My review of the first storyline of the Anime Arc. And boy did it feel like they just wanted to get to the second storyline...
Also just as I finished putting together this review I realized SMG4 is starting up a new Arc. Just when I thought I had one review to go...

This arc gets a 2.2/10 in my book, for an arc with such and interesting concept, it’s impressive how much they rushed things up just so they could get to Meggy’s part, which isn’t even better at all (I HATE YOU MEGGY)
4:20 Honestly, the easiest way to have fixed this detail was for SMG4 to have Francis flat out point out that any operation he'd put Mario in charge of, would end in destruction, loss of personal and possibly even the loss of the product he put Mario in charge of.
As in, Have Francis seem more than a Daft Weeb by having him be aware of Mario's utterly Ridiculous antics that cause more harm than good, so Lemonade can still happen, but it can have a good reason why it happens.
The other method is similar, but rather than have Francis _say_ it, he _Shows_ Mario's prior experiences with important jobs with a Flat expression on his face, as if to non-verbally say "Do I have to spell it out to you?"

One of the funniest parts of this arc for me was when Mario turned into an anime Mario as a distraction. Once again supporting how good Mario would’ve fit in this arc. Great review.

The Anime Arc is the worst arc imo. I actually liked the Rapper Bob Arc(I've seen much worse than this arc, like Season 6-8 Spongebob, Jeffys Bad Word, and more).
Edit: Changed my mind, the Genesis Arc is now my least favorite.

Well since SMG4 started up another arc recently, I do believe I'll do another review after the anime arc review is complete.

While 2 out of 3 of the characters showed are video game character (and Unlike some other video game, characters Dont even have an anime adaptation)
And it isn’t the first time.
(Exp: character from DDLC, Pokemon and kingdom heart/final fantasy)
Always have a bit of a problem when they do that (nothing major)
Make me think they just put whatever character they think look anime and call them anime characters.

claiming the PlayStation Sony censorship is a big concern to the anime community when the censorship is only affecting PS4 games and have nothing to do with anime, but still claim the censorship is all about censoring "anime girls tits"
Call the 24 hours pokemon live-streams the biggest troll to the "anime community", when Pokémon is primarily a video game franchise.
Not saying those are bad but him wrongly associating those topics with anime rubs me the wrong way a little, so each time I see peoples treating video game characters/topics as anime ones always get a bit triggered)

I want to wait for it to be done before I give an opinion, but so far I think it's alright. The deletion logic is a bit all over the place but still.
So far, excluding Meggys voice, The TH-cam Arc is my favourite. No where near perfect, but it’s a good set of episodes and shows you can make a good arc with taking your time. Instead of making 3 in one year.
Microwave Head - Roblox Machinimas Ok, I haven’t watched SMG4s videos in like a year because I no longer found his content funny or interesting since the last video I watched was the Untitled Goose Game video. BUT THEY GAVE MEGGY A VOICE!
Yeah, and I’m NOT a fan. It’s not entirely her having a voice it’s really just how now ALMOST EVERY CHARACTER HAS ONE! Like it’s only Mario, Luigi, and Saiko now. Yeah, sure. There’s Bowser and Steve but they never appear anymore. It feels like SMG4’s charm (for some people the only charm he had left) is fading away.
And what's surprising is you guys probably don't even know how much worse it's gotten, almost everyone being given a voice and past characters not appearing anymore hardly takes up 30% of smg4's fall

This is my favourite arc, but I understand some of your arguments (although I think you’re trying a bit too hard to be funny) I think there were some flaws in your argument however, and you are taking some things in this arc too seriously. Like the lemonade stand, or boopkins singing, stuff like that.
Personally, I think the whole singing thing is unfunny, the entire arc until that point built up to that. And it’s a rally song. Yeah... and the Lemonade Stand they could’ve done SO MUCH more with.

Even then, the moment felt a lot more like “why?” They could’ve done a lot more with it. That’s my problem with the arc. They could’ve made it WAY bigger. That’s just me. Every moment in the arc I think of a way to make it just a bit better. Mario’s Lemonade Stand was just, boring. But yeah just me.
Microwave Head - Roblox Machinimas I personally liked Mario’s lemonade stand, thought it was a fun episode. And you could say “why?” About any part in any smg4 episode
Meh, it had a lot more potential, And Luke and Kevin were the ones saying “they want to grow in their writing”, I’m mainly judging these episodes on that.

SMG4, give up on legitimate storytelling. You’re not good at it. All of your arcs have been a flop in some way.

I haven't watched a single SMG4 episode with Human Melony in it. (Not counting the 2020 collab.)

Well, SMG4 decided to fix his flanderization............. by killing him off and keeping Melony alive.

