Hello, Beach Angel! So glad to be with you again! I love it when the sunrise is reflected in the backwash like that! I'll admit that I went full screen and made quite a few screenshots. With your permission, I'll get some of those blown up to frame. I'll be happy to share. What a lovely day for shelling! Glad you got a permanent sunrise in the prickly cockle pair. Hope you remembered to check the high water rack line for seahorses! Remember Ian! Sorry you cut yourself, darling, but it's an honorable wound from your war against litter. I'm proud of you! Sending much love and many prayers for your friends and neighbors. The people who were hit the hardest by Helene's flooding here are now faced with the snow and cold of the oncoming winter. We had first frost and freeze last week, leaving people with no power, no water, no heat and no homes. It's a terrible situation, with entire small towns washed away and many people still missing and presumed dead. Our tourism dollars have dried up all over East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Destruction is widespread and people's entire families are dead. One man lost all eleven of his immediate family, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of them at once. Pray for East Tennessee and Western North Carolina, people, PLEASE! Friends out of the stroms' reach, please don't stop making charitable gifts to rescue groups, even small gifts add up. It's going to be a hard winter in these mountains! As ever, my heart is with you, Sharmon. Stay safe, my friends! ❤❤
Thanks Sharmon, I watched the sunrise about 3 times before beach time, it was so pretty! Lovely shells today. I went shark tooth hunting with my daughter Saturday, the beach we go to has dry beach even during high tide so neither one of us checked. It was super high, we laughed so hard running from the occasional wave that actually made it all the way up the beach. Went home with wet feet and very few shark teeth but had a great time with my daughter.
I’m DYING to get back to the Ft Myers area to see my sister! I’ve made my Flight reservations for right around Valentine’s. I still haven’t finished “placing” all of my finds from August, but I’m waiting for the cold, cold, Winter days of South Bend, Indiana to get cozy and finish going through them and putting them in my apothecary jars and shadow boxes. 😊 thank you for sharing that gorgeous sunrise!! ❤❤ take care of you!!!
Thank you for this lovely time. We got to Lee county last May and were on Sanibel 3 days on East Gulf drive. We saw the near 4 ft surge level placard in the shell museum. I hope the great folks at the museum are alright.
Beautiful sunrise, We were at South Marco today. They have the beach mostly cleaned up, but the pen shells are in piles. We found a couple of true tulips, alphabet cones, and some other nice shells by digging through the pen shells; however, take bug spray as the bugs come out and bite when you disturb the pen shells and the grasses.
I heard that had crushed and kind of cleaned up all those shells. Good to know there are still piles to go through. It was quite a scene down there right after Milton.
The beach time today brought tears to my eyes and such a longing to walk that beach .Over 20 yrs of shelling on TigerTail Beach and how I miss it. But Covid and then health issues ended that. Many thanks for that glorious sunset and wonderful memories!💜❤️🙏🇨🇦🇨🇦😢
What a special moment, thank you for switching up the beach time today... I got emotional, can't wait to show my new baby the beauty of the beach next spring ❤
Always a heartfelt joy to watch - sure wonder how you are after Milton. Worried as I have not heard from you. Hope you and yours are well. Blessings for you and all of you.
My 8 year old daughter and I love watching your videos! We live in SC and she loves identifying the shells we find from our beach trips. The lightning whelks are her favorite.
Omg this was such a good video. I'm from Scotland and when I visited florida before I actually brought a shell back from a shell shop and it was one of those flat urchins you showed at the start ❤
As a life long native Floridian it is sad to see the slow erosion of our west coast, it is now becoming obvious that our coast lines are forever changed and cannot be saved. Eventually those that have businesses and homes will have no choice to let the sea take what they have loved for so long. All the renourishment projects and planting dunes or trying to build those barriers like boulders and rocks like you see in Venice Beach will not protect what mother nature wants. As someone that grew up on the east coast in South FL, those beaches have remained pretty much intact but the west coast, sadly, is a sinking coast.
Always look forward to your videos and your happy peaceful fun voice. My Hubby has leukemia and we had to get his adrenal out in Tampa a yr ago last May and it's been a struggle since then. I've been watching your channel at least the last two yrs and love it. I had one hour at Clearwater then, but didnt get to find any horse Conches. The sunrise is gorgeous. Every Sunday it brings me such joy to pretend I'm shelling w you. I'm trying to declutter my house to redo it w a Coastal Tuscan theme
Its not easy being a caregiver and my heart goes out to you. I'm a big fan of decluttering (I just recycled a huge box of paper this morning) so I hope between my channel and your little projects you have fun things to preoccupy yourself with. Thank you for watching and coming to the beach with me!
As a child in the1960's my aunt introduced me to shelling. Every summer I would go with my family down to Naples. My Dad and uncle would fish for snook, and I would go shelling. I am now 71 and can remember the names of every shell you picked up. Back then we had to take a boat over to Marco and Sanibel Islands. I have 9 legged starfish, which I was told were only found on Sanibel. I had my shells displayed in a shell coffee table that was built by a craftsman in Naples. Everyone that came to my childhood home in Savannah were amazed with my collection. You have enough alphabet cones to fill a dictionary!! My favorite were olive shells . Still waiting for you to uncover an angel wing or turkey wing. I was able to go out shelling after a few tropical storms, but never had a hurricane during the 60's. .
