Not really hard to do that. Not only do the characters in the real movie have horrible style and design choices (seriously, who thought Jason Momoa looked good like that???), the plot just seems like it's going to be an average pre-Sonic videogame movie cringefest.

I binged both movies with my freind a few days ago and the plot actually manages to stay so beautifully consistent. The rules and concepts of Parkour get pushed to there utmost limits and the ending of the 2nd movie was hype af
Call it a Jeep for how mush suspension of disbelief you need. But once you do it's pretty great, he never cheats by gathering blocks or taking extra stuff from any of the stuffed chests. Which isn't a plot hole, but should've mattered more and pointed out why he deserves the crown. Also many times of solutions literally falling out of the sky or randomly gifted at the perfect time.
For as stupid as it is, the fact that it's so genuine i think is what really drives people to it. Like, it knows what it is and revels in it, not feeling even a hint of shame about even a line as stupid as "The book was written in Parkor." We've been seeing a resurgence in this kind of genuine investment in casual storytelling as of late, I think as a response to the 2010s era of meta and self-depricating storytelling.
I think a reason it's so great is that it's complicated enough to have disscussion about it but simple enough to be able to listen to it in the background

The way I first heard about this was through a video by a real life parkourist. It was a fusion of a video essay and a vlog set on top of the roofs of Paris. The guy essentially analised minecraft parcour culture and compared it to real life parkour culture to find all of the little similarities. The last 15 or so minutes were him analyzing the story of the parkour civilization, while there were frequent cuts back to Paris inbetween.

parkour civilization movie 2 is one of the rare examples where the sequel is just as good as the original. it gives more elaboration on the ending of the first and expands on the parkour civilization world in a way that is both logical and also engaging to viewers. its ending is legendary and the character of parkour god Evbo is truly wrapped up.
