actually the wayans had the series stolen from them, they had no idea the others were being made with out them and they didnt get the royality on the title so they were very upset about it.
Fun fact: Scary Movie was released in the Philippines on the 4th quarter of 2000. The distributor deliberately released it supposedly to attract the so-called Halloween audience.
Hello from Poland!
I hope spoof movies will return.
Cheers and thanks for yet another great recap.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!
Good morning!
@@andrerobinson4862 You too
They didn't bow out. The series was stolen from under them (The Wayans). Marlon talked about it in detail a few times.
I'm surprised you glossed over the fact that the "river dance joke" is actually a Beetlejuice reference.
They "bowed out" because Weinstein pushed them out. He also robbed them of a lot of residuals. Marlon stated that in an interview.
Ms. Mann wasn't a spoof it was a prophecy 😂😂
Awesome video Minty but the only thing you got wrong is the Wayne's brothers stepped down because the studio company wanted All creative control and they didn't want to give it to them. And because the studio owned most of the rights, they did what they wanted and pushed the wanes out.. 17:53
Your video was interrupted by an ad that played, at least, FIVE MINUTES before I finally remembered that I was listening to YOU, and stopped the ad.
I wish TH-cam had less ads than old television
I remember seeing a ‘work print’ copy before it was released they cut some hilarious stuff out.
@6:57 - That's more of a callback to the ending of Beetlejuice than Riverdance.
My understanding from interviews with the Waynes is that the studio cut them out of the franchise after 2.
The only problem is that there's no good movies to spoof. There hasn't been a truly good movie in years
You can spoof how bad those movies are, I guess. Just imagine the characters jumping the origin of the superhero because is boring, for example.
BS. You're just old
What he forgot to mention is they didn't leave the Scary Movie franchise it got took away from them
I do believe there was another spoof movie called "scream if you know what I did last friday the 13th". so that original title did somewhat get used.
1:45 yo minty, you having the song “Scary Movies” by Bad Meets Evil (Eminem & Royce da 5’9) made my day….
3:40 - This marathon title was inspired by the fellow Wayans bros written urban drama parody movie "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood"
That what's up thing got so popular that it even made its way into wrestling
Tag team wrestling duo The Dudley Boyz use the wassup as a signature diving head bump move
I just watched this movie the other night, haven’t seen it forever. It still holds up
I remember seeing this in the theater and at a certain scene I noticed a man get up with his daughter and walked out and didn't come back, guess it was too much to take
