good review, although for future reference, please turn off the brush roll on hard floors when you're vacuuming. You'll risk 2 things if you leave the brush roll running on hard floors - you'll risk scratching your hard floors, because of the rotating stiff brushes, and you'll scatter dirt all over your hard floors, because of the high speed spinning brushes. And as a little tester, vacuum your carpet slowly, and you'll truly see the power dyson is talking about
You're right and it does say that in it's instructions to turn off the brush. With the brush off I found it picks up dirt off of my hard floors with ease .
Good suction. However when using the hose no handle and the extension is not long enough really not happy with mine wish I could send it back and get my money back I had the original one yellow loved it would take that back in a heartbeat. Not happy with this one
I just purchased my second Dyson animal vacuum. I moved the first one to downstairs use. It's 9 years old and in perfect condition. It was used in our dog grooming shop and our home. We have two dogs. I wash it out once a week, which is extremely easy to do,so it was always fresh instead of the stinky feet smell of so many vacuumns. If you get one..which I would highly recommend...treat it well. You won't be disappointed.
Anne Sims I too have a problem with that one. Just got my new Dyson Ball yesterday. Instructions were unclear how to attach tools to side of vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, It's better than my old Hoover who had just died after many years of cleaning and gave up the ghost two weeks ago. Funny that my English friends call vacuuming Hoovering. I'll just say I'm Dysoning.
We have carpeting which is for pets. It has a flexible plastic backing. It is to protect the padding from being wet when a pet has an accident. The Dyson Pet 2 has such strong suction you cannot push it over this "made for pets" carpeting. We were able to return ours. Dyson was very gracious about it as was Bed Bath and Beyond.
All these vacuum companies adjusting the floor head to pick up “big messes” but isn’t there a line between 4 Cheerios in the carpet and a whole box of Cheerios on the floor that you would pick up with the hose? You can just yank out the hose, get them up, put it in, and continue cleaning again.
I got mine today and although it has great suction on carpet in open areas I see no way to properly clean under cabinets, beds, etc. The small turbine head doesn't pick up the dust at all, the wand has holes in it which reduce suction and also is ridiculously small to try to vacuum underneath a bed. How do people vacuum underneath things with this vacuum?
@@hamzahassan7730 the ball started squeaking after three times vacuuming the duster brush has stiff brushes so instead of vacuuming up the Dust it just pushed it around so I returned it I didn't know which vacuum to go with so I decided to call a vacuum repair place to see what vacuums don't come in very often the guy on the phone sad stay away from Dyson even though he sells Dyson he told me to buy a sebo vacuum and I'm sure glad I did Fast Forward six months I put brand new carpet in my house and I was talking to to the installer about vacuums and he told me the brushes on the beater bar on the Dyson's are Stiff and could damage the carpet fibres and if I use a Dyson on the carpet it will void my warranty

I have a Dyson and I hate it. It weighs almost 20 lbs.- imagine carrying that up and down three flights. It is cumbersome and horrible for stair use.

Found one in the thrift store that smelled bad, bought for $20 and took it apart and cleaned it, no smell now works great

This vacuum plugs up with dog hair more than any other vacuum in the world. So much for it's "Powerful Suction".
Not true in my case. Used one for 8 years in my dog grooming shop with no problems.
