I know right 💔 I'm just convincing myself that it didn't mean anything because it wasn't actually Clay saying it 😔 But the fact that he doesn't remember saying it, but Justin does, is so heartbreaking.
“They had a bond stronger than blood” 😭😭 Had to fight his whole life to only die in the end. Thought he didnt matter but didnt realised the impact he had to those around him.
They literally went from,' do you even know my name' to, ' he's my brother, he's my positive influence and he's the reason why I'm still alive'.😭 Justin deserved better 😭💔
Yeah justin deserves better but it’s not always the stereotypical Hollywood happy ending. Both the actors playing clay and Justin wanted this to happen and “begged” the writers to include it :/
I don’t disagree with the outcome of the show, but the way they get to that outcome is flawed. The infection takes average 10 years to develop to its infamous stage (if left untreated) which then take another year or two to lead to that ending. This is known among medical professionals. What they should have done though to achieve the maximum emotional impact is that they should let JL sacrifice himself to save his brother, which then results in his tragic ending instead of the infection. This would achieve the same if not more profound emotional impact on his brother and everyone who watches the show and also JL sacrifice would have a much better sense.
I mean like the show was first introduced with Hannah’s death right? And was later more explained in the series, so I didn’t really have that much of an “emotional thingy” with Hannah
Clay & Justin’s relationship was the best part of the show. The bond they built was so beautiful especially considering where it started. They’ll always be my favourite brothers on a show.
First Clay lost Jeff, then Hannah, then he lost himself and then he lost his brother, Justin. He lost everyone important to him and everyone he loved. I feel so bad for him
I agree but also look at Justin. He lost his innocence, lost his best friend, lost the love of his life, lost his mother then lost his life. Both tragedies! So sad...
It's even more tragic when you realize how Clay saved everyone, but few were ever there to save him. Justin may have died, but because of Clay his life was extended a bit, and he knew brief happiness before the end. Also he still has Tony
Jesus, imagine how hard it is for Clay. You meet a guy who doesn't like and you don't like him as well. Then you become brothers. It's the strongest relationship that human beings can have. You always fight for eachother. You always trust one another. Sometimes you argue but it makes the relationship stronger. Then your brother dies. You can't do anything about that. You know that he is not suffering anymore but you don't know how to survive without your soulmate. Damn, this is the best bromance I have ever seen in my life but also the saddest one.
I agree because every time I watch this video I cry literally every time I cry if I want to cry I watch this video The sad ending I don't know why they let Justin to die 😭💔💔
I agree. Hannah’s was sad but Justin’s was heartbreaking because we watched him grow and become a better person only for his past to come back kill him.
I thought I was done crying but here we go again , why did they have to do it , amongts all characters Justin deserved a good ending ...this is an amazing video
in a way..didnt he get his good ending, he knew what was going on, there were signs to it and he got free from all the pain and suffering. idk i could just be depressed as heck but
Amber Downey agreed. he's the only one that left their world knowing he did his best, knowig how he will die, knowing that people loved him, knowing that he had a purpose, and knowing that people will always remember him, in a positive light That's the better ending that Hannah, Bryce, Monty, and others would have loved to have.
No. Tony's death was sadder cuz he was like a father to Peter.im sorry but Tony's death is the one that I cried the most and after endgame I can't even cry nomore
I'll never forgive the writers of the show for killing him off. Not only did he finally get the family he always wanted, he was going to college. He was sober, he got his life back on track. Then he dies... Let's not forget to mention Clay.. Clay lost Hannah, lost Jeffrey, AND now Justin?? No. Out of EVERYONE in the show, they were the ones that were supposed to finally get their happy ending, together. I still don't believe it, I'm rewatching this show just to cope.
That's life along with happy endings come the sufferings and damages to make people understand the meaning of happiness at times. What is happiness is something everyone asked themselves almost everyday and yet at times we find the answers and at times we don't and most often it leads to bad decisions or choices we make as human beings.
This is one of the best videos I've seen. The importance of male friendships are often downplayed, but it is most definitely important and plenty of articles explaining why. Everyone deserves to have a good friendship. And watching Clay and Justin's friendship form in 13 Reasons Why was one of the best parts. Thank you for sharing!
It's actually my favorite relationship in this entire show. Their bond as friend and mostly brothers is the strongest out of all the relationships I've seen here. They never should've killed Justin. Though the acting from both Dylan and Brandon was Emmy worthy it was just a death for shock value...

He literally saved Clay’s life when nobody else would. Even Tony could never reach that potential. Their brotherhood would’ve made the world around them so much brighter. Justin fixed clays flaws, and in turn, clay fixed Justin’s. They needed each other and it’s horrible the way it was broken.
I know it's sad, but for me it made the story feel more real. these kids have been getting away with so much, real life isn't a fairytale and it does help all the other characters appreciate life more.