Wow, the beaches you must have seen. I have read stories about the shell piles that could be discovered before all the causeways were built. You were very lucky to have had that experience as a child. I myself have a lot of catching up to do. I didn't move here until 5 years ago, and I had no idea about shells! I just love learning about nature and the beach. Thank you very much for watching!
This was fun to watch, thank you. I think the live critters was the best; especially that dancing crab, the live sand dollar and live conch. All this northener ever sees are the bleached remains. So many colorful shells of various shapes and sizes; nice to hear their type and interesting facts. Your joy of the beach come through in spite of the recent hurricanes. 😊
I really don't like the cold or winter (hence why I live in sub-tropical southern Florida) but winters here mean very low tides and I'll get to see SO many critters. I can't wait! Thank you very much for watching!
Great finds post storm. I always find it fascinating how much can change after a big storm and you dont get much bigger than the hurricanes you guys had. Thanks for sharing.
Much love from the shores of Charlotte Harbor. Super bummed my beach park is closed; for the mean time....thank you for taking me along to see the beach at Fort Myers
Oh beach friend hugs! I was traveling all over while my beaches were closed after Hurricane Ian. Sanibel was closed for over 4 months! It will take time and patience - but the beaches will reopen eventually. Thank you for watching!
Gorgeous sunrise, and shell collection! Little critters are fun, too. I'm SO mill the beach!!! A friend is relocating from So. CA. to Pensacola. Sould be arriving later today. Retired!!! Buying a cute bungalow. Very happy for her. I can't wait to visit in a few months.
I got to spend a few days on an island last year and I experience an amazing sunrise. This sunrise was just as glorious. I'm so lucky to get to experience such beauty 🥰
Thank you, you’re so very learned about shells!! My late hubby and I used to go shelling in Myrtle Beach,I’ve always wanted to get down to Fort Myers Beach, and maybe build up the courage to travel down by myself? ♥️🇨🇦
♥ I'm HOME and I got to watch "seashelling" tonight instead of having to wait until Monday morning! Nice bunch of shells, in spite of the beach not being what you expected. Especially that little wentle trap just lying there waiting for you to notice it! And you got to be there (and so did we) for that glorious sunrise!! (I don't close my eyes during beach time...I watch the waves, "feel" and "smell" the water and the air.) Now...to go back to watch the Patreon videos I couldn't get for the last three months! Thank you, Sharmon!!
I was going to say I wish every sunrise was that spectacular, but I guess that would make them less special. I hope you're enjoying the cooler weather! ❤️
Thank you for showing the sand dollar. I live in Canada and someone showed me a sand dollar when I was in California and they told me sand dollars are created by the sea. I did not believe them but they actually convinced me but the truth has finally been said - Sand Dollars are living creatures. Now that makes way more sense. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video.
Thank you so much for the gorgeous sunrise! I'm sorry to see the changes to Ft. Myers after Helene. I'm ready to support you by becoming a Patreon member. Wish me luck in figuring it out!
Great how you jump into content immediately. Great editing and filming . Your voice has lovely calming quality with intonations of up beat without squeaking. And you say what will come back too..brilliant too. A little bit science in the tide charts mixed with heart and soul of the sea’s edge. Wow a live sand dollar.
Hi Sharmon. What a fabulous shell hunt this was! I gasped when you pulled out that orange fighting conch and the big orange horse conch was awesome too. What a haul! All of it. That blue crab was so cute. Thanks for sharing the sunrise. I don't know if I told you or not that I'm a landscape painter, and that sunrise was very inspirational. Have yourself a lovely week!
Nice video but I was hoping to see more shells on the beach also. Can’t wait to see what you found on Marco after Milton! I have been watching videos from Dave with “Remove It Pros” and seeing all the sand that washed off the beach that they are piling up in Bonita Springs. He says they have to sift and clean it and put it back on the beach. He said the piles about four stories high!
Hey Sharmon! Just now catching up after the 6:47 hurricane. Been really busy with Hurricane Relief. Didn't have service for over 2 wks. I have so missed my "beach time". Gorgeous sunrise and of course awesome shells!! Thank you for sharing your adventures. Sure needed it after all the devastation I have witnessed from this storm!
I hope your thumb is not too bad!! Ouch! This was a very fun walk and great treasures!! That is so sad about the beach. I hope the sand comes back. I hope you have a great week and I will see you Sunday! XOXO
Right? And the way the colors shifted ever so slightly. You have to catch it at just the right moment or it's gone. I hope I get to see many more beautiful sunrises this winter!
Oh I am very glad the algorithm made your video pop up in my feed, I adore shell 🐚 hunting. Those lightning welks are my favourites, I think. Those tiny shells are too adorable 🥰 too! Nutmeg is my favourite spice, and now I know what they are called, I love the shell of the same name too. Thanks for all the close-ups. I learned a lot about shells today. 💙💙💙
OMG what a gorgeous sunrise!! Boy do I miss that! 😢 Yes, that was a huge nutmeg!😮 I have a "nursery" - all my tinies - packed... Oh yeah, the "beach time" was a killer Sharmon! Great idea!👍❤️ Thank you!😘
You were very blessed by such a gorgeous sunrise! Thank you for letting us enjoy it with you!
Nice finds too! ♥️👍🏻
I don't even know how I found your channel but this was the shot of serotonin I needed!

