David Goggins saved my Life. Before January 13th I was suffering from severe Depression, Drug and Alcohol Addiction and weighing 300 pounds obese male and I had hit rock bottom. I was suffering tremendously and I had to make a choice. I started exercising everyday day left social medi for good and slowly started getting better. Today it is June 18th 2024 and I went from being 300 pounds to 239 pounds in six months. Haven't missed a single day of exercising and the most important part is that I no longer Suffer from depression. David Goggins is the true answer to everyone's self doubt and sickness. I am never going back to my Old self. STAY HARD!!! 💪😎🐐🔥

Glad you are doing better. That said, goggins’ mentality isn’t really a great one. He seems miserable, and trying to outwork demons isn’t the answer for most people. There’s a reason good psychologists don’t use his style.

@@Inessa-o2r Hi Friendo, trust me when I would say, I would like to find someone preferably a woman on my journey but it hasn't worked that way. At the apex of my motivation, 10 mile bike rides back fourth from work was something that was extremely uncomfortable some days, then working out three times a week. Completing a diploma from Oxford. It was rough man and I neglected relationships, I was off the radar. You're on level that most people say, "no - that's crazy" and their right! But to be out of that comfort zone is where growth happens. It was the most productive time in my life.I like your idea, it hasn't happened to me yet, I wish it did because my life would likely be better for myself.

I agree for the most part and up to a point. Being 78, I must say that there is a demographic consciousness and reality that we are only dimly aware of througout life. We shift dramatically form 10 20 and then 30 to 50. We tend to have similar experiences with our peers as we go along. Most people don't stop to face death squarely, same with the sbsolute uncertainty of life. I didn't feel I needed anybody until I had serious heart trouble in my early 70's. That brought on the fact of facing death alone or not. Life automatically changes our perceptions and awareness....

I think David Goggins' message is more importent than we realize. Here in the western world, we've believed so much in the pursuit of convenience and comfort that we can't function unless everything is perfect and comfortable. We avoid solving long term problems because we can't deal with the slightest discomfort.
People can't live without air conditioning. People can't get on a plane without the comfort of having their pet. People can't deal with getting up early for work. People need a giant SUV with 400 hp or they can't travel. People are scared to wear a mask because it makes them feel clausterphobic. People need new clothes every month because they need the thrill of shopping. People need to shower twice a day because they need they worry they might smell (yes, I knew someone like this). People are offended by the wrong choice of words.
Doesn't anyone see what we're heading towards?

its a basically just giving power to external stuff and getting it drained from you into objects. when that power is yours. i think the biggest power we give others is permission for them to enter our minds hence why so many people care so much about what they say and how they say it. which is important to some extent but sometimes that fear controls you and you end up being someone else.

The thing about comparing himself to others is the one I don’t share. I’ve heard multiple times “ they will regret, you’ll see” “ they will be in bad places later on” but it doesn’t help me at all comparing to other and I don’t find joy in others bad situation or motivation in it

I admire David Goggins discipline with himself and his drive. I'm always putting my age as an excuse 48. But, there is no such thing, it's all in your mind. YOU can achieve anything, if you really want it. I was told I would never read or write in my life because I have dyslexia, but I can read and write. I had depression, and a drinking problem some what, but got over it, I had an abusive husband. We all have issues in life. It's up to us. Even David Goggins can talk and say motivational things, but its all in our minds to do something.

Can't Hurt Me is one of my favorite books. I would run 🏃 7 miles every day or until I would start throwing up. I studied for 9 months past the Fireman’s exam. Passed it. Just went through cancer about to get back at it. I read that book about 30 times I threw it out about 3 times & it always ended up back on my bookshelf. I could relate to him a lot in this book and I grew up in Buffalo, NY as well. I felt like this book was written for me my father also worked on the Eastside of Buffalo. I know right where Skateland was very bad back when we both grew up there.

I can so relate.I spent 10 years in a wheelchair after a car accident I was hit by 4 cars.I was told by 2 Drs specialists in my injuries that I would never walk again.I got fat in the wheel chair.I weighed 320.The Drs gave up on me.But I never gave up on myself.Like David I did it by myself.I lost 145lbs in 30 weeks 10 years ago and have kept it off since. But anyhow I train for hypertrophy and to get jacked everyday.Ive done this for over 7 years.Im 63.People nicknamed me popeye. And im cool with that.I put in insane workouts. My friends call me a badass MF..My cardiologist compared me to David Goggins..That was a great compliment for sure.I listen to Goggins regularly. He is a badass MF...

Amazing things he's done I just don't understand I did it alone and separate yourself from everyone even farther then you were before?? Why remember the bads by putting yourself in tough times if your already in pain why add more!! Everyone is giving you a pat on your back and your still talking like no needs to give us pats on the back!! I also don't understand all the awards you keep and continue try to accomplish while also saying you don't need anyone or anything to make you great because you did it all on your own !! Don't understand his whole mindset about how he takes souls and does everything on his own and alone and that's how you become great like him?? May God bless you and you my brother...
