If you look closely its actually 3 places not just from devils roar to shipwreck there is another one which looks like its night and he isnt in devils roar
Not really, on every beta I found friendly players. Its just the community of this game, maybe because of microphone communication people care more than in other games.
I never met a ship because I would see them and sail the other way except when it came to skeleton ships I was able fend them off but they were to fast for me to outsail
Got to play the beta finally not to long ago and man was it a blast to play. Unlike destiny and division this defiantly has got me hyped. As a fan of pirate stuff like One Piece and pirates of the Caribbean this is right up my alley :).
krokante knakker that's one way I know of, another is that you can sign up for the Xbox insider program. And when they hold a technical test you'll be invited to play and finally you may be able to still sign up for the beta on the website. But if none of that works we should be getting an open beta very very soon so keep your eyes out.
I like your casual "just having fun" attitude, ontop of your ability to use the games elements to turn the odds in your favor. Entertaining video. You, good sir have earned a sub!
I decided to watch your channel partly because I've just picked up SoT myself, but mainly because your brother speaks highly of you on his channel! Very much enjoyed the entire video! 10/10 would bang! :D
Soloing is my only option right now. My first hour in the game I sailed unwittingly into a big storm. It was the most exciting thing I've done in a game's first hour. By the time I got out the storm I knew so much more about how to sail the ship.
Trust me I am terrified as well, I fell off during a storm and I was so scared but you’re mostly on the ship so it isn’t that scary! Just play with a friend (or 3) and it makes it so fun
Me and a crew raided and battled two other crews for it and won. Later on we met them at the outpost. They apologized for fighting us and gave us a captains chest. Was pretty cool meeting nice people in the game.
Honestly the thing I've always wanted to do in a game like this is create a huge mercantile guild, with fleets of ships that just sail around trading with other players and establishing a safe haven/neutral ground area on an island. If this game had a system I could do that in, I don't think I'd ever stop playing.
the part at the beginning was kind of chilling lol, like davy jones' ferryman just anchored right in front of that poor sod, and all he could do in response was play music xD
I love LOVE the fact that you take risks with editing like the intro to this video. Too many TH-camrs think so little of us viewers that they just middle out raw video with no effort and expect us to enjoy it. With that being said I highly highly recommend looking up some techniques on black fades. You did a fantastic job but there is just a couple my new things wrong with it and it made it very off-putting to the trained eye. Black fade held too long transition between image to fade was too abrupt, and for some reason the pacing felt off even though I'm pretty sure you follow the music. Usually this is indicative of somebody following the pacing the music to exactly when sometimes you need to stagger it by a couple fractions of a second just for the brain to make it feel natural. The end-all-be-all ultimate ruler of editing is how does it feel. Anyone can justify anything in editing if it feels good
From my experience, a big ship can sail faster than a small ship because it has more sails. However smaller ships can turn quickly and can break away from bigger ships. However the big ship can catch up again so it just comes down to if the big ship is a major douche and wants to kill you
This game really interests me if it wasn't for having no progression and also me not having any friends to play this game I would see myself spending countless hours in this game
Bro i love your vids. I just started a couple days ago and never even been on the bigger ships so this vid helps. Don't really have anyone to play with yet. Anyways i watched your 50 min vid yesterdsy with you and Will. I learnt alot so thanks again! You have my sub!
This game needs a proper trading game mechanic not just 'go collect a chicken and bring it back here' *You are now revered with XYZ trading company* :/
If a ship game like this has an actual mercantile trading game mechanic it would give players a purpose to stay in the game, the PVP aspect can wear off fast. Even if you have to deliver a shipment of cargo across treacherous sea's or be a whaler or fisherman.. There is lots of potential for this game but I think keeping it just PVP will be its shortcoming imo.. where the games goes, we're yet to see, time will tell!
Now that its out it has a reputation system, like if you do a voyages for the Trading Company you can get better contracts from them. I'm real excited as there hasn't been a good pirate game since Black Flag.
I thought this game would be super boring, but even the dull moments in this game are still fun. Only played a day so far and by myself, but it's a fun game and I cant wait to join my friends crew :)

Fordman 1991 they are basically faster since they turn easier, and their sails can be adjusted faster
