Everything Wrong With Batman & Robin In An Awful Lot Of Minutes

- We're breaking records today, people. This is the longest sins video yet, for starters. It's also the highest sin count for a movie ever (without a bonus round). Even the outtakes are a little beefier this time around.
Here are all the sins we found in Batman & Robin, a film that nearly won our fan-choice vote a few months back, and one that you have been demanding for months on end. (Launching a little early today; we have a plane to catch).
Thursday: Robot damage.
Next Tuesday: Robotic Sins
Next Thursday: Something else... not sure yet.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we recount next? Merch: teespring.com/stores/cinemasi... - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
It just occurred to me that George Clooney's career and reputation survived this.
*ding*
Because it's not really bad movie and kid's really like this movie
*he was lucky*
But Alicia Silverstones career didnt... and Michael Gough was never seen again.

I get the impression Schwarzenegger didn’t have a clue what he was meant to be doing in this movie, but had a great time doing it nonetheless!
To be fair, I feel that he has a better sense of the film's tone than Clooney and Silverstone (who are both underacting), and Thurman (who is going in the complete opposite direction, even for a film as camp as this one).
This movie was aimed for a younger audience so people must just forget it.
He’s the best part of the movie
Caaauuullliiifowa!
Lmao.
I paid actual money to see this in the theater. I was ready to walk out after Robin said "Cowabunga", but it was 95 degrees outside and I didn't have air conditioning in my apartment.
You poor, poor man
So you stayed in the movie theater to COOL down.
Yes ... the movie sucked 😂
You need to “cool” down
In that case...I forgive you 🙂
The problem is not why Batman's credit card has sound. The problem is why does Batman carries a credit card?
In case he has to buy coffee on the way to the crime scene.

@@jamespaz4333 Yes. He does.
That's why Batman is so fucking stupid. He always knows exactly what's going to happen.
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Now I can't remember why.
Shen Jones Maybe because you WERE a kid, and now you've grown up. There's still a bit of nostalgia, but the adult in you realizes, "Yeah, this was pretty bad..."
Exactly the same for me
Shen Jones because is so fucking crazy kids love it
Shen Jones I hated it even when I was a kid. This movie made me hate Batman until I saw Batman Begins.
Shen Jones kids dont give a shit about quality and just think "batman! fuck ya!" then you notice the problem when your older since you start to notice the issues
Fun fact: George Clooney once said in an interview he was so bored with this movie he decided to try and subtly portray Bruce Wayne as a gay man just to keep himself entertained.
That is the best thing I have ever read.
stupid fact
Makes sense; he said in another interview that he actually killed Batman. I guess that must have come before the gay part, I mean, after ...
His or mine?
I heard he offered to refund anyone who saw the film.
Shocked that "hi freeze, I'm batman" didn't immediately get 20 sins
This movie is basically a two hour Robot Chicken special.
the sexual "access allowed" just confirms it
Or, Chris O'donnell's analogy; Batman Forever felt like a movie, Batman and Robin felt like a feature length toy commercial.

Black Nerd JR Does that mean the Bat credit card is on par with Jar Jar Binks?
J. Corban Murphy I was referring to the number of sins he incurs. He was given 100 sins in the Phantom video. Also, fuck you. I won't tolerate sexist language from someone who has nothing better to do than take every comment on a TH-cam channel as some kind of personal insult.
Claire Lally u go, girl
Except it makes sense.
I worked in Silicon Valley in 1997. As a special treat, our CEO rented out a whole movie theater so we could watch the latest, coolest movie with all the hype: Batman & Robin on opening day. The groans of palpable disappointment echoed throughout the theater on that sad afternoon. More than 300 people collectively boo'ed the film, timidly at first, and then with added gusto. It was a viewing experience like no other, that I will not soon forget.
I guess Silicon Valley is not having a good time now, isn't it?
“Scene does not contain a lap- oh fuck it” kills me hahaha

