Thank you so much for opening up and sharing your journey! For me, the biggest eye-opener was what your friend mentioned about tracking clothing sizes and using them as benchmarks. Also, working on the relationship with ourselves was a terrific tip that many others don’t mention.
Thank you for such a personal story, and I cannot wait to hear more about your journey!

It's so easy to become almost addicted to losing weight and reaching a new goal when you have a longish journey like I had. You are so right, so many people only talk about the physical!
Thank you so much for watching!

I’m pretty strict with my nutrition nowadays too tbh. Not eating really isn’t a problem, I’ve been able to fast for 66 hours so far and it does have amazing benefits, but what you eat once you finish your fast is very important. Calories aren’t the biggest determining factor to losing or taking weight, I think it more has to do with what foods your consuming, and carbs + sugar are definitely your worst enemy. I could rant about a ton of other things for days but I did want to say that I love the message around the end, it’s hard to lose weight but it’s even worse if you’re always trying to find fault in yourself. I’m always hard on myself since I don’t have the six pack I want so I know how that feels.

Thank you for watching, I wouldn't say I'm strict but I have little desire for foods that are heavily processed or fatty since my mind set changed on why I eat well and why I'm active. Personally fasting would not work for me and lots of people for one reason or another. On calories, of course they are not the most important factor but they are a factor when looking to lose weight, but I am of the belief that if your diet is balanced, nutritious and well rounded then they naturally come to where they should be. A huge mistake lots of people make when starting out is cutting carbs or cutting back too far on carbs which is not sustainable in the long term. I am with you on the fact I could discuss the topic all day long

@@veronicahubbard7335 I have heard that intermittent fasting isn’t as effective for everyone but it’s got tons of benefits aside from weight loss so I’ll always recommend it. But I do highly agree with what you said about cutting carbs, I do tend to recommend it but only to a degree that is manageable in the long run.

I think the key to any changes is asking yourself if you would be happy to continue eating or exercising in a certain why in the long term, if the answer is no then whatever method someone is turning to is perhaps not right for them. A point which is missed a lot of the time is that you should feel positive about the journey and the measures being taken, if a person feels to restricted then generally the chances of success in the long term are greatly reduced

I'm glad I left it alone because I feel I could have easily become obsessed in my early days, but at the same time I was a little afraid of the reality of the number and did not want to see it

I don't understand GPS who talk like that, why would you hurt someone on such a topic, health related. Some are too 'straight forward' It did not happen to me, but few friends of mine had bad communication and support from doctors...like you are fat and lazy...really sad situation. Anyways, I think you had an amazing journey, you pointed out great facts about weight loss, as you felt it. This journey transformed you not just physically but maybe also emotionally. Walking is the best, since we have kids, walking daily is a routine and it really kept me...sane (not the fittest but at least it kept me not gain even more.) Congratulations on your achievements!

I agree, it can seem like doctors can forget that they have a real person on the other end of the conversation, not just another number! Weight is a very sensitive topic, especially at a young age. I love walking and if I miss a day of walking I feel very incomplete and more tense. It is a very good all round form of activity, with much less injury risk than others

Lockdowns have been challenging for a lot of people in many ways, I hear similar situations to yours, so you are certainly not alone on that one. If there is anything I could do that would be helpful, please let me know
