    Brilliant, I have shared! I got kicked out of the library here and pagan books taken off me! “Barely out of the children’s library, and you are dabbling with the occult young lady!!” She said 🤣😂🤣😂

    *The Druids, Celtic priests of nature* by Jean Markale 1999, Inner traditions International, Rochester USA writes in his book,
    1. If comparisons are to be made between Druidism and Hinduism, it is because of the traditional community of origin between the Celts and Hindus.
    2. Both Celts and Germans are of Indo- European traditions but they traveled to Europe by different routes and different times.
    3. Finally the Tuatha de Danann appeared giving the doctrine and practice of Druidism. They were the Gods and they brought with them both the doctrine and practice of Druidism. Partholon represent the regeneration of human spirit being like Brahma of Hindu symbolism.....Tuatha de Danann represents the spirit of druidic tradition - the divine model that humankind must apply.
    4. Before the Romans conquered them, the Celts never built temples.They are not mentioned in Irish or Welsh epics. The temple of Apollo mentioned as existing Britain is really the Stonehenge. It dates earlier in the Bronze age and is not Celtic. Instead the Celts had only ' sacred woods'
    5. Lastly Celtic civilization is one of an oral nature.The Druids / Celts followed practices like idol worship, worship of multiple gods, food offerings in worship, philosophy of non destruction of soul, burning dead on pyre, collecting ashes, storing them in pots, belief in rebirth after death, worship of ancestors, etc. Julius Caesar in his book 6 while describing them, mentions that they were experts in Religion, Philosophy and Astronomy, and they were doing research in, debating and interpreting, those fields. Namaste

    green robes typically signify the ovate grade, blue is for bards not ovates. i don't know where the tradition of these colours comes from, maybe someone else knows?

    • @andruid5054
      @andruid5054 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they are just the colours to show the 3 different grades in some of the Druid course from the likes of OBOD or the BDO.
      Whereas I just wear a black one as it is more suitable for walking through a Forrest lol

    • @marcrhodes-taylor5347
      @marcrhodes-taylor5347 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andruid5054 I think that OBOD folows this system although I am not sure what the BDO does. I have read a variety of things from the BDO, I am currently studying the Bardic grade with them.

      @@marcrhodes-taylor5347 enjoy it, my wife did the OBOD one, i didnt bother as it didnt sit right with me, the rituals are too long and drawn out for me and so we have a "Hearth" that does away with all the wishy washy parts and is a stripped back more simple version.
      My wife enjoyed the Ovate part as it fit in with her witchcraft path.
      good luck with it and enjoy it

      Druid here. By ancestry not really belonging to any organized group. The explanation for the colors comes from my inner knowledge I have no other source for it. Green makes sense for ovates as for healing you use the heart energy, and the heart chakra is green. I myself am a green witch and I am a healer. Bards who are about singing and story telling are blue because that´s the throat chakra energy, which is blue.

    Leave it to the Catholics to try & destroy a history a heritage of the Supreme Creators (Gods) children. Abraham worshiped the moon, so I suppose that would make it difficult for the Pope to defend. No Religion only God. Discern the rest. Makes s3ns3 to me God would want his children to know how Earth works also to celebrate Earth's creation.
