The things I love about Sea of Thieves are that it doesn’t hold your hand and you can use pretty much any tactic or strategy you can think of. There’s pretty much no rules. But I also like that it doesn’t stroke itself and take itself too seriously, and has ridiculous things like shooting yourself or a pet out of a cannon, trolling friends with blunder bombs and gunpowder kegs, sneaking on enemy ships and phantom messing with their boat, playing shanties together etc. The problem I have with other “tactical” games is they take themselves wayyyy to seriously and focus so much on immersion that they forget to make anything fun. Sea of thieves is fun first, tactics/strategy/skill/tools second, and sandbox third. Haven’t played in a while and I’m not really a fan of the more recent updates(particularly the emissary system) but I love the sailing and ship combat, truly superb. I also love sneaking on ships to try and steal loot(stolen many a haul that way).
I just want to let you know that my mum loves this series. I don't even own this game (as of yet), but she lights up when she sees the gameplay and gets a good laugh from it all.
When the cracken wraps around you like that, in my experience it usually lets go really fast if you hit it with the cutlass. but yeah, getting megalodon, then kraken plus skelleton gally, that's tough luck good thinking for the rowboat; nice video! I haven't been playing since a month after launch and I'm redescovering lots of tactics and how to do things properly that I completely forgot
Listening to your captain and swallowing your ego is so important in this game... This crew is a perfect example of a crew listening to their captain and open clear communication

I once took the rowboat from our ship after a another crew sank us. They got attacked by the kraken so I snuck on theirs with the rowboat and loaded everything I could onto it and then rowed all the way to an outpost to sell it. These shenanigans don't happen in any other game! I love it!

I just started SOT 2 days ago. Already im hooked. Soloing skeley ships. Last night a ramdom n I manage to kill a megladon. Which was awesome! Had some tasty megladon meat and drank grog in celebrating. While drunk we got attack by 2 skelly ships coming out from the water. Repairing was inpossible and tryna trow water on your partner while ya both drunk was wayy to funny. All while the ship taking hits frok both sides lol not to mention a player brigaded was gainning on our tail. We did lose the sloop. But man was it funny. I felt like a true salior. Cant wait to unlock more stuff. Currently going for a full shark hunter livery. Tryna blend with the night.

0:07 The cat sounds exactly like my cat begging me to give him some shredded cheese. He has a special yowl that he only does when he hears someone open a bag of cheese and it sounds like they just recorded him for the game audio.
My favorite memory from SoT was me and a couple friends were doing a fort and beat it. We stole the key because of a rival brig and left hoping they'd lose interest. We see them leave and another for pops up at the same place so we go back open the vault without finishing it load all treasure while dodging Skellies they come back and give chase but turn around to go finish the Fort as the Skull Cloud was still up
Man, just watching this and I realized how bad me and my friend had it. We spawned and not a minute after we left we got attacked by a kraken. We killed it and another spawned as we were sailing away.
I love those tense galleon battles. Nothing beats two galleons duking it out. Unfortunately my friends really hate sailing on a galley. They are more brigantine guys (because those are more agile), but it's still fun watching epic galleon play footage nonetheless. Lots of anchor-turning though :p.

When the Kraken wraps your ship with a tentacle, you have to shoot the tentacle's head that's either very close to the ship in the water or resting on the deck, shoot the head 2 or 3 times and it will let go of the ship.
the biggest way to tell between a skeleton galleon and a player galleon is that skeleton galleons always have their lanterns on and the lanterns are green and purple. (players sometimes pretend to be skeleton galleons to trick you; so be careful)
The amount of times row boats saved me. We dropped ours behind a rock and me and one guy rowed to an outpost while our ship lead an alliance away from us
I remember sea of thieves when it just came out and there were three songs on the instruments, no pets, no rowing boats and only 2 ships. That was the best time to play sea of thieves
The title of this vid reminded me of a similar event in which happened awhile ago when i was on a gally with 1 friend and 2 randoms I invited from a group-post (Xbox) we got attacked by the kraken, Megalodon and another player ship where we escaped with skull fort loot.
