- The Indiana Pacers offseason has begun after losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals... so what happens now? Are Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam enough or do they need to add more pieces?

@@Shantiomari if they didn’t keep choking in the last minute they could’ve gone to the finals imo
You really think they had any shot at winning a 7 game series?
bro was ready 😭
I think Tyrese really can be that all nba guard. I think this season was a whirlwind for him with all the buzz, the IST, the hamstring injury, losing Buddy, coming back to learn to play with Pascal, navigating his first playoff run, all at 24 y/o. He’s going to grow in skill and confidence after this experience and I think the sky is the limit for him.
Technically he’s already an All NBA guard. But yeah, he will be or sure. He had a couple down months and suddenly everyone has turned on him.
He needs to toughen up mentally and even physically. If Indiana wants to make the ECF again in the near future, they can't have their star player going missing 3 or 4 times in 7 game series.
Nembhard showed him the mentality needed at that level. The kid came in and blitzed in those 2 games. He was aggressive and confident.
@@StuTheDon17i agree 100%
The Pacers have a lot of young depth. They also have a real offensive identity. I think their model is 100% sustainable.
You think they can win a title with Nambhard?
@@blablablaa14He played pretty good and isn’t done getting better
As a Pacers fan, we might of lost this series. But even most Pacers fan didn't think we'd get this far. Personally I'm happy with how this season panned out and it's very obvious that the future is VERY bright for us.
you’re future is trash y’all are up for a rude awakening the teams you beat were missing all star callabler players and when y’all played the cs who were not even healthy yall got swept

They will continue to be exciting but you all ain't winning anything anytime soon. Not hating it's just facts
The Pacers should keep their heads up high. They fought hard and they have a great season, but it was not enough. Rick Carlisle has done a great job building this team. I know the injuries are tough, but they’ll continue to get better next season.
What are you talking every other team had more injuries than the Pacers. Cavs/Knicks Bucks every one of those teams had more players out than Pacers.Pacers arent injured only players you missing is benedict and haliburton.

Jarace Walker... the 8th overall pick last year... played himself into the rotation late in the season , gives the pacers even more flexibility
Yup. THE player that most of the fans from other teams have forgotten. I expect Obi to be resigned for something between 12-15mln a year with a 3 year contract and IF Jarace keeps improving during next season I very much could see Indy trading Obi near the wintertrade deadline and give Jarace a lot more minutes in the rotation. The Pacers have a lot of players who are still young and still have a lot of developing to do and are not anywere near their prime.
Andrew Nembhard
Isaiah Jackson
Bennedict Mathurin
Jarace Walker
Ben Sheppard
Jalen Smith
Hell you can easily lump in Haliburton, Nesmith and Obi in there aswell.
This is a deep team which is excellent at playing fast and their defence, though not adequate yet, has been improving throughout the season and with the players developing and getting more experience You can expect their defence to be getting better.
Both Mathurin and Walker can be trade pieces for someone like Lauri Markkannen who’s in a team friendly contract and still young enough to continue running it back for the next few seasons. Neismith would then move to the 2 and it would be a very versatile line up in Haliburton Neismith Markannen Siakam Turner

No it's not Milwaukee will be healthy. Along with Philly and Miami
@@theetruth8626 all of those teams are old and have question marks going into next year. The pacers proved they can beat all of those teams all year long especially Milwaukee. They are still very young and didn’t even have one of their best players in Mathurin.

Yup. Against the best team in the league with an abundance of saviness and experience...THE thing this Pacers team lacked. This was a growing year. Loads of untapped potential to exploit for Indy and this experience will make them better next season.
I think that Jarace Walker is the “ bridge” between Suskam and Halibthat you mentioning
u got ball knowledge
Agreed. He's not there yet though. I wouldn't be surprised if Indy resigns Obi for 12-15mln/3 years, which is a reasonable and very tradeable contract IMHO, and then IF Jarace develops as hoped trades Obi at the winter tradedeadline or next summer to free up minutes for Jarace.
Yo, Tucker, I love your content. You should talk about teams that were forgotten this season, Hornets, Nets, Raptors, Blazers

