this season was beautifully put together. it showed all of the struggles each character faced. justin foley was my favourite character. i loved his development throughout the series. when he died, i couldn’t stop crying. he deserved the jensens as a family. i feel like the best scene in the whole season is one of the last ones, where clay reads justin’s essay for college. it showed how justin would be forever grateful that clay and tony found him on the streets, grateful that he was adopted by such a loving family. it showed clay that no matter what, justin would always be by his side, even if he was dead.

I never thought I’d get so emotional over a tv show before but I was up till 5 am crying and just stressing about how Justin is gone, he didn’t deserve the ending he got and now my grief has turned to anger ik he is just a character in a series but I feel like they are all so much more than that because somewhere this stuff has actually happened to people and the happy ending no matter how good of one they may deserve may never actually happens, Justin, Jessica and clay all deserve better and I wish this didn’t end like this because I’m honestly distraught, I will never ever forget the life lessons this show has taught me, and my crazy love for Justin will never end 😢

I don’t think his show was ever about a happy ending, cause if it was Hannah would’ve never died. It’s real, it shows that even without everyone getting a happy ending you can keep going. never thought I’d say this but this show has taught me loads. Cheers to the writers for wrapping it up in a positively impactful way.

ph nx not trying to be rude but I’m guessing you don’t really know what you’re talking about... From a technical point of view this season was a disaster in comparison to the 1st season. This often happens when show writers run out of the source material from the original author. Another example is season 8 of GoT
That was a sign of new beginning, when toni drove him home in 1st season, it was beginning of the story, and at the end when he drove him to the college, it was a sign of beginning of new life and leaving all pain and sorrow behind..
I was crying from the moment Justin fell on the floor and I understood that he is the one who died till the end of the show, hour and 40 minutes without stopping. Justin was my favorite and it was distressing. It's was so hard to watch him die slowly. When I think about it I wanna cry again. I really don’t understand why they had to kill him at the end.
they missed an opportunity not showing jeff in the end like hannah, and not playing 'the night we met' either at prom or at the very end. strong finish for the show nonetheless, and despite all criticisms it was a really good show for the most part. oh and i didnt like that the group end shot (when they all look over the town) had the older cast members who werent relevant anymore (for last two seasons min.), i wouldve liked maybe sherri to make an appearance from jail though during the post-graduation scene in the gyum where everyone is mingling, she genuinely was nice like jeff, despite her mistakes.
I wish that they would have shown Zach with Justin when he saw him in the hospital because they made it such a point that Zach needed to see him and be there but then they never showed their scene and it made it seem like it really wasn’t as important as they were making it.

The best It first focused on hanah ' s issues n then on clay ' s anxiety n Hallucination issues ! Which were completely relatable to what happens these days ! And honestly speaking I have learnt a lot from this show.. N it was perfect addressing all these issues which must hv helped the audience ❤ I cried for ages when Justin died😭😭I sobbed when I saw justin twitching cuz i didnt want to see my boi like that i didnt want him to go through that shi man ...com on guys why u gotta take my boi justin he was my homie man. Fkn sad ending n the moment when Clay was reading Justin's essay and he found out he wrote about him and choked on readin"He's my....brother" i just burst onto tears and my heart exploded! Almost everything was PERFECT in this Season , I was a bit disappointed with season 3 but Season 4 was rlly GUD ; addressing all the mistakes that all the characters made n sticking with Clay ' s mental issues n Hallucinations ! Am gonna MISS this Show so Muchhh it was my First n the BEST show , soo relatable n was rlly Helpful for me.. everyone should atleast watch this ONCE !

