So clearly Barks needs to brush up on his SPI knowledge and we already know Storm keeps Jungo on staff just for his physical game 😂 All jokes aside, our apologies with the Duo coverstock mixup! Hope you enjoyed the review!
This is one of the most useful reviews JRPS has ever done. The information Jungo provided in regards to the skill to be able to read and adjust to the lane changes are invaluable along with all the other analysis that you provide in every review. BTW, kudos to Jimoo for his productions skills. Keep up the excellent reviews, gents!
Outstanding explanations of both the ball characteristics and how they match up to lane conditions AND how to make adjustments when experiencing the lanes are going through transition.
Jungo you are the best in the business, I will not buy a new ball without watching your reviews first.i wish I could get the ball off my hand half as good as you do.when ever I’m having a bad day it’s usually because of my thumb not getting out correctly, any suggestions I love your show.
SPI anyday of the week!! It allows me to grow my knowledge in terms of the equipment i throw, and how i can blend my arsenal and know its pros and cons to help me with my game
Have bowled both of the umbrella products, lately it’s been the Brunswick products but, yes But I’ve went back to the SPI, I see that I have more selection of balls that fit me better. Thanks
Good stuff Jungo. I was a Brunswick umbrella bowler until I got a Motiv Pride. So now I guess I'm a use any brand bowler. Still a Radical, Hammer, Motiv kinda guy. Not a Storm fan (sorry Jungo) Back when Storm first started I bought one it cracked shortly after. So I got another one and same thing. Never bought one since. I will say the Duo is a sharp looking ball.
I tend to go storm brands, I absolutely love your reviews very informative, as a lefty my problem is I get awful problems with transition and I really have trouble knowing what ball to go to. please help.
Any brand for me, but leaning towards SPI stuff lately. Started with Ebonite Mission 2.0 and Hammer Emerald Vibe, bag got stolen and I picked up some used BW balls to get by. Then I got a C300 Savage that I still throw as the first ball out of my bag. Picked up the Nova and Phaze4 last year. Bowling the "Get your Gear" league with a couple friends just getting into bowling so now I have to decide which balls to get.
Tried most brands. First ball was a zen soul. Then tried UC3, hammer 3d offset, black widow hybrid, motiv sky raptor and black venom. The ones that are still in my bag is the zen soul and black venom. I find storm balls are more easy to read and control while motiv balls are good in durability and shelf life.
I have a little of everything. I have a Columbia 300 Torq I like. I love the Brunswick Zenith Solid. I have a Few Motiv balls but lately I’ve leaned to Roto Grip and Global. And now I’m trying Storm as well. I’ve shot 4 300’s with a Roto Grip Halo pearl and 1 with a Global Reality. So I’m buying more under the storm umbrella now.
JR you're an amazing bowler...great video and great teaching in this video and good use of 3 different balls....love your guys' channel...great work....!!!
yep pearl, just bought one, the "pearl" looks like a solid though so i'm not even slightly confused that people keep calling it hybrid. it's got a light shimmer in it but it's hardly "mother of pearl" in appearance
My current arsenal is all Storm, but have a Brunswick ball on the way. I've stayed under the Storm brands since that's what the home pro shop has & knows. RG balls really haven't appealed as much as 900 Global if I expanded the arsenal, but I do have 2 specific additions outside SPI on deck (Rhino Pro & Purple Hammer).
I use to be SPI, but I have had to many crack in a controlled enviroment (meaning not in the car or the garage). Went Motiv and Brunswick family of brands. My ball cracking nightmare disappeared. Shame because SPI has some great balls, but I had to stop the financial bleeding.
Just ordered the Xponent. Haven't tried it yet. I think it might be a good choice for your conditions in the video and probably compariable to the Zen Gold Label. I'm hoping so!
Mainly throw SPI line since that's the equipment I started bowling with and I like the products. With that said, I am going to purchase a Venom Shock for this season. It will be my first non SPI ball. I attend all the local demo days, becbecause is always interesting to me to see how other comcompaniesuipment looks going down the lane.
I bowl mostly from Hammer or the Storm umbrella like Dark Moss from 900 Global and Roto Grip Idol Helios. As for Hammer, the Black Widow Pink and the Purple Hammer.
Over/Under is something I hear but did not understand. Thank you for the clarification. I do experience over/under problems. I miss right and the ball is too strong (over) hitting either the head pin or Brooklyn. Then if I miss left the ball just slides 🛝 leaving 3-6-10. So what exactly is the adjustment?
I throw whatever works for me, it just so happens that storm umbrella has been working better for me recently so my next balls will come from them. Funny thing is the current arsenal is Tzone, Damn Good Verge, Mission Unknown, and Nova.
Seems like most reviews are brand comparisons, with a limited number of cross-brand comparisons. This does factor into choice a bit, but ultimately it comes down to what catches my eye and upgrades/fills a void in my arsenal.
I stick with Storm family because of the quality of their products, and their company's business model. With a couple of exceptions (Ice Storm & Tropical Line) they are manufactured in the United States. I'm an American, that's important to me. Great review as always Jungo.
Cool video talk tech bowling bowling ball 900 golbal zen gold label with nano technology in the bowling ball more strike and spare hitting power at time Jr pro shop
I pretty much throw all the brands. I have Motiv, Brunswick, Storm, 900 Global, Roto Grip and DV8 in my arsenal. But if I were to choose one I'd pick either Storm or DV8. Motiv might be close too lol
Under the Umbrella, but I don't got a rotogrip ball yet. What ball would you recommend to from Rotogrip that is around the same as the Wolverine Dark Moss?
I would love to have a full 900G lineup but little tough these days. But maybe we'll get some more toys to fill out the line. It's tricky as I get you can only make so many balls for each line but at the same time...it's getting to be rare for a 900G sponsored pro to have a 900G ball on the rack when on tv.
I live 20 minutes south of storm factory. Been there a few times. I throw black widow, along with storm products. I like to start right now with revenant and move to infinite. I also started with legend and tral monster along with nova. Not brand loyal
I tend to stick to one family. Find it easiest to find not only comparisons but to make sure I don’t get a ball that reacts the same as something I already have. I do really tend to stick to series of balls. So if I like the iq I’m getting the ruby. If I like the phaze 2 getting the phaze 5. Ect.
Well I'm a B7 guy but I picked this ball up on a discount. So my bag for 1 of my 3 leagues will be straight 900 global. Another league it'll be mixed and then B7 for the other bag.
I throw Motiv and I feel that it's harder to transition ball to ball if you have multiple companies. I was throwing Storm/Motiv, but for my game Motiv was better. 🤘
BTW, I throw them all. No brand is safe. Unless, I get good and get on staff somewhere, lol. Having fun getting back into bowling. Only been bowling a year since 2009 and I'm up to a 180-190 average. That's after switching from no thumb to Thumb in. I can hit a 10 pin now, ha ha.
Why do you guys use sport patterns and not house since most of us that watch your reviews bowl on house shots? Sport tells us nothing about what the ball will do for us. .02
I gave up on Storm/Roto/900 Global when the 6 balls got banned by USBC only a week after I bought 2 of them specifically for Nationals. And to expect me to PAY to return them to Utah so I can get replacements is a freaking joke. Will never throw any Storm family equipment ever again.
So clearly Barks needs to brush up on his SPI knowledge and we already know Storm keeps Jungo on staff just for his physical game 😂
All jokes aside, our apologies with the Duo coverstock mixup! Hope you enjoyed the review!
I mostly bowl with the storm family. Have used some motiv here and there, and have a purple hammer, but just love the balls from the storm family
SPI babyyy

