    ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.
    ABOUT US
Vedanta Society of New York is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order of India. In fact, this is the Order's first Center started by Swami Vivekananda, in 1894. It was a historic event, for the seed of the world-wide Ramakrishna Movement was sown here in New York over a century ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda is the present Resident Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.

I went into mediation for 30 mins and then put this on and was listening to the whole thing and got all the answers. The big questions were answered, the most important one being - Is there any purpose to life, it just feels purposeless? ANSWER - If you are suffering and frustrated, then yes there is a purpose. To find YOUR happiness and to wake up. May the God within us know itself...

It’s up to each of us to find and impart meaning to our temporary human experience.
The Absolute Truth of Ultimate Reality, which is Non-Duality can be experienced directly within the deepest states of Samadhi, or Sat Chit Ananda.
5-MeO-DMT is by far the most effective & efficient method to elicit this experience, with consecutive days in darkness being second. Excessive Meditation is in comparison vastly less effective.
To think you know via the intellect and mind is self-deception, to know non-duality must be experienced directly✨😉

I listened to the Swami's podcast yesterday on Free Will, and the question of quantum mechanics was asked in that podcast as well! I posted an in-depth reply to that video, and I re-post it here.
There is a solution to the paradoxes of quantum mechanics, and the perceived ultimate randomness of the Universe. Dr. Amit Goswami, a pre-eminent quantum physicist, wrote 'The Self-Aware Universe'. In that book Dr. Goswami lays out a theory that solves all the conundrums of quantum mechanics as well as the 'mind-body problem'.
All the mysteries of quantum mechanics disappear if we take the premise that consciousness, not matter, is the root of all being. As the listener mentioned in this broadcast, the particles/waves that make up the Universe are ultimately random. Their trajectories and/or their position cannot be simultaneously determined.
However, the quantum function collapses... When the quantum object is OBSERVED, that is to say SEEN by consciousness. Take the most famous conundrum in physics, Schrodinger's Cat. According to quantum mechanics, the cat is both alive and dead - until the experimenter opens the box to SEE whether the cat is alive or dead.
Dr. Goswami's book provides detailed examples and proofs that in fact consciousness is precisely what determines reality. He further proves that the consciousness that collapses the quantum wave function, (and thus determines reality), is UNITIVE. In addition his theory explains the rise of the separate self - and implies it is an illusion.
In fact, if his theory is correct, then the Universe IS ultimately one consciousness.
    ...

Rupert Spira, Eckhart Tolle and Sarvapriyananda are my favorites. For the last 50 years, I searched and practiced various spiritual traditions including TM, TM-sidhis, Chopra, Yogananda, Buddism, and many others traditions. I saw in these practices may people lost in the wrong comprehension of the teachings, mostly because of inappropriate guides. When I found these three guides I was overwhelmed. I finally found the answers I have been looking for, for many years. I would like to thank them very much for their honesty, their humility, their simplicity and the extraordinary truthness and clarity of their teachings. They bring me joy and happiness and finally unpertubable peace!

Swamiji pranam and you are simply marvellous non- dualistic vedant guru. The answer to the eternal question " who am I" is you are pure consciousness which illumines this outside world which gives experience of appearing to us as real. This is starting point of our journey to self realization.