this show is extremely triggering for so many people. I understand that they do include trigger warnings and warn viewers of the graphic scenes they depict. However, was this show not created to spread awareness for suicide prevention and to help people who suffer from the issues this show depicts to find comfort and closure? If the show is too triggering for its target audience to watch, then what is the show achieving by continuing its run? I thought the show was great in season 1 and i think it should have stopped after season 1. The mop scene in season 2, to this day, is impossible for me to watch without having a panic attack. There was no reason for them to include a scene that violent and brutal. Degrassi for instance, is another show, that targets a teenage audience and deals with these same issues, if not more. I believe degrassi does a better job of achieving the goal that this show set out to achieve because it is able to spread awareness for these issues without being unnecessarily graphic and triggering. There were multiple rape story lines, a suicide storyline, drug abuse storylines, - school shooting storyline, PTSD storylines depicted in degrassi, but the difference between that show and this is how it was portrayed. That is why I hate 13 Reasons Why.
I'm so sad that this is the end of this series. To tell the truth, it's as if I had lived with her and the characters. we like to evolve together. I got so attached to them. this series even managed, in season 3, to become attached to Bryce Walker. This series is so well done and so realistic, I am so sad that it ends as its but it had to end one day. I think I'm going to be in a bad mood for a few days and I also think I'll do it again very sincerely. but hey for me it’s really one of the best series that I could see if not the best. She's just amazing. 💕

I thought Hannah and Jeff’s deaths were were painful , but Justin’s was on another level , and just hit different , it broke me to pieces 💔 he honestly deserved better. I loved this season so much. It was amazing seeing them graduate at the end and i am so sad that Justin couldnt be with them. I love this show so much and sad that this is the end. But the made the end the best as they possibly could. I dont think Justin should of died. I was SOBBING for hours but i still love it so muchhh
I’ve learnt a lot from my experiences, a damn lot, I swore to myself I would never ever let anyone be alone, I would be there if they need, this show means a lot to me because it helps people realise these struggles, it opens peoples eyes, and it’s damn heart breaking that it’s so real, it’s not far from what we live in today, dealing with racism, suicide, mental health anxiety and depression, rape terror attacks, deportation and so much more than you ever thought you could in this show, I was getting depressed watching the season at the start, I could feel cal depression and anxiety, I was with him through it, every one here went through that journey with him, it’s a story, but also a lifeline, it shows you are never, ever alone, there is always someone there for you no matter what, everyone is there for each other when the time comes, people can change too, it shows that you should not be ashamed of who you are and your experiences, they define you, whether it’s in a good or a bad way is your choice, don’t ever think you’re alone, you’re not. This is why I love 13rw, because it's about portraying mental illnesses and the show is personally very meaningful to me. If 13 reasons why was only about one person's suffering I wouldn't be so keen on watching it because it feels more lonely that way. The group always tends to argue cause of their personal struggle but at the end of the seasons the episodes are so wholesome they always have each other's backs. And although most people think of it as a dark and depressing show it actually portrays people's lives with mental illnesses with a lot of hope and love to me.
Many of us would agree on the fact that Justin deserved a happy ending so would I but I am really glad when he knew that his end was near he got to know that there are people who loved him people who cared for him that he was worth of love even on his worst days. And the most imp that he got a family who was there for him when he took his last breathe and i am so so glad that he didn't died alone without knowing all of these things ❤️ And also last but not the least he said that if it were the last day of his life he would want to spend it with Jessica and he did
This season is the best of them all, I cannot ask for more (maybe more Alex and Charlie). I'm just sad that Justin did not get his happy ending. This season really brought up emotions I have already forgotten, kudos to the cast and the people behind this wonderful series! I'm kinda sad that this is how they decided to end the show , Justin deserved so much more , his character arc was the best tbh . I wish we saw more of his and Clays bonding this season and less of this entire murder bs cos weve had 3 goddam season of it. Justin's speech made me cry so bad and his death was lousy writing. Only thing I'm super satisfied with is that Alex and Charlie love each other , they're precious.