I throw the SPI FAMILY. But really love the Storm cause of the scents. Smell soo good and roll great to.
Outstanding explanations of both the ball characteristics and how they match up to lane conditions AND how to make adjustments when experiencing the lanes are going through transition.
😊very good 👍 I love this video tuff got all those balls that DUO IS THE BALL ITS GREAT
Jungo you are the best in the business, I will not buy a new ball without watching your reviews first.i wish I could get the ball off my hand half as good as you do.when ever I’m having a bad day it’s usually because of my thumb not getting out correctly, any suggestions I love your show.
I’m a roto grip guy, but as of late hammer with the black widows series, and global 900 balls have been making the bag lately.
Sheesh I been waiting for jungo to pop up!! Kept checking the channel!!
SPI anyday of the week!! It allows me to grow my knowledge in terms of the equipment i throw, and how i can blend my arsenal and know its pros and cons to help me with my game

Funny you should ask. My favorite balls still using a OG Idol, Motiv T10, Hammer Envy Tour, Ebonite GB3. Storm mix as spare ball. 3 old urethane 15:14
Any brand for me, but leaning towards SPI stuff lately. Started with Ebonite Mission 2.0 and Hammer Emerald Vibe, bag got stolen and I picked up some used BW balls to get by. Bowling the "Get your Gear" league with a couple friends just getting into bowling so now I have to decide which balls to get.
My last two balls are under the Brunswick umbrella. Love my latest, the Ebonite GB4 hybrid.
I have most brands, but I prefer my DV8 and Radical balls. They've been the best for me.
Tried most brands. First ball was a zen soul. Then tried UC3, hammer 3d offset, black widow hybrid, motiv sky raptor and black venom. Another great review! How does the Gold Label stack up against the Dark Code?
All Brands under Storm. Started using Storm 20 years ago.
Just started in 22, hammers were my go to, but this season I switched up my throw and made a switch to Storm family
Duo is a Sym Pearl according to Storm’s website 😉. Big pearl cover though
yep pearl, just bought one, the "pearl" looks like a solid though so i'm not even slightly confused that people keep calling it hybrid. it's got a light shimmer in it but it's hardly "mother of pearl" in appearance
I currently only use Radical gear but just picked up a Cuda pearl.
I'm also a big fan of Radical, but currently my go to ball is the Hammer Black Widow 2.0 hybrid. I really can't recommend that ball enough.
My current arsenal is all Storm, but have a Brunswick ball on the way. I've stayed under the Storm brands since that's what the home pro shop has & knows. RG balls really haven't appealed as much as 900 Global if I expanded the arsenal, but I do have 2 specific additions outside SPI on deck (Rhino Pro & Purple Hammer).

