How to use Ellipta inhaler (Trelegy, Relvar, Anoro, Breo, Incruse)

- How to use the Ellipta inhalers, which may be called Trelegy, Relvar, Anoro, Breo or Incruse. Ellipta is the name of the inhaler device, while the others are different depending on the medication they contain (see below). To use these inhalers, you simply open the cover completely, which will activate the inhaler. You would then empty your lungs of air, then breathe in forcefully and deeply from the inhaler, trying to hold your breath at the end for up to 10 seconds.
Trelegy contains 3 medications: fluticasone (an inhaled corticosteroid), umeclidinium (a broncodilator) and vilanterol (a second type of bronchodilator). It is also sometimes called triple-therapy.
Relvar and Breo contain fluticasone and vilanterol (corticosteroid and bronchodilator combination).
Anoro contains umeclidinium and vilanterol (it is a dual bronchodilator).
Incruse contains a single bronchodilator medication, umeclidinium.

How has the pump helped just starting with it
Very Good Demo! But mine came with instructions to also rinse your mouth a couple times to rid the powdery residue/taste.
MY DOC SAID THAT POWDER IS STEROID RESDIUE SO DEFINITELY RINSE
The powder tasted so bad I gagged and almost yacked after I took mine lol
Remember to wash your mouth & throat immediately with water
You forgot to gargle to prevent thrush.
This guy is breathing in wrong, his shoulders go up when he inhales, which brings up his diaphragm thus shrinking his lung volume. The best way to way to do it is to breathe in shoulds low, and expand the stomach to let in more air. There is a divers technique that should be used to push the air down the lungs.

I can’t ever get the medication actually to my lungs it keeps getting stuck in my mouth or the back of my throat.

@@DrStefanCristianStanel yes. I always rinse. My comment was not about rinsing but that I can’t seem to actually get the medicine into my lungs to help my symptoms.
My doctor to me you can get a hose piece ti help you inhale or if it's to expensive a toilet paper roll will work

The one he shows in the video. I got the same one today. It has 14 clicks. It's not powered. Just use something to cover the hole enough where you can get better suction to your lungs.

Do you have recommendations for how to wean off trelegy safely? Should i just take shallower enhales each day? My old GP incorrectly prescribed this to me despite the risks outweighing the benefits, so I want to stop taking it without increasing my risk of an exacerbation by stopping cold turkey.

Hello! I saw this inhaler in my GRANDMA’S house. It was originally 15. But i opened it, it turned into 14 when i opened it, i figured if i reached 0 it would reset. But then it turned red. Please help me fix this and quick. I have 1h and 30m

The "Machine" costs a million, the med probably only a cent. That's 'add value' tactics in action, you silly! Point one, you can't see what you get for your zillion; two, almost half of the dose remains in your mouth, ie is unused; three, you can't controle nothing: the machine owes you, but you pay for it. Zillions!
