Dude, back during my brief stint as a newspaper delivery guy, my boss showed me Anti Christ. I had been up since 1am and was running on only a couple hours sleep. I remember telling him "I understand the fox, but what's the deal with the deer?" He was completely baffled at how that was possible.
While the 2000's were a mixed bag, I do think there's enough to make some good lists.

I saw the FD highway scene as a kid and thought "Jesus, how long is this going to go on?!"
My recommendation for this era would be Ju-On: The Grudge (Japanese version)

I never understood the hate the second Rob Zombie Halloween movie got. Yes the white horse was dumb as hell and having Michael speak is also blasphemy, but other then that I feel likes it’s perfectly executed. The trauma, the storyline, it’s all top tier.

23:09 the second you started saying this I knew it was about to be a Rob Zombie movie…maybe it helped that I played Rob Zombie music on the way to work today too so he was on my mind 😂
Man, The Hollow Man was DISTURBING when I saw it as a kid, just the concept of an egomaniacal creep with invisibility was a nightmare.
Nice list Ryan! I think some people give this decade a hard time but there's plenty of good stuff if you look around enough.

Easily my most neglected of the decades you’re covering…I’ve seen a lot more 2010s and even 2020s horror.
I love Shaun of the dead, I call it a zombiedy a zombie comedy.
If he’s 5’5 hide your wives.

You definitely had some personal favorites. From this decade I liked Saw II, The Grudge II (Still scares me as an adult), The Descent, Land of the Dead, Resident Evil & Resident Evil Apocalypse (the one with Nemesis), Mirrors, etc.

While not technically a horror movie or being released in the 2000s I’m saddened that the Pest wasn’t on any of these lists 😔
Unless I'm thinking of another movie with the same name, the Pest came out in the late 90's And it was a terrifyingly bad film. 😅

Just because it’s horror doesn’t mean it’s Halloween. Halloween can be fun and light hearted. Like Saw is a horror movie but it has zero association with Halloween

The sequel to descent is not worth watching lol it was a waste of my time I thought it’d be fun and well executed like the first one but it was everything but that just paced weirdly and felt like they didn’t know what they wanted to do with the story