great video, I suck at over/under conditions
Just ordered the Xponent. Haven't tried it yet. I think it might be a good choice for your conditions in the video and probably compariable to the Zen Gold Label. I'm hoping so!
I've been waiting for weeks for a Hustle RIP and M+M review... are you guys going to cover them?
I like using all the brands i have access to to my advantage
however I really really like Radical equipment
Thank you for not letting the lefty do this one 😂
purple hammer
exotic gem
reality
phaze 5
melee jab carbon
hyped solid
I have mainly Radical Stuff, but I am starting to diversify a little. I have a Summit and an Idol Helios.
I've used storm bowling balls for a while, but now I use Colombia 300. I can go back to storm if there's a ball that isn't too aggressive
Been using rotogrip, but zen is looking good.
Over/Under is something I hear but did not understand. Thank you for the clarification.
I do experience over/under problems. I miss right and the ball is too strong (over) hitting either the head pin or Brooklyn. Then if I miss left the ball just slides 🛝 leaving 3-6-10.

I have a Brunswick ball, a storm ball, and a hammer ball so I just throw whatever.
I throw whatever works for me, it just so happens that storm umbrella has been working better for me recently so my next balls will come from them. Funny thing is the current arsenal is Tzone, Damn Good Verge, Mission Unknown, and Nova.

No one calling yall out on the Hybrid naming on the Duo, lol. Still a great vid as always. Duo is a pearl, lmao.
Nice tan lines Jungo 😂
Storm only baby!
I would love to have a full 900G lineup but little tough these days. But maybe we'll get some more toys to fill out the line.

I'm sorry but the Duo is a pearl bowling ball. This video was very well done.
I tend to stick to one family. Find it easiest to find not only comparisons but to make sure I don’t get a ball that reacts the same as something I already have.

I use a mix of balls from both the Brunswick and the Storm umbrella. Heck, I'll use anything to get my average up. lol
I throw Motiv and I feel that it's harder to transition ball to ball if you have multiple companies. I was throwing Storm/Motiv, but for my game Motiv was better. 🤘
Duo is not hybrid, microtrax pearl reactive only!!!
Any brand
Surprised no comparison with the OG Zen
BTW, I throw them all. No brand is safe. Unless, I get good and get on staff somewhere, lol. Having fun getting back into bowling. Only been bowling a year since 2009 and I'm up to a 180-190 average. That's after switching from no thumb to Thumb in. I can hit a 10 pin now, ha ha.
The Duo is a pearl not a hybrid
I do not believe the duo is a hybrid
It's a pearl. For some reason they keep calling it hybrid 🤷🏻
Duo is a pearl
Any ball for me
I like to use any brand other than Radical. I dont like what radical stands for and i dont like how they advertised their equipment.
My pro shop knows my equipment better than I do, so when I want a new ball, I just ask him what my best option is. Brand doesn't matter to me.
Duo is a Pearl not hybrid Barks.😀
Reserve blend 801= REX
Why does everyone play the fate so far left?? Literally just play it straight and get it to the dry and it will split the 8-9 on every good shot
I don’t think the duo is a hybrid…
Why do you guys use sport patterns and not house since most of us that watch your reviews bowl on house shots? Sport tells us nothing about what the ball will do for us. .02
All Motiv right now was mostly Storm before.
All of my equipment is under one umbrella. SWAG equipment is amazing.
Until I get paid or free balls, I have no loyalty to any brand
I gave up on Storm/Roto/900 Global when the 6 balls got banned by USBC only a week after I bought 2 of them specifically for Nationals. And to expect me to PAY to return them to Utah so I can get replacements is a freaking joke. Will never throw any Storm family equipment ever again.
I’ll throw anything. My go to is my idol cosmos but I also really like my radical innovator and purple hammer solid.
I'm not on staff so why limit myself to any particular company? If I can get my hand in it I'll throw it 😂
