would’ve made it to the playoffs if it wasn’t for the fact that LeBron made a three basket three lol.
With all due respect no other point guards except for maybe Chris Paul had literally play with the worst team in the league.
Russ had a luxury to play with Victor Oladipo in the incredible good defensive team is more like AI team in 2001, he care of them offensively not defensively. After that Russ will not necessarily need to carry another team again I don’t consider the wizards a carry cause he had Beal who was literally second in scoring and russ was playing bad for the first half which cause them to lose a lot of games.
James Harden never had a bad team and that you can argue he got carried in the playoffs multiple times rumor that clipper series were they blew a 3,1 lead you want know how bad he played?
      The nigga got benched lol.
Dame although he never had a great team he never had a bad team either a great example is well this season damn has been horrible yet they still have been 500 and frankly nothing didn’t change other than Couching.
The closest team that was bad for Dane I would say was in 2020 or in 2021 where they dealt with lots of injuries and he did carry but barely in 2020 he was in the play in as the 8th seed, without that he would’ve missed the playoffs which was the bubble.
And then the season after the first 10 games I will say CJ was playing out of his mind and then he got injured so roughly 27 games after that it was Dame carrying the team because I didn’t have CJ or Nurkic or Robert Covington, but then after that they were healthy and they actually played worse being as the seventh seed.
And as far as general players caring teams such as LeBron James well it’s fucking LeBron James why is this a negative for curry to not being able to carry the worst team in the league and he almost did the only reason why he couldn’t what was because he missed some games literally his record is positive it’s just that he didn’t play enough games today seasons proves it.
The roster is literally the exact same except for Iggy being there and then drafting some kids but they lost Wiseman to make that up.
And I do agree pool and maybe even Wiggins did improve again this season but that still doesn’t make them the best team in the league yet they have clearly.
The only team better right now is the suns which which has the only guard that I think has actually carried the team which were the pelicans and okc.

@@randomperson2540 Russ in his mvp season played on a roster that was barely tied for the 10th best defensive rating in the league while Curry in 2020-21 had a top 5 defensive team and this year has the luxury to play with the best defence in the league. Calling Russ’s team an “incredibly good defence” is a huge over exaggeration. The warriors have a 115.8 offensive rating without Steph this year which would place them as the best offence in the league while the thunder had a 107.8 offence in the league without russ which places them as the 17th best offence in the league. Curry in 2020-21 played with Wiggins averaging 18 a game, a young jordan Poole, and draymond who’s impact is undeniable despite his stats not looking the best. Russ played with a young oladipo who was averaging 15 a game on worse efficiency than Poole and wiggins, a worse defence than Curry, a worse coach than Curry, yet won 47 games back when the western conference was a lot tougher while Curry was only on pace to win 48 games if he was healthy the whole season (probably wouldn’t win 48 games tho because he probably wouldn’t be able to carry that load consistently for the whole season). A young Harden could lead teams similar to Curry’s to 50+ wins. Either way though currys team last year wasn’t as bad as yall make it out to be, he for sure didn’t have to carry when his team wasn’t much worse without him. Curry’s no where near Russ or harden in his ability to perform with less talent by his side. Both of the would almost be able to do just as well as Curry if they were given the team Curry’s been given this season considering what they could do with teams much worse than this.

@@veloxityy_4872 You still didn’t knowledge the fact that Harden was carried in the playoffs for multiple games especially throughout that 2016 run you’re acting like that team wasn’t built around Harding that they didn’t have multiple shooters that they weren’t an all star away to be a contender which turned out to be true when they got Chris Paul.
And an incredible defense is right for the 2017 team they have a top 10 defense how is that not great.
Victor Oladipo will eventually become an all NBA player when he will leave literally the season after.
That is easy better than what Wiggins in pool bring combined.
Wiggins was looked as a undeniable bust during that time and although he did play very well in that season it was mainly for his defense rather than his offense.
Steve Kerr refuses to let Curry play for the men’s game which is understandable that season didn’t really matter anyway but unlike James Harden and Russell Westbrook where they are allowed to play the whole game in potentially change it Stephen Curry doesn’t get that luxury in there has been multiple gangs were Stephen Curry will be hot and then he will randomly take them out the game and he’ll be cold again which is bad.
Andrew Wiggins in that time was at most a star player that’s what everybody view him anyway.
And Jordan pool although at his peak was also a star player was extremely inconsistent back then. Shoot he is still inconsistent even though.
Even if you disagree and you still think Currys team is by far better than what Russes team was in 2017 which I guess is fair I did agree that he carried them offensively but his defense is underrated.
He only did it once and it was with a team were during that time the media still thought will make the playoffs no but I didn’t think they all missed the playoffs or at least I didn’t.
And then after that you didn’t disagree when I said that he didn’t carry a team again.
Why is it the narrative that Russ can always carry a team and frankly he only done it once.
And even if you disagreed with everything I said why is it a negative why do we treat it like it’s a bad thing to carry the worst team in basketball?
