Tegan and Sara have SOOO much music to offer. Their "old stuff" is so plentiful. To say "I miss their old music" is kind of like saying "yeah you guys suck now". Isn't that hostile in a way? Embrace the new! I happen to like the music they are making. I love the music they have made for many many years. New is fun. New is experimental. Its hard to be critical of such great artists ;)
I've loved them both since I was little, my dad had all of their albums and we listened to them all the time almost, and even after him being gone, I'm still a fan.

The mainstream trash is, well, trash. (British) New Wave, Indie, Dream, and Synth pop are completely different though.

What people fail to understand is that everything and everyone including Tegan and Sara grow and change, focus on the change part, stop holding on to the past so much, enjoy their old and new stuff, stop living in the past, nothing stays the same, if they made the same music forever they would not gain an audience cause most people grow and leave, that's how it is, we change to adapt to the new situations in life or else we wouldn't survive, it's the same thing to music.
Fresh pop sound! Is good, love their old stuff too, but is nice to see they're evolution in music and the way they can do acoustic music, as indie rock and now pop! Love that two