*[following text includes spoilers]* i feel like I am the only one who actually HATED the last seasons; I don’t just think it’s bad I actually hate it. everything was just so rushed and the issues were just covered superficially. here’s an overview of the topics addressed in the final season: anxiety, depression, police brutality, protests, surveillance, racism, alcoholism, drug abuse, STDs, coming out, personality disorder, gun control. All these problems are very modern and I believe all of them deserve to be mentioned and explained further but not like it was done in the final season. Even though topics like the drug abuse (Justin) or the gun situation in America were addressed pretty detailed there were also things that were barely mentioned. One example is Justin‘s death in the end because he had aids. Of course AIDS can happen to everyone and it’s super important to talk about protection during sex BUT the show barely talked about it. All they did was to say that you should use protection (again: important stuff, I know) but that’s it. Another aspect was Zach‘s character. He struggled with an alcohol and drug problem in the last season and was portrayed as a destructive guy which didn’t do him any justice because all of the development he had in the first three seasons went down the drain. And WHAT WAS THE POINT of that one scene with the hooker where the writers presented him as a rapist (or an attempted one) - Same goes for clay when he watched that girl on the bed sleep and got „hard“. And also his split personality or personality disorder ? Why would you include that in the story if you won’t explain it further. I feel like this was just included for a dramatical plot twist. Why would you present two characters as possible rapists or abusers if you’re not going to mention it every again later on. Clay‘s actions were only mentioned in therapy one more time and that’s it. What zach did wasn’t even mentioned afterwards. So again: what was the point of including these scenes? it seemed to be like the writers just wanted to add some random drama and shock moment for the fans and that’s it. So many things were incomplete. Like why was Zach in that condition? Why didn’t the writers talk more about HIS state of mind and how he got over the drinking problem (bc alcoholism is a serious problem and you can’t get over it over night)? What happened to the racist cop who only arrested the domenican guy? And you’re telling me that Tyler was suddenly okay with dating the sister of the guy that abused him physically and mentally? Why didn’t he get more screentime? Anis Mom (hello?anyone??)??? In Addition to that: I get that Shows don’t always have happy endings and that life can be shit but I would have loved it if they let Justin stay alive. He suffered so much and was never truly happy and to just kill him off out of no where sends a really bad message. ,,Sometimes no matter how much you try you will never be happy because life is shit.“ The Show caused some heated arguments and discussions because of its controversy but srsly why couldn’t they just end the show with a tiny bit of optimism? and don’t get me started on the fact that they covered up a murder and got away with it. I get it, they’re friends and stuff but all of them were mentally not stable because of the murder and suddenly they all got over it without confession? Sure ma‘am. I really liked Clay‘s speech in the end though and I love the show in generel because it actually addresses important topics and doesn’t sugarcoat it but I would have loved it more if they mentioned less controversial topics but rather focused on evaluating those few mentioned a bit more. Sorry but they did cover a majority of those topics throughout the entire show.Anxiety has been shown through Clay since season 1, depression with Hannah and Alex season 1, season 2 with Clay and season 4 with Clay and i think a few others. Police brutality in seasons 3 and 4 but some mentions of it in the other seasons. Protests in seasons 3 and 4 through Jessica's club, surveillance in season 4 but hints of it in the other seasons when the parents want the kids to be open with them. Racism in all four but its very subtle in the early seasons. Alcohol and drug abuse in all four. STD's were referenced throughout but didn't make an appearance until the final season and coming out in all four seasons. Personality disorder is a very broad term so I don't quite understand what you mean by that and then gun control in the last 3 seasons. Each topic was touched on, but sorry if not the way you like or would have preferred.
The fact that Clay lost anyone he ever truly loved has me thinking that maybe loving is a losing game and it makes me feel scares to love for some reason. We live in a cruel world in which everyone is facing their own challenge. Even on the worst day there are people who love you. Life is a pretty spectacular thing
People come in your life for a reason life is short literally so God wants us to live like it's your last it's not how you die but live and take what you've learned and turn it into wisdom you learn u love u grow and when you're gone and go to the other side hope you made a difference an impact Maya Angelus once said people will never forget how u make them feel sometimes life is like working out at times it hurts but as you go you get stronger just have to endure the pain ups and downs of life joy comes in the morning

