I like your addiction Sir 👍. I have a 2023 UK GR86. I love the sound of your car. Could you list all the mods you have made that contribute to it’s sound please? Best regards Chris H.
Florida has fast tracks that let you really stretch out the car's legs. The closest thing that we have like that here in California is maybe Chuckwalla raceway. All other tracks are pretty tight and technical.
Bro, you should race all the fast cars you can. These videos are great! Than once you’re done racing all the fast cars, BOOST yo car! You’ll be pulling up to the scene with your ceiling missing. Rematch those fast cars if possible.. and make more great videos :)
Would you ever revisit tracking the car with traction fully off again? I’ve never tracked personally, but even on the streets, I can tell when track mode’s traction control kicks in and cuts power. I can imagine it being frustrating at times on track, but at the same time, it’s nice to come back with the car in one piece each day.
At 11:55 it looks like his hand was signaling to let you by but either way, it still kept up great through the turns. I'm really considering a GR86 as my next car, just for a fun street toy. It seems like you can actually row through the gears and enjoy it, rather than going 2x the speed limit (or more) before you even get out of 2nd gear, with some of these other cars. Sure, they'd be great on a track but I'm only staying on the street.
This video is like someone picking up a fight with a kid that doesn’t know how to walk and the worse part is the kid doesn’t even know he is in a fight. If you wanna see how good you are join the race group, DE is about learning and not dive bombing.
I definitely wasn’t trying to pick a fight with a GT500 in my 224 hp car. I’m assuming if you signed up in anything over the beginner group on a track day tells me you have some experience. And if you don’t it would be best to get an instructor and stay in beginners until you’re comfortable moving around on track. I do agree with you with dive bombing, which is no fun. But if I’m and others are in your mirror for laps and flashing the lights and you still don’t have a clue of what’s going on and maybe it’s best to get an instructor. Not arguing of who’s right or wrong. But if we’re here to drive cars at the limit, and you have people that can’t do that specially, in the car with three times a horsepower maybe I should move into a faster group with my lower horsepower car.
@@phelpsgarage4202 I hear you man, but as the faster driver in the group it’s still your responsibility to keep things safe, you can’t expect the Red Sea of less experienced drivers to part the gap for you. We’ve all been in that situation of guys blocking and missing out on a PB, so for you moving into a faster group will surely help, I mean your car has AP racing brakes on and those are not for beginners or intermediate drivers. I don’t know which organization you run with, but it kinda of looked like an open track day where you’ll find guys signing up for the advanced group but still need Mega work. At the end of the day good work and driving, keep at it 👍.
@@ycharlie5993 yeah I would love to move into advance with open passing, but man you’re hanging out with Porsche GT3 and Z06 so I’m always staring in my mirrors 😩
Badass run! Traction/grip wise have you noticed a significant difference with the aero or was it a moderate change. Also how did you figure out the coilover spring rates with the aero in mind?
I'm not too well versed in tracking. But looking at the lines you took. At 11:14 you slowed down and you turned. When you exited, you still had a lot of track. And you have a decent way til you get to the next corner before the long straight. Could you have taken that corner at a much higher velocity?
I see what you’re saying, and I could’ve pushed a little bit more through there, but I’ve gotten sideways there before, and probably over slowed the car.
@@phelpsgarage4202 ahh okay. Makes sense as to why ya slowed down. You were chewing on his bumper, bro and ya still managed to beat the stang. I kinda figured as much. The weight of a car plays a huge factor.
@@phelpsgarage4202Not if the driver doesn’t know what he’s doing! That driver was pathetic! If I was behind that wheel of the GT500 I would have sent your little rice bowl back to Japan in shame! 😂
You’re making excuses for a near 800 horsepower car vs a 2.4 liter na 4 cylinder lmao. In all seriousness mustangs should just stick to the drag strip. It’s not a track car unless heavily modded. Those 4,000 pound boats get passed by damn near anything on a track
@@ak740_Don’t forget about the Mustang GT350R and the new Mustang GTD! Those are designed for track use! The GT500 is more of a muscle car, but in the right hands it can be a good track car! Especially the track pack GT500.
As a fellow 86 owner I aim to be as good as you and hopefully race you sometime in the near future

Great driving!
It was my first time here in the GR so I know I can improve, but thank you
Awesome videoo! Personally i enjoy cornering fast vs straight fast. Gr86 rocks!
Same but imagine more power too 😎
Good stuff man!
Thank you

Thanks!

nice job. make sure you use the whole racetrack. coming out of the corners, its OK to let the inertia take you wider. just $.02

I had the higher spring rates for the aero to begin with. I can feel the difference with it. I need to push more but feel the tires are done
