Love the idea, something I have done and recommend picking up a piece of foam (very cheap by the way) shaped like either boxes you used for a couple reasons. One is foam will be less of odd impacts because the foam is softer and two the foam will last longer that a box when getting the random hits to the target to be missed.
just tried it ...hate it when your right!.... I used a diet coke box ... clears the mind and just hit 25 drives and 22 were solid... for me strong grip hooks.....even worked well on my irons😂
Thanks Alex - can you video impact of driver into the ball and let us see face angle and impact zone? Seems like I'm setting up ok with my driver, but most of the time I push or hook, occasionally slice. I'm just not sure how to get the face in line at point of impact. I think this video will help, and I'm going to give it a try.
Based on your initial graphic, pros play more inside out than the rest of us? If so, does it make sense to place the box on the inside, then turn the hands on the club based on the result? I generally start my day with neutral hands then adjust based on my results.
@AlexElliottGolf thanks lad!!!!! All the best this new year, so happy you're still making content - truly one of if not the best on the internet!!!!! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
When you were correcting from a hook or slice, you indicated that you rotate your hands. I am assuming that your club face is not supposed to rotate at all when you rotate your hands. Are there situations or specific shot-shapes that are corrected by keeping your hands the same, but rotating the club a few degrees? Thanks
Hi Alex I usually love your stuff mate but this was not your best. The two drives you hit for the slicers to stop the ball going right both tracers were sliced with the ball finishing right of target😂 A slicer wants to see the ball fall from left to right or at least straight, sorry mate. Great channel though cheers
*New drill…new year! Let’s start the year right - remember to apply the box with the grip fix too*

Best explanation of the “why” directions of the golf ball, 4 major ones: push, pull, hook, slice, that I’ve ever seen! Great work!
Much appreciated

Good question, yes that is right. Yes club face stays the shape! Yes the example with the slice shot compared to the hook is where this would occur!
this looks so good
Thank you
Nice ! Thanks
Thank you too!
I assume the curvature of the face is responsible for ball curvature off heel/toe shots in respective directions....
It definitely has a role to play yes on off centre hits
This video would have been interesting watching actuall amateurs who slice their drives do the drill!

Hi Andrew I would say these are slight fades but I get your point. Just want to give you honest tips that work 🙌🏼
@ I get that mate but your slight fade is OB right for a slicer 😂
@@andrewportman2575Andrew, got anything positive to say?🤷