I’ll explain why this arc is my favourite,
1. They make use out of each and every character
2. They capture the emotion just right
3. The humour is VERY good
4. The animation is very good
5. The action is well directed
6. Meggy is in her prime (besides meggys destiny) they show her biggest weakness (pride) and her chemistry with desti was executed very well, and they made me care about a character that only showed up in one episode before this. Axol is a great character, and I don’t think he’s the typical “nice guy” or whatever you said he was.
I actually think the incorporated the two arcs together well, as even though they don’t mix together until one point, the final few episodes make up for that by combining both of the arcs, with desti and francis. They make Francis really unlikable which I love, also the crew went to axol not because saiko thought he created her, but because the thought of other living anime intrigued her, and they brought up that anime was banned where they were and axol volunteered to help them. This arc may not have an epic song like the waluigi arc or bob arc (and now youtube arc), but it has some of the best editing, action, and emotion smg4 has ever had
Yes, but. Unpopular opinion alert, if you look at one of the SMG4 rants “Inkling: Become Human” is just pointless and none of the plot points make sense, after the arc is over nothing changed, the only time human Meggy dealt with anything was 3 videos. as a set of 12 videos they’re fine I guess. But as an arc it could’ve been way better. Mario’s Lemonade Stand our of all the possible jobs they could’ve done. And speaking of 12 episodes, that’s WAY to long, and Final Hours felt overplayed, Desti’s Death felt way to forced, like they new her for 4 episode in the entire series of SMG4. Mario Saves Anime was extremely underwhelming when they had to “convince” the anime. That’s just me, I don’t hate this arc, in fact i think the videos are decent at best, jsut as a story it sucks. Same goes for Rapper Bob. Thankfully, The TH-cam Arc fixed these problems aside from Axol not meaning anything to the story.
Microwave Head - Roblox Machinimas I won’t deny that the anime arc has some flaws, but I don’t think meggy becoming human was pointless because that was meant to lead up to meggys destiny which was meggys entire thing, and meggy being human was important for that. I feel that Mario choosing to do lemonade was his idea, and even if it was francis’ idea as we have seen, francis isn’t exactly the brightest character. I actually didn’t mind the 12 episodes but that may be more of an opinion type of thing. I disagree with destis death being forced, it was unexpected and it was sad because this was the first time a character in smg4 has actually died (except Pete, but that doesn’t really count since we see him later). I found them convincing peach that anime was good was a very smg4 thing to do, so I think we can let it pass. (Again, I personally found it funny). So overall I’d say it does have the best story, and I think this dude hates rapper bob arc way too much because if you look deep into it it’s actually pretty good
Personally,ck can’t help but glare at its flaws. And a Meggys Destiny along with 4 videos is trhe only times we get to see her flaws, and it didn’t really “lead up” to it. And I’m a firm believer in every shot matters. And this kind of breaks that entire idea. Really it’s just opinion. I think 7-10 episodes is a decent length for an arc.
Microwave Head - Roblox Machinimas to be fair the anime arc were 2 arcs built together so that kind of makes sense why it was long, and I don’t think they needed a massive build up, what they gave us was fine
3 episodes isn’t that long for a character.
I think this ruined smg4, not by meggy, Mario has mind now, all videos are highly connected and axol, the characher i hate the most, and to much anime
After the anime arc I started too lose interest in SMG4, the last SMG4 video I have watched was the Untitled Goose Game video

Digital Apple well I think 2020 is a lot better. There is more variety. Not as much variety as the old days but more then 2019. Smg4 brought back Sonic the derphdog (If Mario was in the sonic movie) and 2 ssenmodnar. I know there is an arc in 2020 but it is a lot better than the anime arc. There is only 9 videos and the first 6 videos are just funny, not so serious and pure smg4. The last 4 videos are pretty serious but still funny. It’s could “The TH-cam Arc” and smg3 is in it. You won’t regret watching it.

So, the Internet Arc ended, and now the cast of characters has doubled, adding lots of unnecessary ones, and now SMG3 has been banished and I’m not sure if he’ll return or not. Also, now Meggy has a new voice and has completely lost her inkling identity
I’d say this isn’t a bad thing, the new characters seem like they’ll be minor characters like Jeeves
And I think meggy being different from her inkling identity is good, since it feels like her old voice didn’t completely fit her knew body

Andres Acosta I agree, but considering how long smg3 has been in smg4 (he is the oldest smg4 villain besides bowser) I don’t think smg4 is just going to stop using him completely, but I’ll bet it’ll take a while before we see him again
Will SMG4 ever learn that less is more? I am thinking of a main cast and its based off the 2011-2017 one with a few new additions.
So..... Where’s the 2nd part?
