There's another way to access Symbols, go to GBoard Settings > Preferences > scroll down at bottom > turn on "Long Press For Symbols". symbols will show smaller in Top Right of the letters and when you "Long Press" a hinted symbol in a Letter, the symbol will show.

I do like the sliding spacebar stuff and a lot of stuff people mention in these types of videos I usually end up finding out myself. Unlike most people I mess with the settings for hours straight before even using the device lol. I wish that mote keyboards used finger spread to have the iPhone 6S, 7, 8, X, style text selection. 3D Touch is the best feature on a device not just iPhone. 3D Touch should be standard on all devices.
Bro click the 3 dot at the left side of voice type, find the little keyboad that has a line under then you have your floating keyboard to undo it just press that icon again.

Setting-> System-> language-> Virtual keyboard -> gboard-> preference-> Number Rows(on it) You will get a number row. So you dont have to press ?123 button to type numbers
Even though this is old, it still has a lot of nice information that I never knew about Gboard. However, the thing that has me scratching my head is how awesome it is that Samsung Keyboard can be completely custom themed in any way shape and form the user wishes, and yet Google is so old and antiquated to look at, and EXTREMELY LIMITED in their customization. Now, I HATE typing on a Samsung keyboard, because it is horribly inaccurate. But it is ten times nicer to look at than Gboard. So why doesn't Google update it's Android keyboard to allow the user to customize all the colors, shape of keys and all other looks of it???? They need to let the user color it which ever way we like, not give us the WORST collection of colors EVER offered on a phone keyboard...

You can get a wider "space bar" to navigate better, just turn off the language key.
