Ever since i've listened to him, my life improved much. I've been trying to be more disciplined and stoic for a very long time but couldn't simply seem to do it. I've always been looking for "different methods" or "ways" to reach my goals. In a deeper sense i knew there is no method. You simply do it, boring and painful truth. We all know it in deep down. There are far more stoic and disciplined men out there than me and yet they aren't familiar with the theory i've made over so many years. This pragmatic sense made me stronger than i am.

While everyone may start from a different point, with discipline and self-respect, great things can be achieved even against the odds. As David Goggins said, we all know what it takes, but breaking the lazy spirit within us is not easy. Don’t be angry with yourself, but treat yourself with respect and reverence. Your future self will thank you for it.

And for everyone who criticizes him for being an unemotional person, I want to say. In this video he revealed a part of his soul and left it behind for posterity.

This man has sculpted his own mind to levels unimaginable to others. The only thing I am unsure of is the ‘born with Adhd’. Having read his book, the abusive upbringing he had is what most likely led to it. I have friends with children with Adhd and the minute you look at the way the kids were brought up ( stressful marriages, abusive parenting, shouting or anxious parents), is what seems to give rise to it.
Either way, everyone should take heed from the consistency and repetition of tasks required as David points out, to become a master of anything.

I ask this question genuinely - if it sucks as bad as it does to work and struggle as much as he has, if there’s no carrot to lead someone to work like he does, why would anyone?
Why would someone do something they absolutely don’t want to do, out of any reason other than necessity?
Or is it that he simply views his lifestyle as something required to survive?

ADHD has nothing to do with intelligence. A significant number of creative & entrepreneurial geniuses have had ADHD.

So, what would happen if he looked in the mirror today and said to himself "Your good enough?". The thing I find sad is that he seems like he will never be happy. He's gotten where he is because he's so down on himself. Does he realize he could have gotten where he's at by believing he's better than he thought he was? You can do everything he's talking about without feeling like your a piece of shit. Its served him well but in a way, he's broken. That's unfortunate.
