Just loved the way how Pranav filtered through everything to search for the companies to apply to. Hats off Navjot to your determination and hard work on bringing such informative interviews💯🙏
I saw this video today, and it gives me so much of hope. It is very hard to be positive, considering today's job market, the ongoing recession, and inputs from so many people that it is hard to get a job in Canada. They say that you will have to struggle for a job for minimum 6 months there, accept any job you get, getting a job in your skillset (in IT) is difficult. I was almost in tears today morning thinking what would I do to secure a job in Canada. This video gives hope, valuable information and a strategy that can be used to secure my dream job. Your videos have been very helpful so far. I hope I too am blessed with a job, and eventually get a PR.
The video that I was looking for! I will be landing Toronto soon as a PR and have started my job search journey. This video added fuel to what I am already doing. I'm an HR and fingers crossed on bagging a job soon. Thank you Navjot and Pranav for this awesome video!
@@jasminekaur9096 haha...Sure why not. Just to clear the air, I'm not into recruitment but Talent Management/OD consultant role. Nevertheless, it's a small world indeed. Best of luck to both of us :)
It's such a great feeling to see someone you have worked with on channels that you have watched for years. Great work Pranav! Hopefully will see you soon on the other side of the world.
Firstly, my respect for you Navjot has increased tremendously. The reason being the exact set of questions being asked throughout this discussion (as in like we have had the the same questions given we were asking Pranav in person). I think people can second why your videos are a delight for the intended audience, it is the content you deliver :)👏 In furtherance, applause to Pranav for being bang to the responses and making it crystal clear with what all a person can do, especially when they are not in Canada and applying while being in India or even any other country they are planning to come from. More power to you 😊👏
Great insightful video, great content, wish had such videos when we landed back in 2018...you are doing an amazing job Navjot for newcomers...God bless you. .
I can totally relate to Pranav. I did exactly the same I landed with job offer in mere 2 months, without PR or Work Permit. They even sponsored my Work Permit 🥳
Can you create a video where Simran can share the whole technical interview process for different companies where she worked in Canada and also how she cracked the USA interview process, as she is from Technical background. Also, how to negotiate for the salary. Looking forward to this video. If it is already present on channel then please reply in this comment. Thanks guys you are doing wonderful job to provide guidance to new comers.
Really useful information... knowing that someone has already cracked this makes me feel confident about my similar journey... thanks for the video .. really helpful!! 👍
There is one thing having experience and skill set and another thing to have job applying skills. When you develop those skills, like writing good unique cover letters for each employer you are applying to and sending variations of your resume based on what the job description demands, improving your soft skills for the interviews will go a long way to getting hired in Canada. I recently came from India on a LMIA work permit by applying to jobs in Canada. My technical skills were definitely the base of getting the job offer, but without writing cover letters that show that I took some effort in looking up who the employer is and what they do, I wouldn't have landed this job or the visa.
I just checked Pranav’s TH-cam channel and he has posted just 8 videos and total less than 11K views BUT he has 252K subscribers. How is it even possible? Feels something fishy to me. Am I the only one noticed it????
Hi Vikas. Thank you for watching the video. The reason is very simple. My channel had different niche videos earlier, when I decided to create canadian journey videos I decided to delete earlier ones and basically start from scratch. So lost all my views but retained the subs.
I also got all the good roles from LinkedIn only. Networking and focused approach are helpful. I also used to make a list from job requirements to see what tools I need to upgrade from and I can quickly do it on my own. For one of the good permanent roles in one of the Big 4, I didn't even complete the application. I just started applying on Linkedin and left it in between. I was in india on vacation and got a call. I was so surprised. Before that All I did in 15 days I added approx. 1200 people from Hiring and recruiting background for the locations I was interested in. Also one thing I still do is that I do take calls from recruiters even though I am not looking for a change. I talk to them, and always end the call with the message that keep in touch we may work together in future. Linkedin is the best !
so basically bottom line is this...you need to have good profile and legal to work...this video is not about how you will get job without PR. it's almost impossible to get decent job if you are in India, have average qualification, have average job. You need to be at a position to tell employer that in few months or days I will be there and can legally work, then only you will get job.
Great one guys!.... QQ: was wondering i you can share the company that Pranav got the Job or joined.... Considering his feedback about the company, many would love to give a it a try to work in place like that
Hello Navjot and Simran.. I truly appreciate your effort and contribution. I have been following you guys for long now. I am glad to inform that we are moving to Canada in 2 months on PR, I hope we could connect there someday, would love to meet you both. I am Architect - Urban Planner by profession, and any leads or connections to professional groups there would be of great help. Once again, thank you so much for the extensively researched, accurate and relevant content.
Same here, I'm into Digital Marketing.. applied for Open work permit already. Waiting for the approval, meanwhile looking for projects, contracts, or even jobs! Anymore contacts or insights please?!
In my sector (oil & Gas) prior Canadian experience is mandatory. I’ve now appeared for 3 interviews and have been rejected in all because of no prior Canadian experience (which was evident from my CV anyway)
@@deekshaverma1110 I am moving to Canada and will search once I’m there. I have 15 years experience so don’t intend to change the stream. Max I’ll shift to alternate energy

Does receipt of AOR necessarily mean that you'll get the PR? He quit his job after getting the AOR which means he was sure that he'll get the PR.
AOR doesn’t guarantee of PR. I know at least 4 cases who got AOR but application got rejected due to some documents issue (all 4 due PCC actually).