Pretty sure it already is, if not more.
1. The *CHA-CHING* sound when Batman pulls "it" out.
2. The fact that...you-know-what is there to begin with.
i like how nobody even cinemasins mentions that batgirl in all the comics and cartoons before this movie was comish gordon's daughter but in this she is conveniently related to alfred instead
Yeah that bothers me as well
+TJ F Well there's are multiple Batgirls. You got Barbara Gordon, Betty Kane, Helena Bertinelli, Cassandra Cain, Michelle Carter, and Stephanie Brown.
This movie just kind of took it's own version on Barbara on
true, but if they were going to go with an iconic batgirl, they should stay true to her backstory........though this particular batman movie kinda threw up all over icons and stuff so i guess it fits to have a soulless actress play batgirl in the wrong character bio
+TJ F That's one of the many many stupid things in this movie, but it's alright for Jeremy to not sin it. The book's doesn't matter, you know?
well, in this continuity The Joker killed Batman's parents, which is not accurate to the comics but really added to the narrative of Batman (1989)
I guess my point is, if the movie had a good story, you probably wouldn't care which character became Batgirl. I think a more egregious sin is that they cast Alicia Silverstone, who can't act even a little bit.
Poison Ivy clearly changes before going to the telescope and doesn't have the same wig on when she gets there.
In the first fight when the fake dino falls apart, it roars 🤣🤣
Why did Poison Ivy team up with Mr Freeze in the first place. Mr Freeze wants to cover the world in ice which would kill all vegetation, something that Ivy is pretty fond of if have a clear understanding of the character.

No sin for the clock work orange cosplayers in the coolio scene?
As time goes by, and superhero movies take themselves more and more seriously, it seems that we tend to forget that these things started as comic books, and the early movies were attempting to recreate that environment and "feel". They weren't anything resembling good movies, but they were definitely far more similar to the vision you get in your head from reading the comic books, than for which they get credit.
Exactly; the campiness was very appropriate before they became Oscar bait

Clooney did the "head bob" and "Look down and slightly squint" move SO MUCH IN THIS MOVIE. He pulled that move maybe once or twice an episode of ER. This movie he's just bobby-head-mcgee. It reminds me of the American Dad episode where Francine fake seduces Clooney to destroy him hahaha

It's called Didn't Even Bother With the Research.
Oxford would've probably made wb pay for mentioning their name in the movie.
Neither is Gotham.
True but it's clearly the result of a cultural ignoramus not understanding a colloquial portmanteau of Oxford and Cambridge, or realising that there are cities other than London. And don't get me started on a university student wearing school uniform.

I think another sin is deserved due to the 'super secure' disc containing blueprints and schematics of all Batman's tech and gadgets being protected by the password "Peg." Worst. Password. Ever!
Isaiah Pero it could have been password
Could have been Martha
how/why the hell did they have time to change costumes when trying to save the whole city from freezing in under 12 minutes??

@@Pvt.10k actually, modern paleontologists suggest that the extinction event was a mutated pathogen previously introduced to the bulk of species. I was more sure, personally, of most other extinction events' causes, a wild change in the atmospheric CO2/O2 levels resulting in a redistribution of aerobic and anaerobically respiring microorganisms, leading to widespread disruption of the food chain, and rapid oceanic movement, acidity of water, and contamination of the food network. There's no evidence for any theory.

You missed the chance to do a Flinstones reference with Batman sliding on the dinosaur!
One that you missed: why does Batgirl have high heels as part of her uniform? It's hard enough to run in high heels, I can't imagine fighting in them is going to be that productive
Actually that's not a movie flaw, that's just a female logic flaw, so he most likely left that out on purpose.

CPCoulterTweedles sounds like you're a bit mad there haha, truth hurts doesn't it xD
Why is Bane represented as a mindless idiot in this movie when in the comics he's supposed to be THE criminal mastermind who beat the Batman, than again this is Batman & Robin we're talking about so there's really no reason to point this out, just saying!
Yeah they portrayed bane in a terrible way in this movie
Well fortunately Nolan, Hardy and Co. Got it "little" better.
Yeah technically is the smartest because of photographic memory
IIRC Bane is actually very intelligent in the comics, I don't read comics but that's what I heard.

