Same here still play the album after all these years. Had it since 1984. The thing about this album is that he was a talented song writer & producer & a huge list of very talented people collaborated on the album.
Bought this album probably five times in different formats since the 80's and I feel like I still haven't payed enough for how brilliant it is - thank you Thomas Dolby for such a masterpiece!

@@jadou163 omg! You described perfectly how I feel I wish people gave Thomas Dolby more attention because his music is mindblowingly incredible and he is quite an attractive person ♡

Seeing this video for the first time on MTV,just after the album came out,was stupefying.I was amazed and intrigued. It was like a new, unknown form of music to many of us.
Saw him in about 84 in liverpool, saw a red glow through the smoke on stage and it was Dolby walking onstage with a big cuban cigar. Had a similar double breasted suit on as in this video. My first concert too.
I fell in love with this song as a kid and it's stuck with me all these years. As a matter of fact, it was this song that inspired the comic I'm creating. Thank you for the inspiration! Amazing that several decades later the clip is FINALLY restored and dubbed into stereo. The MTV version was mono and a poor transfer, so this is a revelation.
At least in terms of what the music video is about, it is. Essentially, this version of Thomas is trying to teleport "Caroline" from her car into his museum, turning her into a statue in the process, as to preserve her beauty, I believe. Definitely an unsettling concept, for sure

OK Class... Pay Attention!! When "The Golden Age of Wireless" was First released it had a Completely Different album cover & Did Not have "She Blinded Me With Science!" And some other differences. An absolute genius Synth poetry...Thomas Dolby......
From the late Fall 1982 going into Winter 1982/83. This was an MTV classic video and the song itself is just plain classic! I miss the 80’s…
Thomas Dolby still fresh and pumping now as back then
I heard the final broadcast of Radio Caroline and laser 558.What an incredible time in history.
When the synthetic hits at 2:37 is so nice. Also the part where he says" paint her eyes so red and her lips so blue." Love you Dolb Master.

Makes the final adjustments
In her rear-view mirror
She's nervous and tense
But she's thinking it over
With logic and sense
She'll overcome her phobia
Oh to paint her eyes so red and her lips so blue
Carve her legend on the bow - Caroline four-five-two
When they come to call for her I will be there too
Observe Radio Silence observe
Radio Silence observe Radio Silence
Maintain Radio Silence throughout
Now where can he be?
What's wrong with the parking meter? What's happening to me?
She'll burst a blood vessel if he doesn't show
She's caught up in traffic
And I am on her radio
Oh to paint her eyes so red and her lips so blue
Raise her likeness on the mast, Caroline four-five-two
When they come to call for her, I will be there too
She tune in till the tune suits her right
She tune in till the dial come alight
She turn the dial till the needle is in the white
Tune in tonight
Tune in tonight
Tune in tonight