Justin was not just one of the main characters, he also played his role well done as a role model to all of us. I in-between these episodes and during the final season got much more aware of how important our own process in life is and how we can throughout truly live with all what is bothering us. We are allowed to cry, we are allowed to scream the pain out of our lungs in case and hope that someday, someone will hear us. It is not always easy, no one ever has to expect us to be okay. It is okay not to be okay. We all find ourselves in moments where we keep fighting for the good in us and sometimes people will get rid of them. The will to do things is stronger than to give up, deep down we all know that. 13R is an emotional and throughout inspirational series full of love, pain and overall friendship and people who are living. Society is teaching us some sort of being a perfect character in this somehow broken world we live in. I could imagine even more than 13 Reasons why we are never achieving this massive process of becoming perfect. Life is painful, unexpectedly and even more half alive broken. I figured out during the series, that I am in need to talk. That I can not always be the perfect listener and the role model to anyone. Just as Clay Jensen, I am willing to help, to be there when my friends are the ones who need the help. Friends are the people in life who are holding on to you in every possible way. While watching the process of Justin as it all turned into some sort of horrifying ending, I felt inner freezing as if I am losing a friend I don't knew I have. Justin is my role model in every case I could imagine one and he teaches me to do better and to always see hope. As Clay Jensen told us during his final speech in the last episode. We all need to keep fighting. It may not always be easy and sometimes we will feel like we can not move on, but even in the baddest times, life can and will be spectacular. Remember this. In memory of Justin Foley. We mess up. We learn. We get better.

I just experienced passing away of a loved one and it was really hard to get through this episode it broke my heart for Justin for clay and for my grandma who's not here anymore but it also made me realise its life shit happens unexpectedly and I guess you gotta keep moving it's hard but you have to. That was a sign of new beginning, when toni drove him home in 1st season, it was beginning of the story, and at the end when he drove him to the college, it was a sign of beginning of new life and leaving all pain and sorrow behind..

I was crying from the moment Justin fell on the floor and I understood that he is the one who died till the end of the show, hour and 40 minutes without stopping. Justin was my favorite and it was distressing. It's was so hard to watch him die slowly. When I think about it I wanna cry again. I really don’t understand why they had to kill him at the end.
they missed an opportunity not showing jeff in the end like hannah, and not playing 'the night we met' either at prom or at the very end. strong finish for the show nonetheless, and despite all criticisms it was a really good show for the most part. oh and i didnt like that the group end shot (when they all look over the town) had the older cast members who werent relevant anymore (for last two seasons min.), i wouldve liked maybe sherri to make an appearance from jail though during the post-graduation scene in the gyum where everyone is mingling, she genuinely was nice like jeff, despite her mistakes.

I wish that they would have shown Zach with Justin when he saw him in the hospital because they made it such a point that Zach needed to see him and be there but then they never showed their scene and it made it seem like it really wasn’t as important as they were making it.

this show is extremely triggering for so many people. I understand that they do include trigger warnings and warn viewers of the graphic scenes they depict. However, was this show not created to spread awareness for suicide prevention and to help people who suffer from the issues this show depicts to find comfort and closure? If the show is too triggering for its target audience to watch, then what is the show achieving by continuing its run? I thought the show was great in season 1 and i think it should have stopped after season 1. The mop scene in season 2, to this day, is impossible for me to watch without having a panic attack. There was no reason for them to include a scene that violent and brutal. Degrassi for instance, is another show, that targets a teenage audience and deals with these same issues, if not more. I believe degrassi does a better job of achieving the goal that this show set out to achieve because it is able to spread awareness for these issues without being unnecessarily graphic and triggering. There were multiple rape story lines, a suicide storyline, drug abuse storylines, - school shooting storyline, PTSD storylines depicted in degrassi, but the difference between that show and this is how it was portrayed. That is why I hate 13 Reasons Why.