One does not simply fire a coach after a ECF run
@@jonathand.t.5051 I don’t know meng. They went through oft injured Bucks and Knicks squads.
Yeah right, fire the best coach since Larry Bird! I hope Rick stays for years to come. He is awesome ! I love Rick, so glad he came back! Honestly the only reason pacers lost in ECF is because it's the Boston Celtics. Their sports market is at least 50 times bigger than pacers which translates to way more money generated than pacers could generate on their best day. At the end of the day, the NBA rigs every game just like WWE wrestling. It's all about who makes the most money. They rig it so bad, they know exactly every players stats for games they haven't even played. Its entertaining but wish they would just let best team win instead of refs helping teams win. Sports betting is even more rigged. Don't even mess with those parlays! 99% of parlays lose! Their designed that way! But yeah Celtics already won finals, it's just a matter of time. Boston has way bigger sports market than even Dallas! So therefore they will let Boston win. Their not going to pass up on hundreds of millions of more dollars by letting Dallas win. They don't make billions on accident! They know exactly what their doing!
Everyone’s future just started
idk maybe im too close to the elephant on this one being a pacers fan, but im more worried about repeating the Danny Granger nightmare. Statistically, it made sense to trade him, but he was apparently 70% of what held that locker room together from player interviews.
This is a legendary upload bruh . Literally the game just ended . You must have been editing while watching or something 😂
For real. 100% he recorded this after Game 3 and had it on the burner for when the series ended.
Mathurin should not be traded under any circumstance.
Def not for Bogdanovic as he mentioned ...
As a pacer fan, this is who I think is on the trading block in order of greatest to least: Jarace Walker, Jalen Smith, Aaron Nesmith, and Isaiah Jackson.
Future is bright for them as long as they have Hali as their guy.
Obviously they are going to resign Sikam to a huge deal.
The issue is they need to play a little defense obviously they are going to stick to their run and gun free flowing offense. But they might have to get maybe a two way star to help them improve their defense.
Problem is there not that many guys out there. The one that ironically makes sense is Paul George 😅 but again it’s hard to see him leaving LA but it’s cool to think about.
OG would be interesting but he not exactly a number two and I doubt the Knicks are letting him walk unless he gets a super huge bag.
The most likely secnario they better hope Mathurin can take a huge leap and eventually be that second guy next to Hali and hopefully he can be a great defender
Great video man
Siakam can be the #2 guy, as long as he doesn’t regress by the time that Indy are actually good enough
They have no cap space for the guys you mentioned
@@blablablaa14 Yeah I typed my comment before he said that. Looks like they are going to run it back but they could make some trades to improve the roster
I agree this team has good bones. They need to improve the defense and add size.
Under former-GM and current President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard, the Pacers historically are more active during Free Agency than with trades. That being said, I would love to see a S&T to bring PG13 back to Indy for a solid championship run.
Look out for Jarace Walker next year. Didn’t get much playing time bc the team is so deep, but he will be a big part of the internal development that will happen for Indy’s young core. He’s really the missing defensive piece that we needed. Hopefully he has a good season next year
Stop it he's too small
@@theetruth8626he’s like 6’7, 6’8. For a PF, that’s fine. It’s not tall or anything but it definitely ain’t small. Also, the dude is built

Okay hear me out…what about Jonathan Issac? 5:08
Not that much of spacer but his ability to free flow would be a great fit
That was instantaneous
The path forward for Indy is tricky. Hali, Mathurin, and Walker feel like the post Turner and Siakam core, but it also feels wrong to sit on your hands. On the one end Walker could be that blue chip defender you need. On the other end, you can’t waste a year of everyone’s prime to try and get that out of 20 year old. Indiana probably makes a trade of young talent to consolidate into a more defensive backup big and that one true dawg in the wing.
I really just heard you say “trade mathurin and a pick for klay” math is better than klay and 10 years younger
I'll be here 5 seconds before the end of tonight's game to see your video
It all depends...
How much will siakum cost?
Hali is going to get a max.
Myles is near max.
So where os the rest if the money coming to keep the rest
20+ yrs watching NBA and never saw a team giving games like em.
Nesmith is someone I hope they keep. He did really well ( besides the choke job in game 3) with scoring the ball.
The things that will really determine if the pacers are a championship team is if
1. Get better defensively Tyrese Haliburton specifically
2. Get better in late game situations I felt the pacers were rushing too much when it came to the wire this series. Game 1 they rushed and had so many stupid turnovers. Game 3 the steal holiday had was because they rushed down even though they had complete control of the game. Game 4 the rushed down the court and ended up getting stop which allowed the Celtics to get fast pace buckets.
I get their style of offense is move down the court in transition which I like but there are certain parts of the game were they should slow down as it just doesn’t make sense to keep pushing the ball.
3. Overall idk if there is a free agent available that would help them maybe they could make some trades to get one more key piece but they would sacrifice key bench depth for that. I really feel like they are a piece or two away to being a threat.
I liked watching this team play and will definitely look more into them next season
jrue holiday would be a really good fit but i don’t think they got the cap, maybe mike conley. but I’m not even sure if those guys are FAs tbh

