Thanks for your videos on the Flightdeck! I have a week to go before the 30 day return period is up, and I'm about 50/50 on whether I'll keep it or not. It has such great potential, and the quality of the hardware is fantastic. My only issue is the general lack of software support from TB on it to date. It's as if they threw this product out to the public and said "here ya go, get it to work yourself" I know that other products require individual configurating, but at least the basic flight control and throttles work on them out of the box. Having to do a trial and error mapping of those for MSFS is unsat in my book. I keep working with mine and honestly would like to keep it, but I'm just no so sure...
You have to go with your heart on this. I prefer to set up controls from scratch, so it suits me; but I do get your points about lack of current support.
I received one of these to review Turtle Beach has confirmed they are working on a fix to make it plug and play for several games without the need for mapping. I know it's coming as I'm told not to review until the fix rolls out. So, I know that 30 day is coming up, but a fix is coming. Hope that helps your decision
Great tutorial however I did not adopt your use of the flap lever on the throttle as zoom function as there was zoom drift even when the control was steady. So I went back to using the toggle switch for zoom and re initialized the throttle flaps lever for flaps. Also as I had already configured most items on the deck I decided to program all the buttons in your tutorial using the LCD screens instead so I could test before I adopt the controls as per you information. I love the idea of the LCD for testing different combinations of functions before rearranging the physical controls - thank you.
You have no idea how happy it makes me that you’re using the flap lever for a camera zoom for some reason. You can even see the little picture next to it that’s clearly flaps
You should also, in Camera, set commands for the Drone Camera: no risk of clashes or having more than 1 thing assigned to the same stick items, as Drone Camera is another MODE.
Thank you for your video Huddison, much appreciated. If only MSFS responds to my axis inputs like it does yours! I have the problem where setting throttle, pitch etc shows up as buttons :(
Thanks for this video, it’s been a huge help. Out of curiosity, do you have updated sensitive of the stick for the deck? I find it to be a little too touchy.
I had the Flightstick which had a very stiff spring. Your video for that was perfection with your sensitivity settings. Would it be safe to use the same?
Nice video as usual I noticed you setting radion frequencies on rear of throttle levers would you still need this if you’ve got the Logitech radio panel?
I see your settings for Throttle Axis, but when I attempt to map the Throttle to a Throttle Axis 1 or 2, MSFS responds with a Joystick Button 35 with Warning (selected button input not recommended for this action) same happens with Throttle Axis 2,,,,,,,am I missing something??????
@@Test-Pilot1194 You will need to select the correct axis in the drop down menu in the control settings versus using moving moving throttle during bindings
@@Test-Pilot1194 do you have the throttle programed on another device and are confusing the SIM, I had that problem while setting up the flaps lever. As soon as I removed other instances all came good.
Thank you for the video. Any suggestions on how to bind something to prop condition levers? I had a working axis for them on my X-52 Pro but FS 2020 won't let me bind prop condition in the Flight Deck.
Thank you for your videos. Trying had not to Dilly Dally 🙂 Single prop works great, but dual prop - the right engine will not power up. So what am I doing wrong?
This thing kind of makes me regret upgrading from my thrustmaster t16000 to the vkb gladiator last year... Still adding things to it and paying a fortune in taxes when it arrives 😢
On the touch panel, I can bind a toggle swith to 'battery on ' which will work but when switching the switch to off, nothing happens because there is no keyboard command going to the sim or am I missing something ? This way it's a push button, not a toggle switch isn't it ?
@@HuddisonMmmm....all the buttons send a letter to msfs on mine. It just doesn't make sense to me that a 2-state switch (on/off) only sends a character when switchs on and nothing when switchs off.
I’ve bought one which I need to get replaced. One of the issues is that if I map the hdg dial (button 29/30) to heading bug increase/decrease, it will work with one click but I don’t get more than one degree at a time even if I spin it 5+ clicks in one go. Have you found the same, is that why you mapped that to different buttons?
I wanted to ask, when i land i cannot move my plane at all on the ground so i go straight into the grass instead of steering to stay on… what setting would this be under
@@Huddison thankyou for your help, all sorted! Just struggling to get the airbus to follow my simbrief plan in the mcdu instead of flying endlessly in a straight line after takeoff now haha!
Thank you so much for this video ! Just received my flight deck and this gave me a good headstart. So far, I'm loving it !
Many thanks for feeding back; it lets me know the general direction of my content :)

Out of curiosity is there a msfs2020 profile now?
This was brilliant. Thanks very much. Very helpful to initially set up my stick.

Sounds great - thank you too.
Looks like it's working well for you. Looking forward to setting mine up today!
Let us know how you get on.
Hi James just got this flight deck it now comes with presets but i changed some of them to your settings as made more sense keep up the good work
That's great news for you. I saw that default profiles have now been added for it and may still make a video on them.
Nice flight deck.
Congrats to the winner of the competition.
Thanks my friend - I hope you're well.
You have helped me out tremendously! Thank you for what you do. That had to take some time to work out lol
Not too long actually: I enjoy this kind of thing ;)

You're very welcome!
Thank you for your video Huddison, much appreciated. If only MSFS responds to my axis inputs like it does yours! I have the problem where setting throttle, pitch etc shows up as buttons :(
The flightdeck responds kind of strange in that respect; you might be best Searching by Input to assign Axis.
Thanks for this video, it’s been a huge help. Out of curiosity, do you have updated sensitive of the stick for the deck? I find it to be a little too touchy.
Sensitivities are always adjusted to taste/preference - I haven't felt a need to adjust them too much with this setup.

NO, it's for those who don't have (or want) the Radio Panel connected.

Chose 'Select an Input' for assigning your Throttle on the Flightdeck.
Thank you that worked perfectly
Not worked for me. I can’t get it as an axis at all😢

A pre config profile for MSFS will be available next update for the V1 flight deck.
Yes, I've heard that too.
Is it possible to make a movie about the settings for flying a heli with the velocityone flight deck?
I have videos up for similar controllers; but maybe one day ;)

Nothing comes to mind immediately for prop condition bindings, but I bet our Discord will be able to help (linked in the description).
Thank You Mr. Huddison.

Touch Screen functionality doesn't seem to work properly with MSFS currently; one or two bindings might work, but in general most don't seem to.

The dials work well for some autopilot functions, but not others. You might be best binding the heading bug to a rocker/intermittent switch.
I want to buy this HOTAS, is it reliable, what is the quality of the switches and buttons? What is the lever and accelerator like?
It's all held up fine for me; good choice for the price range.
The feel of the Throttle is the best I've tried on a hotas (so far).
I wanted to ask, when i land i cannot move my plane at all on the ground so i go straight into the grass instead of steering to stay on… what setting would this be under
Sounds like you need 'Rudder' controls setup.
Meanwhile there has been a Firmware update. Are you going to make a new video (i do hope so) ?
I am aiming to.
GREAT VIDEO!!!
Thanks!!
Isn't there a way of sharing a binding file?
Not 100% certain on that with MSFS; but I'll aim to get these bindings on my discord server.
Did you have the problem where re joystick device keeps vibrating as soon as it’s plugged in and won’t update the firmware, the app just freezes?
Not come across that issue; please contact TB directly to see if they can help.
@navjotnijran1166 - yes I did. TB support supplied me with a procedure to reset and it has been working fine ever since.
What is the spring tension like compared to their V1FS?
Not as stiff as the V1 FS.
any idea when i put rudder axis in, flight sim says "warning selected input not recommended" then i cant click anything it locks me out?
You might be best selecting it from inputs, when trying to bind it.