OMG!!!!! Unbelievable sunrise!!! That is a photographer's dream and you did a spectacular job shooting this moment in time 📸. 🇺🇸🌻🍁
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I was talking about it for days ☀️
That was the most prettiest 'Beach Time' yet. :)
I know what you mean! I was very excited for that one!
The beach is just so beautiful. The sand, the clean water, the shells... everything is so peaceful.
I love that peacefulness you are talking about!
So timeless walking early in the morning with the sun, birds and the sound of the water ❤❤❤
I agree! It's a beautiful time to be on the beach.

lol re cleaning the shells. I thought I was the only crazy person who looooooooves the cleaning process
You have company! I like cleaning and "messing" with them, too!
What a beautiful Beach Time sunrise! It looked like a jeweled heavenly crown! Thank you for letting us share ❤

Thank you for sharing your “Beach Time” with us!! ❤️❤️
Love the sun rise. It was beautiful. Wishing I had my toes in the sand enjoying that sun rise with the beach time.
I know what you mean. The sunrise was perfect!
Thank you for this lovely time. We got to Lee county last May and were on Sanibel 3 days on East Gulf drive. We saw the near 4 ft surge level placard in the shell museum. I hope the great folks at the museum are alright.
The Shell Museum is a gem of a place! I hope they are doing okay too. They are reopening some of the museum tomorrow.

It is so special to share that with your baby! 💕 Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for teaching us about the ocean 🌊 I’ve never seen a live sand dollar.
The blue crab was hilarious!
I love blue crabs. They have so much personality.
Sunrise was spectacular! Never gets old to watch. Everyone different.
Always a heartfelt joy to watch - sure wonder how you are after Milton. Worried as I have not heard from you. Hope you and yours are well. Blessings for you and all of you.
Thank you for your concern. We are all safe and sound after Milton.

Wow, beautiful sunrise. Thank you for recording it!
The morning sky was beautiful! What a way to start your day!
Agreed - it was so beautiful!
I find funny how you called yourself a "no expert" 😅. You know everything my dear.
I thank you for saying so but the people who know more than me are the experts!
So happy u found a limpet they’re my favorite!
I think they're pretty neat too!
Love limpets!
Omg this was such a good video. I'm from Scotland and when I visited florida before I actually brought a shell back from a shell shop and it was one of those flat urchins you showed at the start ❤
How lovely you got to find a sand dollar! That was also my special treasure the first time I visited a Florida beach!
I just came back from visiting Disney World and also went to Cocoa Beach! No shelling like the Sanibel Island area! Still love to see the coast!
I have a condo in cocoa beach and going in a week. I am hoping to find some shells. I usually do find a few things not like sanibel
I know, right? There's something about the Southwest Florida beaches that's just different. 🐚

Nothing like a beautiful sunrise over water to start a day. Gorgeous gorgeous thanks for the beach walk
I agree, it's an incredible start to the day! 🌊
I love the Prickly Cockle. Such a lovely color.
Thanks for posting! Alphabet cones are my favorite and it was exciting seeing so many get found.
I just learned about them today but they are beautiful!

I hope your thumb is not too bad!! Ouch! This was a very fun walk and great treasures!! That is so sad about the beach. I hope the sand comes back. I hope you have a great week and I will see you Sunday! XOXO
I was shocked at the beating it took. I hope winter storms help heap that sand back on the beach 🙏🏼
Lol! You’re shelling & you said, my 2nd favorite thing is cleaning shells…I don’t mind Atoll! 😂
Phenomenal Beach Time Sunrise 🌅
Wow, that sunrise looked as if the heavens opened up and presented this amazing array of sunlight, almost like a huge burst of sun!
Right? And the way the colors shifted ever so slightly. You have to catch it at just the right moment or it's gone. I hope I get to see many more beautiful sunrises this winter!