I'm so sad that this is the end of this series. To tell the truth, it's as if I had lived with her and the characters. we like to evolve together. I got so attached to them. this series even managed, in season 3, to become attached to Bryce Walker. This series is so well done and so realistic, I am so sad that it ends as its but it had to end one day. I think I'm going to be in a bad mood for a few days and I also think I'll do it again very sincerely. but hey for me it’s really one of the best series that I could see if not the best. She's just amazing. 💕

I’ve learnt a lot from my experiences, a damn lot, I swore to myself I would never ever let anyone be alone, I would be there if they need, this show means a lot to me because it helps people realise these struggles, it opens peoples eyes, and it’s damn heart breaking that it’s so real, it’s not far from what we live in today, dealing with racism, suicide, mental health anxiety and depression, rape terror attacks, deportation and so much more than you ever thought you could in this show, I was getting depressed watching the season at the start, I could feel cal depression and anxiety, I was with him through it, every one here went through that journey with him, it’s a story, but also a lifeline, it shows you are never, ever alone, there is always someone there for you no matter what, everyone is there for each other when the time comes, people can change too, it shows that you should not be ashamed of who you are and your experiences, they define you, whether it’s in a good or a bad way is your choice, don’t ever think you’re alone, you’re not. This is why I love 13rw, because it's about portraying mental illnesses and the show is personally very meaningful to me. If 13 reasons why was only about one person's suffering I wouldn't be so keen on watching it because it feels more lonely that way. The group always tends to argue cause of their personal struggle but at the end of the seasons the episodes are so wholesome they always have each other's backs. And although most people think of it as a dark and depressing show it actually portrays people's lives with mental illnesses with a lot of hope and love to me.
I gonna miss the characters, my heart broke when Justin died:( but I really like this season💜 a lot of crying.....

I'm kinda sad that this is how they decided to end the show , Justin deserved so much more , his character arc was the best tbh . i feel like I am the only one who actually HATED the last seasons; I don’t just think it’s bad I actually hate it.
everything was just so rushed and the issues were just covered superficially. here’s an overview of the topics addressed in the final season: anxiety, depression, police brutality, protests, surveillance, racism, alcoholism, drug abuse, STDs, coming out, personality disorder, gun control.
All these problems are very modern and I believe all of them deserve to be mentioned and explained further but not like it was done in the final season. Even though topics like the drug abuse (Justin) or the gun situation in America were addressed pretty detailed there were also things that were barely mentioned.
One example is Justin‘s death in the end because he had aids. Of course AIDS can happen to everyone and it’s super important to talk about protection during sex BUT the show barely talked about it. All they did was to say that you should use protection (again: important stuff, I know) but that’s it.
Another aspect was Zach‘s character. He struggled with an alcohol and drug problem in the last season and was portrayed as a destructive guy which didn’t do him any justice because all of the development he had in the first three seasons went down the drain. And WHAT WAS THE POINT of that one scene with the hooker where the writers presented him as a rapist (or an attempted one) - Same goes for clay when he watched that girl on the bed sleep and got „hard“. And also his split personality or personality disorder ? Why would you include that in the story if you won’t explain it further. I feel like this was just included for a dramatical plot twist.
Why would you present two characters as possible rapists or abusers if you’re not going to mention it every again later on. Clay‘s actions were only mentioned in therapy one more time and that’s it. What zach did wasn’t even mentioned afterwards. So again: what was the point of including these scenes? it seemed to be like the writers just wanted to add some random drama and shock moment for the fans and that’s it.
So many things were incomplete. Like why was Zach in that condition? Why didn’t the writers talk more about HIS state of mind and how he got over the drinking problem (bc alcoholism is a serious problem and you can’t get over it over night)? What happened to the racist cop who only arrested the domenican guy? And you’re telling me that Tyler was suddenly okay with dating the sister of the guy that abused him physically and mentally? Why didn’t he get more screentime? Anis Mom (hello?anyone??)???
In Addition to that: I get that Shows don’t always have happy endings and that life can be shit but I would have loved it if they let Justin stay alive. He suffered so much and was never truly happy and to just kill him off out of no where sends a really bad message. ,,Sometimes no matter how much you try you will never be happy because life is shit.“ The Show caused some heated arguments and discussions because of its controversy but srsly why couldn’t they just end the show with a tiny bit of optimism?
and don’t get me started on the fact that they covered up a murder and got away with it. I get it, they’re friends and stuff but all of them were mentally not stable because of the murder and suddenly they all got over it without confession? Sure ma‘am.
I really liked Clay‘s speech in the end though and I love the show in generel because it actually addresses important topics and doesn’t sugarcoat it but I would have loved it more if they mentioned less controversial topics but rather focused on evaluating those few mentioned a bit more.