Actually apparently the actors that played clay and Justin thought it was important that they killed off Justin in the end I don't know why but he thought it was important

I believe he deserved better than this, he didn't deserve to die. His laugh and smile was so amazing. Clay and Justin had a beautiful brotherly bond, even though they weren't blood, they were always there for one another. They were that epic bond, that no matter what they can never be torn apart. To Justin fucken Foley, even though you were just a character you deserved better and you shall rest ❤️
This show was more than what we could’ve asked for, especially that one line “I was once clay’s secret” got to me. Him dying wasn’t necessary but definitely one of the best heartfelt moments. He had a character development but no one talks about the character development in Clay’s character and how Justin brought out the best and worst in him at times
we're in 2024 and this video always make cry a river, truly best edit i've seen good job. The relationship they both had was the best thing of this show, Justin's character dev is truly amazing. Just bcz of this video I'll start rewatching the show, thanks
The scene where Clay read Justin's college application, made me cry. Clay finally had become the positive influence he wanted to be, even if it wasn't to hannah, and he was glad. And It really shouldn't have ended the way it did, he should have lived, he deserved better.
He was the positive influence for hannah though. She even had him written down twice as "reasons not to", it just wasn't enough especially after what Bryce did
When Clay said his parents weren’t Justin’s at the party that broken me but the fact Justin wasn’t fully adopted broken me even more. All he ever wanted was a family. And the fact that he started believing in himself again and believing that there is a better life for him in the future only to die... smh he deserved better. And as soon as I heard him talk in the video.. a river of tears came after
@@nadyayasmindicky6127 I think he was, they kind of never brought it up in season 3 and I feel like it was meant to have just gone smoothly off screen. If it had been delayed/there was an issue that would have been part of the story.
@@natigilbert8326 I am still confused how this happened how they became brother from enemies what happened just because I am still at 1 season and I am slow
the campfire scene when their mom asks them to think about who they trust the most and justin immediately looks over to Clay is such an underrated moment🥺😢
Coming from someone who brings themselves down all the time, I hate how Justin beats himself up. Dude, man, you are such an amazing person. You tried so hard to remove drugs from your character u at least gotta give urself credit. What matters most is that you are getting better than you were the day before. Embrace the fact that people love you 🥺 As for clay, man, you know what it’s like to have people love you, to have a family. I know he was like drunk and emotional and all when he said that Matt and lainie weren’t his real parents but that was a low blow
I hate the fact that everyone around Justin made it super hard for him..., when he only wanted to do better ❤AND thats how shit is in real life you will always be judged by your past
honestly, all the horrors, serial killer documentaries and tv shows ive watched.....this was the only show that made to cry almost every episode and justin's story was the only story that could make me cry just by thinking about him.
The relationship Clay & Justin developed was so strong and it was awesome to see how it developed. When Justin died. It tore me apart and i spent the whole night crying.
wow this is the most perfect tribute to their relationship i’ve ever seen! you found the best parallels. i want to spend my day watching this on repeat and crying.
4:58 I didn’t notice them looking each other in this campfire scene. It’s so heartbreaking to see this after the last episode😭😭 I understand that this opinion is sooo typical but gosh, Justin was such a nice guy, he definitely didn’t deserve to die
I was actually sobbing when Justin died. I’m still traumatized. Like Justin had a future!! He didn’t deserve to die!!😖😖😖😖 he was Clays brother, his best friend. They went through so much shit together and then they killed him off the show!!😖😖😖💔💔💔
the secene in season two were clay and hannahs song (the night we met) came on and all his friends stopped what they were doing and came and hugged him :(
And clay was the real victim of the series again. Just like he was with Hannah. He was probaply the closest person to both Hannah and Justin. He needs to live with the consequences.
the way I’ll never get over how the s3 finale ended with clay, justin and jess at monet’s and the series finale ended with clay and jess at justin’s funeral 😭

the shift from christmas to the hospital hit different
This show was more than what we could’ve asked for, especially that one line “I was once clay’s secret” got to me. Him dying wasn’t necessary but definitely one of the best heartfelt moments. He had a character development but no one talks about the character development in Clay’s character and how Justin brought out the best and worst in him at times
It went from " do you even know my name" to " he's my brother my positive influence" I love clay and Justin ♥️
“Will you hold my hand, bro?” That line always makes me cry.
we're in 2024 and this video always make cry a river, truly best edit i've seen good job.
And as soon as I heard him talk in the video.. a river of tears came after
Wait he wasn't fully adopted?? Why??
@@nadyayasmindicky6127 I think he was, they kind of never brought it up in season 3 and I feel like it was meant to have just gone smoothly off screen. If it had been delayed/there was an issue that would have been part of the story.
:"(
I wasn’t ready to see Justin again. I loved him and I ll always. Forever.