This team is full of players who have improved their stock over this whole season, loads on untapped potential, first playoff run for the vast majority of this team, loads of experience gained that will be put to good use next season and will fuel further development. On top of that you are acting like we traded away all our picks... lol. Maybe read up on teams first before making dumb comments under videos.
Nembhard bros have endurance. I haven't seen a video comparing Gonzaga pairing Nembhard with Suggs (which was was an undefeated team until Baylor in the championship game had 3 NBA ready guards) to Pacers pairing Nembhard with Tyrese Haliburton... Bennedict Mathurin I didn't even know he was out but on the Pacers! Yeah rooting Pacers again now. In between Halliburton and Siakam? that is a wiiiiiiiide spectrum. I like Dort... Giddey is like a worse Reaves... don't dream on Bridges but if you can get him sure...
Rick loves Benn... but it's tough love. He knows that he can be "star level" (direct quote from Rick) and is pushing his buttons in order to try and get him there. I put the odds on him being traded at like +10000
Im convinced you have this pre recorded, how do you get these out so fast 😂
You answered your own question, I think.
It was prerecorded coz pacers were gonna lose
Bro acts like no one on earth could have predicted celtics putting pacers in the trash can.
Pacers stay INTACT ,,,,, ,Mathurin is a beast.....Jalen Smith with more muscle is a good stretch 4... .Jarice Walker has improved his 3 shooting and is BIG.....and Brown & Oscar are getting gooder and gooder
OG fans know his name is Tucker. That used to be his sign off from way back in the day
Hali’s got a lot of work to do in the off-season. Dude has no mid-range game. In a seven game series he becomes predictable. It’s either the step-back three or he’s penetrating looking for the open three. To your point, if he can develop a respectable mid-range I think his potential is closer to what we saw the first thirty games.
He definitely needs to be more aggressive in the mid range area but with the Bucks and Knicks series they were trapping him instantly off of screens to get the ball out of his hands. I don’t know if he can be the 24 and 12 guy he was the whole first part of the year but 20 and 10 is pretty easy for him and that’s still elite.
@@tyjohnson9974 💯 I said it when the Siakam trade went down… this teams ceiling hinges on Mathurin. You know what you’ve got in Hali and Siakam.
he’s actually an amazing mid range shooter and finisher. He just needs to be more aggressive in doing it
@@byt865 the attempts speak for themselves. Whether it’s aggressiveness or ability, he’s clearly leaning on the 3-ball and dribble penetration too much. Very predictable.
@@byt865 he needs to be more aggressive in general
The pacers had game 1 and game 3 and they blew it.
Very close in game 4 aswell, but hey it's an incredibly young and inexperienced team facing the best team in the league who have been there and done it all pretty much, except for winning a championship, though Jrue has a ring. Come on, making the games close and gaining postseason experience and making a run as a inexperienced team that last year had #7.... they deserve credit and they have a lof of hope and yet untapped potential for the future. This postseason is golden for Indy and fuel for the future IMHO.
I think Carlisle is going to get one more chance next season. The Pacers definitely got lucky playing a heavily banged up Bucks and Knicks, but they're a team with a very bright future.
Hali was on a hot streak as many players were to begin the season. No one should have expected him to keep that up especially when defenses cracked down on his weaknesses lmao injury didn’t help but that wasn’t going to be a season-long ppg avg
what about the in season tournament
respectfully, unless they make some major additions - they are the 2021 Hawks. It was one of the luckiest CF runs of all-time
Tucker, if the Pacers trade for Klay I will commit sudoku in the middle of a public thoroughfare
ESPECIALLY if they trade away Mathurin to get him.
I love that game. Very challenging.
Why would they trade for klay isn’t he a free agent
Sudoku is very low stakes. Kind of boring for my taste.

I can't see them doing better than they did this season
They have that wing defender guy you’re talking about, his name is Aaron Nesmith 🤦🏽♂️ and like half those guys u listed are literally worse than him 😭 they’re a very young team with continued improvement from guys like Tyrese, Nembhard, Mathurin, Nesmith, Jarace and Sheppard they’ll be just fine

