This level in a nutshell: "I know your katamari is big enough to pick up a massive grizzly bear, but you lightly brushed against a clump of dust that's vaguely shaped like a bear, so we're going to kick you out of the level"
This level is so frustrating! I hate that the tiniest little bear statue immediately ends the level. And you can't even pause and restart the level like most games would allow you. You have to sit through all the level ending dialog, go back to Earth, find the level again, go through all the beginning level dialog, and THEN you finally get to try again... So annoying.
This fucking level and the cow one. I like the concept, but at least gives us a couple chances to swap the animal for a bigger one before finishing it.
Good idea! I kept getting to the point where I was big enough to roll it up, but whenever I got near it it'd get spooked and take off like a rocket. Didn't even think to stun it just before getting big enough to roll it up.
OMFG i get to the right size and the bear rocket boosts away from me. All i am seeing is blood. Also, would a restart button here have killed them? Takes 25 minutes almost to load up the level to where you can try again.
I spent almost a whole night playing this level, just because I thought the biggest bear was the one on top of a building, I think it's supposed to be a store. I just had to get it, but not even 10 meters were enough lol
It was a miracle that my Katamari didn't pick them up. It was a SAVE! I do found this to be shocking. This and Taurus levels do ask you to pick up the largest object possible but as found many times that you will end up picking up a smaller item, I was frustrated. I kept optimizing my routes a lot so that I can't keep losing.
I haven't touched Dark Souls in a while as I just bought myself ELDEN RING. Yet, I'm too busy to play both. This and the cow level does explain Dark Souls difficulty.

When you got launched at 9:40 you were SO lucky to not grab a bear.
He did not get launched at 9:40.
But at about 9:26 he got hit by a car and came sooo close to hitting a couple different bears!

When I fail, I get mad... but only cuz of the dumb way to restart te level...
Agreed. It's so stupid and primitive to not have a restart option in a video game like this.

Glad that apparently everyone hated this level and the cow one, it's a shame because the game is fantastic but this level is really frustrating
I got to size 4m90cm and the bear kept running away before I could get it in time... I thought I'd be more frustrated playing dark souls

It’s definitely one of my least favourite stages i ever played i still find it very stressful and frustrating to play.