The end where clay looks at Justin's bed really hit me 😔💞. RIP Justin Foley 💔
What are you thankful for
Justin: I am thankful to have a family
Me: I am thankful to see this video 😭😭😭
Sanath B.s Aww thanks 🥺
Lol
@@natigilbert8326 I am still confused how this happened how they became brother from enemies what happened just because I am still at 1 season and I am slow
the campfire scene when their mom asks them to think about who they trust the most and justin immediately looks over to Clay is such an underrated moment🥺😢
**SPOILER ALERT** The two deaths that hurted me the most were Justin's and Newt's from maze runner
Man I didn’t see death cure but when I heard newts letter I teared up
I sobbed with both 😭
Newt T_T
Hello fellow maze runner fan!! Ik bro Newt's death broke me!! He deserved better...I died the day Newt died😭😭😭
@@siyavaz8776 YES EXACTLY
Coming from someone who brings themselves down all the time, I hate how Justin beats himself up. Dude, man, you are such an amazing person. You tried so hard to remove drugs from your character u at least gotta give urself credit. What matters most is that you are getting better than you were the day before. Embrace the fact that people love you 🥺
As for clay, man, you know what it’s like to have people love you, to have a family. I know he was like drunk and emotional and all when he said that Matt and lainie weren’t his real parents but that was a low blow
He didn't deserve the ending he had, he had a whole development and a whole improvement... It's been years, and I'm still crying with a little baby...
best character development in the show.
I hate the fact that everyone around Justin made it super hard for him..., when he only wanted to do better ❤AND thats how shit is in real life you will always be judged by your past
Justin’s letter to Clay broke me emotionally 🥺 losing a Bro that had your back since we first met hurts a lot 😢
honestly, all the horrors, serial killer documentaries and tv shows ive watched.....this was the only show that made to cry almost every episode and justin's story was the only story that could make me cry just by thinking about him.
"I write fanfiction. You have to kill a character sometimes."
hmm.
I bet it was a hint that one character would die at the end
Ofc it was the best character 😖
The relationship Clay & Justin developed was so strong and it was awesome to see how it developed. When Justin died. It tore me apart and i spent the whole night crying.
"I love you guys" what a funny but sad moment
Justin’s death is one i will never forget. I’m always gonna get sad just thinking about it.
The relationship development between these two was the best part of the series
I like the way they ended with Clay and Justin than Justin and Jessica.
wow this is the most perfect tribute to their relationship i’ve ever seen! you found the best parallels. i want to spend my day watching this on repeat and crying.
Thank you so much, it means a lot!❤️
i still can’t stop crying for justin.
justin and clay’s love for each other was the best thing ever happened in 13 reasons why. 🥺😭❤️
didn’t think i’d be crying but wow this got me
Thanks!💕
4:58 I didn’t notice them looking each other in this campfire scene. It’s so heartbreaking to see this after the last episode😭😭 I understand that this opinion is sooo typical but gosh, Justin was such a nice guy, he definitely didn’t deserve to die
It all started with: Hey Justin, where's my bike? He stole my bike.
And ended with: Will you hold my hand bro?
What a masterpiece show
I was actually sobbing when Justin died. I’m still traumatized. Like Justin had a future!! He didn’t deserve to die!!😖😖😖😖 he was Clays brother, his best friend. They went through so much shit together and then they killed him off the show!!😖😖😖💔💔💔
They became so close over the years this hit the hardest 😔🤧
Their relationship was the best part of the show for me.
I just finished 13 reasons why and the only part that made me cry was when Justin was dying. 😭
Even the rape in toilet?!
@@isabella.pl_00 I feel so bad for Tyler and justin
Yes, and the part where Hannah took her life. Both scenes had me tear up😭😭
the secene in season two were clay and hannahs song (the night we met) came on and all his friends stopped what they were doing and came and hugged him :(
And clay was the real victim of the series again. Just like he was with Hannah. He was probaply the closest person to both Hannah and Justin. He needs to live with the consequences.
To this day, I still think about Justin. He and Clay's bond will forever be special.
the way I’ll never get over how the s3 finale ended with clay, justin and jess at monet’s and the series finale ended with clay and jess at justin’s funeral 😭
Should’ve ended at season 3 tbh
Don't kill everyone let someone live.
Cause he's my brother.❤
I'm literally crying... I'm not joking.
Same, and I haven't even watched the show.. this is so freaking painful to watch nonetheless TT
Me too
i know im sobbing right now justin had such a massive charactar development he was one of the best
Justin literally had the best character development and story arc, it’s really the hardest tv/ movie death that I have ever come across
A friendship like this is something that i really wanted😭
I’ve never watched this show but man what a moving video. Makes me want to watch it now just to see their relationship.
Thank you!!
samme I did start watching the very first episode but stopped halfway. I dont remember why though. Now I wanna see those too but its so sad :""""
This happens to me sometimes
