+Conrad Guthman Technically, in Norse Mythology, all the three different homelands of the jotun (giants), where normally considered as "hell." The place (and the goddess) in Norse Mythology called "Hel", was no place of fiery death, rather it was death from sickness and disease. A dark, dreary place, where the souls of the feeble would spend the afterlife. Hel was the goddess of death, even the jotun feared Hel. However, Norse Mythology DOES have a flame and lava "hell", called Muspelheim (which means something along the lines of Fire-Home), here Surt, a fire-jotun, riegned. The most commonly visited (in the Poetic Eddas) place of the Jotun, was Jotunheim (Giants-Home). Jotunheim was alot like Midgard (where humans lived), only with more mountains and less vegetation. Finally was the frozen lands of Niflheim ("Nifl" is an old term that means "fist", the meaning is probably a relation to how it felt, entering an area with strong frost), here Thrym the Frost-jotun had his rule. Here is the interesting part though; Niflheim is ALSO the name of the fortress of the Goddess Hel, located in Hel. So when "Hell freezes over", there might actually be something to it.

Let's play a game, take a shot for every time Mr. Freeze says an ice pun.
The inner movie critic in me will give this an F. However, my entertained self will give this an A. I mean, these ice puns are so unintentionally hilarious and quotable, as bad as they are. :P
I know I will never be among those cool film critics for liking this film but you would need a cold heart to not warm up to these puns.
The sad thing is, that Arnold is probably the BEST thing about this movie... And that's saying something.
Mr. Freeze can't survive in any environment above sub-zero temperatures, yet he smokes a cigar at his base
Then again, it just shows you that his interior is stronger than his exterior.
Well, cigar smoke isn't exactly hot...
hot or not, it is still well above sub-zero temperatures
i don't think a cigar has enough heat energy to combat the equipment he uses to cool his base to below zero.
Well, nobody smokes because it's good for them!
"A laundry service that delivers... Wow!" Fucking hilarious. 😂
Worst casting decision ever but best thing in the movie.
Cool down man
Yeah, Arnie may not be the best actor in Hollywood, but in my opinion, he pretty much is Victor Fries!
Well, Arnie was one of my favorite actors when I was a kid and while his performance of Mr. Freeze was laughable (but then so was the movie), I can't help but laugh whenever he spouts one of his ice-related puns.
Steve.. that comment doesn't really make sense..
It's still better than the catwoman movie.
"Allow me to break the ice." WHERE DID THAT GO
I don’t understand why so many hate this movie. I do enjoy watching it. It’s not perfect but it is still a fun ride, especially when all we get today is trash.
I freaking love this movie. I've never seen so much effort and money put into such a pile of crap. It's seriously art. And it's hilarious.
This seems like an homage to the 1960's Batman series, just with a larger budget. Lame puns / campy humour abounded in both.
Say what you want about this movie and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, but you've got to admit, he makes some pretty ICE puns!
Yeah their COOL.
he should've said "there's only one absolute... zero"
I like to chill and watch Mr. Freeze make his icy puns.
Cool story, bro.
Adrian Ortega Now that's not "ice". That's just cold, dude.
mikejohn29mj Dude. I didn't want such a frosty reception.
Adrian Ortega
Go back to the cooler and chill.
ICY what you did there.
Granted how terrible the lines and jokes were, Arnold still look like he had a blast. I always prefer him in comical roles.
+Jacob dow But Michael Ansara when he lived could make any ice puns sound serious
To be fair, what Arnold roles *aren't* at least partly comical? Like outside the first Terminator movie, his most violent films tend to have him make amusing lines.
@@IsmailofeRegime Even in the first Terminator movie, one might argue Arnie uses a bit of humour, like when he was in the gunshop and asked the man for a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.
This movie ruined everyone's career except Arnold. He walked away laughing with 25 million dollars for only 25 days of work. lol
Mr Freeze sure ICED these guys, to CONE a phrase
When I play Batman Arkham City Mr Freeze always give me the COLD Shoulder.
Icey what you did there...
itsBinq oh boy you gave me CHILLS down my spine.
I would love to see Mr freezes reply to these comments.
Cassi Bales I doubt that he'll reply to these comments being he probably think he's 'too cool' for it.
briansivley2001 Everyone needs to just chill out. Lol at least according to him.
mr freeze really seems like a chill dude
Jon Snow: Winter is coming
Mr Freeze: Winter has come at last
Because Arnold's like "Fuck you, Thurman. I'm too badass for you to hypnotise me!"
And this is why there's never been another actor to be Mr. Freeze in any Batman movie after this. They no absolutely (zero) people can top Arnold and this dialog.
FREEZE IN HELL!!! doesn't even make fucking sense....
U don't even freeze, u burn
***** One does not simply walk into Mordor.
That's why it's GREAT! Cold off
And tell me how in a snowball chance of hell is that gonna happen?
This kicks ice!
get out.
The scp's 1:34 Did Mr. Freeze just break the fourth wall?
Honestly I feel Arnold had alot of fun with this roll he seems like a chill dude

Always winterize...YOUR PIPES!
Get into the ice choppa
If it blends, we can make ice pop on it 😅😅
I love this movie. It's so dumb, but it really is a guilty pleasure. Arnie is my favorite part. He really gives the bedt deliveries.
These puns kick some ice
Don't give me the cold shoulder!
Cool puns
Salty Lad
Ok, I'll give you a golden one! #yolo
Indeed, always winterize your pipes
Every fucking line out his mouth was a ice related pun and for whatever reason it gets funnier and funnier every time I watch it.
0:45 Freeze: "What killed the dinosaurs?"
Me: Well, many have thought that the dinosaurs were killed off by the meteorite, but recent findings show that vegetation was already dying out, the meteorite was just climactic end to the-
Freeze: "THE ICE AGE!!!!!!"
Me: Oh, right.
Bone chilling performance, LOLOLOLOLOL
Like there aren't enough puns here?!
Stop just stop