Sorry but they did cover a majority of those topics throughout the entire show.Anxiety has been shown through Clay since season 1, depression with Hannah and Alex season 1, season 2 with Clay and season 4 with Clay and i think a few others. Police brutality in seasons 3 and 4 but some mentions of it in the other seasons. Protests in seasons 3 and 4 through Jessica's club, surveillance in season 4 but hints of it in the other seasons when the parents want the kids to be open with them. Racism in all four but its very subtle in the early seasons. Alcohol and drug abuse in all four. STD's were referenced throughout but didn't make an appearance until the final season and coming out in all four seasons. Personality disorder is a very broad term so I don't quite understand what you mean by that and then gun control in the last 3 seasons. Each topic was touched on, but sorry if not the way you like or would have preferred.

The fact that Clay lost anyone he ever truly loved has me thinking that maybe loving is a losing game and it makes me feel scares to love for some reason. We live in a cruel world in which everyone is facing their own challenge. Even on the worst day there are people who love you. Life is a pretty spectacular thing
People come in your life for a reason life is short literally so God wants us to live like it's your last it's not how you die but live and take what you've learned and turn it into wisdom you learn u love u grow and when you're gone and go to the other side hope you made a difference an impact Maya Angelus once said people will never forget how u make them feel sometimes life is like working out at times it hurts but as you go you get stronger just have to endure the pain ups and downs of life joy comes in the morning

Justin was not just one of the main characters, he also played his role well done as a role model to all of us. I in-between these episodes and during the final season got much more aware of how important our own process in life is and how we can throughout truly live with all what is bothering us. We are allowed to cry, we are allowed to scream the pain out of our lungs in case and hope that someday, someone will hear us. It is not always easy, no one ever has to expect us to be okay. It is okay not to be okay. We all find ourselves in moments where we keep fighting for the good in us and sometimes people will get rid of them. The will to do things is stronger than to give up, deep down we all know that.
13R is an emotional and throughout inspirational series full of love, pain and overall friendship and people who are living. Society is teaching us some sort of being a perfect character in this somehow broken world we live in. I could imagine even more than 13 Reasons why we are never achieving this massive process of becoming perfect. Life is painful, unexpectedly and even more half alive broken. I figured out during the series, that I am in need to talk. That I can not always be the perfect listener and the role model to anyone. Just as Clay Jensen, I am willing to help, to be there when my friends are the ones who need the help. Friends are the people in life who are holding on to you in every possible way. While watching the process of Justin as it all turned into some sort of horrifying ending, I felt inner freezing as if I am losing a friend I don't knew I have. Justin is my role model in every case I could imagine one and he teaches me to do better and to always see hope.
As Clay Jensen told us during his final speech in the last episode. We all need to keep fighting. It may not always be easy and sometimes we will feel like we can not move on, but even in the baddest times, life can and will be spectacular. Remember this.

my favorite character was justin and when he died i f*cking lost it. i literally had a meltdown in my bed... his character had been through soo much and just when he was getting his life together and getting into college it was all ripped away. the jensens gave him the life he deserved, they helped him and made him believe in love. man you never know how a character can change your life and how you can really love and miss them until they die and you cry for hourss. justin foley is and always will be loved..