As a bucks fan I know I might sound bias but they not making it this far again unless they trade for a star we are gonna be a year in with giannis and dame the 76ers might get PG next to embid and maxey and heat might get dmitch and Knicks gonna be back and Orlando is great to its gonna be a lot better next year
The bucks and Knicks could not be fully healthy like this year.
bro prefired the loss
Didn’t bring up Jarace Walker
They still have extra assets if they want to make a move
We aint trading mathurin 😅 hes ours also mathurin said he can adjust to what we do since we changed since he got hurt
The only thing that scares me about the pacers is that while a good team they got incredibly lucky to get to the eastern conference finals ... The bucks and knick were riddled with injuries in the two series with the pacers ... So while yes they can improve, I have a feeling next year the may not have the same success.
They are just like the 2021 Hawks
Everyone knows Indy a fluke
They wont. It was pretty obvious how bad they were struggling against teams missing half their starters.
@@gringoboy701 struggling? A bunch of those Pacers series wins against the Bucks and Knicks were blowouts lmao
@@theetruth8626 not a fluke. Pacers had winning records against a healthy bucks and knicks in the regular season. Watch Pacers basketball outside the playoffs and you’ll understand.
Mathurin is such a wildcard. He’s a cold blooded shooter, draws fouls, but barely knows how to move with or without the ball. He’s also a whopping 20 yrs old.
they need at least one other good perimeter defender outside of Nesmith, they can’t solely rely on him
That’s the reason they drafted Jarace Walker last year with the 8th pick he just wasn’t ready to play yet. Hes a very good defender. Also before Mathurins injury he was really coming along on the defensive end.

I HATE the injury excuses other fanbases used against the Pacers. As if the Pacers didn't lose Mathurin back in January, who was our 2nd highest scorer (before siakim trade).
As if the Pacers didn't break a playoff shooting record of 67% in game 7 against the Knicks. As if the Pacers didn't have to play the Celtics 2 games without Haliburton. As if the Pacers weren't the nba's highest scoring offense. They'll see.
They’re better than the 2021 Hawks, and they have a great coach. Yikes, why would they want Klay?
The only thing the pacers need are actual big men that can rebound and protect the rim. No more power forwards just two big Centers
getting a bit sluggish tucker. step it up bro
What about Jonathan Issac being traded for
1) The Pacers outplayed the Celtics in 3 of the 4 games.
2) Nembhard played himself past Turner as the Pacers third best player
3) The path to the ECF will be harder next year, but the Pacers can realistically be back.
You said "I'm already going to upset a fanbase" and I already knew it was gonna be the Hawks lollllll
My man is definitely a Brooklyn fan low-key hating on the Knicks… only team you didn’t cover when they got booted.
Pacers gotta learn how to rebound lol hire Dennis Rodman as assistant coach
The Pacers defense was so flimsy and wonky. They left Tatum, White and Jaylen Brown wide-open shots which was hardly contested. As a result, Derrick White buried the dagger to help Celtics advance to finals. Not to mention that the Pacers botched the last 2 minutes with lots of turnovers and 0 FG.
DeMar sounds interesting
I got one, his name is Jarace Walker
The Pacers were 9 points per 100 better with Mathurin off the floor. I'm sure Pacers fans are attached to him because every fanbase overrates their own players. But he's not really that good at anything right now. And I'm not sure I believe his ceiling is all that high. I'd move him while there's still an air of mystery around him.
He’s still only 21 and has proved to be a very dynamic scorer. He’s a good iso scorer and got better on the defensive end before his injury. While he may not fit the exact scheme of the team right now, I think he’s too good of a player to let go of because of his talent.
Isn't Grant and Siakam the same type of player?
Siakam is an elite number 2 option but Hali isn’t a number 1. He’s a 2 too.
ECF is their ceiling.
Who had more assists than Hali this season? 🤔
What other team scored more points per game with a better point guard?
Anyone shoot over 40% from 3?

That was a crappy playoff performance, how do you build from that? I'm betting they win 5 less games next season.
That's some REALLY weird conclusions you seemed to have drawn from this Pacers postseason run.

I have to see how they perform against the Mavs. Heat- no Jimmy, Cavs- Dmitch missed games and no Jarret Allen, Pacers- T. Hali missed games and no Ben Matherien
4-2 mavs maybe
Klay thompson and Paul George might join the Pacers
I calling it Mavs needs to either sweep or win 4-1 vs Wolves or Celtics winning it all
Whatever Indiana does they just dont want to do what Philly would do.

I actually don’t love the Pacers roster. I think they spent much of their assets on Paskal, and while it’s nice to make the East finals. We saw with the Hawks it could mean nothing. I don’t know how this team becomes a real contender with their current roster/assets
Yeah, so much of their assets. Their own first round pick in this (weak) draft and a late first rounder we had acquired from another team in this draft aswell.... and our own (bound to be around #20) pick in 2025, Bruce Brown in a contract setup EXACTLY for a trade like this and an end of bench player who got almost no playing time... whooptiedoo...
