      Is your ball rolling over your thumb?

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drewnip5 nope, I track kind of far from my fingers actually. I have a really large thumb, so it has this weird effect and you can hear my ball roll down the lane lol

    How about diving into the different hand positions and releases that was mentioned?

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sure we could’ve. Maybe in the future?! But this video could’ve gone on for days if we discussed everything in detail like that.

    • @peterthebowler
      @peterthebowler ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @scottandersonbowling9183 1 at a time, good content idea, maybe stretched over time. Speaking for myself, I'm not sure how to make the hand adjustments you called out.

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@peterthebowler understood. Worst comes to worst right now, just experiment. Watch a myriad of bowlers and see what their hand does compared to yours. Maybe you’ll stumble on something spectacular! I’m sure all of the current day rules weren’t known immediately. Sometimes we need to discover what works for us on our own!

    • @ScottAndersonBowling

      Any generic finger tape really works and I cut it into strips to pull it over.

    One of the things I try to tell people about practicing is to NOT worry about your score whatsoever. Just concentrate on what you're wanting to improve on. Leagues and tournaments are when to look at the scoreboard.

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว

      I never have score on when practicing. It’s useless and only hinders progress!

    People keep telling me I bold too slow and they all. I beat you in practice and be like me up but I keep telling them I don't really care what the score is in practice. I'm trying to do it right really right in league play. That's what matters to me. I got people 250 and practice 270 235 doesn't matter to me. What matters is what I do in League play. Have a good evening. Fellas as usual the guys are always great. Keep up the hype😊

    Another great video. When I practice, I usually work on something like my posture (shoulders back) hip position (because it guides my swing) and ball release. I have also started working on my trail arm to give me more balance at the foul line. Most importantly, I practice my spares. Strikes for show, spares for doh...

    First of all, hello fellas, I just started watching you guys about five videos ago. I guess I'm 69 years old. Great bowling content analysis. Keep up the good work. I like the way you are explain things on the other question is does the PAP really matters? Thank you

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir! PAP is very important when laying out bowling balls to be drilled.

    If I can't practice, I can't practice. If I'm hurt, I'm hurt. Simple as that. It's not about that at all. But it's easy to talk about and sum it up when you just talk about practice; we're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're in here talking about practice. I mean, listen, we're talking about practice. Not a game! Not a game! Not a game! We're talking about practice. Not a game; not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last, not the game, we're talking about practice, man. I mean, how silly is that? We're talking about practice. I know I'm supposed to be there, I know I'm supposed to lead by example, I know that. And I'm not shoving it aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important. I do. I honestly do. But we're talking about practice, man. What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man! We're talking about practice! We're talking about practice... We ain't talking about the game! We're talking about practice, man! When you come to the arena, and you see me play... You see me play, don't you?

    When you say you are placing your feet at 13, what part of which foot are you placing? I place the middle of my left foot(right handed) which is the part of the shoe that is the farthest out, I drift 2 to 3 boards left, so I place my left foot at 17 1/2 board and go 7 at the arrows out to 5.

    • @ScottAndersonBowling
      @ScottAndersonBowling ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s always the inside of your slide foot. So the inside of my left foot is on 13.

      Do you know of anyone who has used a thumb sleeve? I just ordered one. I have been using the nylon thumb tape for the past 10 years. It would be good if I can cut out that expense.
