As he said, it's the triple distillation process. With every distillation you purify the alcohol more by removing some water.

I'm not so sure you can get venom from the Louisiana Lobotomoth, but you can get venom from a tarantula and that's actually a real ingredient used for mezcal cocktails in Mexico. I tried it once and it makes your lips and tongue to feel numb and weird. I don't know how hard it is to get that, but you could have tried that.

I was given a "forget me shot" in 1989 and I just remembered what I forgot like a month ago. I think it was brandy spiked beer in my bottle because I was drinking J. Bavet and beer the day I remembered. People forget things until they reach the same level of intoxication as when the memory was formed. I think that's a real thing. I remember someone taking the bottle away as I was trying to drink it and complaining someone hadn't taken it away sooner because I had too much. First good memory from my youth ever recovered. No guilt, regret or self loathing just a rare happy memory of my drinking days.