The thing about the crater. Its not about exploding. From that height the rocket would reach terminal velocity when falling. That along with its mass, which would be a very large number would create an impact force that would destroy the city. Firehawk376 I still stand by the fact that episode 1 was the best out of the new trilogy. Not that it was insanely good, but I think it's at least ok, while the other two are straight up bad.
Cransoon True, but I don't think you understand. Jar-Jar was my FAVORITE CHARACTER when I was little. Of the entire cast, he was the one I liked seeing the most. In my defense I was five at the time, but still...
How is there no sin for Alfred's information about Batman and Robin being guarded by a three letter password (without any numbers or symbols) that sits right on his desk?
And for that matter, Alfred didn't want her riding a motorcycle, but she's riding a motorcycle during the scene where they suit up into their silver Batsuits. So, he made a motorcycle for her, but didn't want her to drive it, but wanted her to help Batman?
Don't think too hard on this, it will just cause a few of your brain cells to die. Plus this movie isn't even worth trying to find logic in it.
Fair enough.
Her suit had very high heels which would cause broken ankles within seconds or minutes, at most, of running with.
Actually, the vibe I got was that, yes, Alfred didn't WANT her to do all that stuff. But he also knew he wasn't going to stop her from trying. So he decided that, if she was determined enough to "crack" (I mean, guess) the cd's password and go ahead with helping Batman he might as well help her as much as possible. Apparently that included a high heeled sexy-leather outfit :p
I thought the "Batman Credit Card" was the most egregious thing in this movie! But the Sound effect tops that 😂😂😂

+Sarwat Ali Well, technically since Batman and Robin is in the same film series as the Burton trilogy there is no Burton trilogy.
+Caleb Hu I meant the burton movies and I am not counting batman and robin in the burton movies
Sarwat Ali Well, in that case there is no Burton trilogy either, since Burton only made 2 Batman movies.
Clooney hates this movie so much, he routinely apologises for it and often refunds anyone that paid to go see it at the cinema.
Richard O George Clooney sucked, Val Kilmer should have came back
Val Kilmer *IS* Batman! I agree that he was the second best, after Adam West of course.
@u wot m8 i agree, i think Christian Bale and Adam West are the only two batmen who should be recognized. Adam West wasnt particularly special imo but he's to batman what Christopher Reeves is to superman.
I watched like 10 times so is he refunding me 10 times a ticket? Hahahaha
Michael Keaton and Bale were the best
I enjoy the Batman credit card says "GOOD THRU: FOREVER"
The movie deserves 1o,ooo sins just for the first ten minutes alone.
I was thinking the same thing.
No bonus round for forced puns? :(
ericb31 Dude, so true. That's why I hate Arnold as an actor. He can't say anything without a cringey one-liner.
another thing that always bothered me about this film was Bane being as dumb (or dumber) than a sack of rocks, in the comics he is quite bloodthirsty in his own way, and the venom DOES affect his mind (at one point actually causing him to forget Batmans' true identity) but in the comics, the guy is a tactical GENIUS and has higher than average intelligence in general, and here he is basically mook with super strength, hell he is'nt really used against Batman and robin in any way until the final fight. man this film really really just gave up on the franchise.
note: also what happened to all the guys looking to buy the Venom serum from Dr. Woodrow? did they hear all the crashing and smashing and kinda just bugger off? or were they just stood up in the observation area when Poison Ivy just walked away with Bane?
Bane is the villain who broke Batman...
BloodySteel64 yeah i knew that, But this films Bane showed an almost complete lack of understanding of the character for my taste, basically making him a dumb mook side character, when in almost all other portrayed media he is not dumb at all.
Finale Faw I know, I am supporting your argument...
BloodySteel64 I apologize if i sounded harsh, i didnt mean to, thank you
Finale Faw Oh no problem
It's almost impressive how Joel Schumacher managed to convince so many of us as kids that this was a good movie.
Remember when The Riddler and Mr. Freeze were geniuses and Batman had to come up with some damn clever plans to defeat either one?!
