The nice thing about Ana projects is she gives minor details and handy TIPS and tricks of the trade like what screw size she is using and why she used Ply, the reasons of using spaces in shelfs etc.. This is really helpful as most of the people who are watching these videos are new to all this and want to be educated on minor details and steps as how things are made. My compliments Ana.
Hi, Ana... I have been looking at DIY bookshelf videos for a couple hours, I stumbled upon yours & only got into it 26 seconds & thought, "WOW! This craftsman is a 21st century phenomenon"! The shelf cofigurator is awesome! Looking forward to checking out the rest of the video, but it impressed me enough that I needed to pause & just tell you, "WELL DONE"!!!
Thank you.... finally a construction video that does not talk down to me and treat me like an idiot. This is the shelf video I have been hunting for. I am sharing this!!!
I’ve been following your website for years and I wanted to say how much your time and effort is appreciated. You and your husband’s generosity transcends anything/anyone I’ve ever encountered in all walks of life and business. There is so much to say, but I will keep it short and simply say thank you. May God bless you and your family with a lifetime of love, happiness, and success!
What an amazing thing/gift to do for your Mother. She's going to love it. My grandfather, who was a carpenter, made my bookshelf when I was a little kid & I still have it & I will never depart from it ever. Great job Ana, Chris from Missouri
This is really great! I want to build my own bookcase with a deeper base as a work area and this not only inspires me but provides all the guidance to take on the project. Thank you so much for all you contribute, you make this world a better place, we need more people like Ana White, more builders and sharers and less complainers!
You are such a blessing to those of us who are beginner builders! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, tips & tricks, and even your mistakes. Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings.
I am just gonna add this the 'Ana White Folder' I have started to save all of your awesome videos! LOL!! I can't wait to build this in my new house! You are Empowering this Widow! I can do it! :) Thanks again Beautiful! Xx
thanks for the great tutorials, and for not skimming over the details. i got myself a pocket hole jig after watching your videos and i can't wait to start making stuff :)
WOW!! Great work. So nicely done. I've been wanting to build custom shelves for some time and after watching this video I think i'm going to go for it. Thanks, Ana!!
Thanks Ana! I just ordered from your Shelfhelpnow site and my order is arriving tomorrow. Thank you for making it easy!! Quick questions; - What glue are you using? - Do you have to primer before paint? - What kind of paint are you using?
I'm not sure if anyone suggested it already but if you're having difficulty with the crown molding options in AK, I would suggest you combine the base board with the crown you're using now, and make a frieze out of the two. You're right with the current crown looking too small, esp. compared to the base.
I love this. Shelf Help was such a good idea. I haven't checked it out yet but I love the idea. One thought was that it's probably expensive to buy. I'm so cheap I'm always trying to save on materials. BUT... I have a booth at a local antique mall. And I'm finding that the time it takes to process the materials myself is more valuable to be spent building so I can get more pieces made quicker. So I think this is going to be super helpful. And this shelving turned out great!
OH. MY. GOODNESS! WHY have you never come up on my feed before??? I am THRILLED! New subscriber here and THANK YOU for this video, because I am looking to build shelves in my new small home for a library and THIS was PERFECT!
I noticed you painted the plywood directly. Do you not need to prime first? I am getting ready to paint my bookshelves and would love to skip the primer if possible.
Love, love, love it! Will you please teach us how to build a built-in for existing openings on the sides of fireplaces? We have thick ugly drywall shelves and drywall fireplace mantel that we desperately need help to get rid of! Thanks in advance! 😀
Oh my goodness! The configurator is a godsend to a newbie like me! I've been wanting to build a desk height, 7 ft long bookcase for my craft room, but I've been dreading the math involved! You've just made my project a breeze! Thank you so very much!
I love your videos. I've been watching for a while. Finally found shelf help online, great website. I also have printed off a number of plans (or should I say my wife has). Thanks.
Thank you, I googled it and found it 😊. I’m going to attempt to make the corner bookshelf like the one in this tutorial. You should get commission from Kreg because I bought the k5 pocket hole jig thing lol because you make it look easy, I want to get the circular saw guide next 😊. Thank you for inspiring us all and making it not so scary to have a go 😊
Thank you so much for this video. We have been looking at your site and wondering how to build our own bookshelf. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you again.
Wow just found your channel today really really enjoyed it. Just one thing please get a radio microphone it lets down a professional looking programme. Just my opinion of course.
Nice book case, I plan on building one for my room for collectibles to go on, Awesome job looks great as it is, Mind sharing the cost of the build with us?? Thank You
Wonderful, lumber prices have changed so much since we built this. I would recommend taking the cut list and having it quoted through your local lumber store. Thanks for the visit. You could also use our shelfhelpnow.com service, here is a template shelfhelpnow.com/blogs/templates/frameless-bookshelf OR you can use the configurator shelfhelpnow.com/pages/shelf-configurator In the configurator you can add to cart to see what the cost is shipped directly to you!

very nice build as always... Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...
Thanks, you too!
Exactly what I needed! Quick question, you didn't seem to have used glue while assembling? Is it not required? Thanks a lot!!
The back was glued and nailed.
Glue would really add strength to the pocket holes which don’t bring a lot of strength.
It's beautiful.
Glad you think so!
Very beautiful what is your process for painting this and your kitchen cabinets
Yay, I’ve been waiting for you to make this 😊, thank you very much 👍. I need to make mine to go in a corner, any suggestions please?
Google "Ana White Corner Bookshelf" I have quite a few plans that will help!
Fantabulous love it
Love your work!

Love it! Would you be able to make plans for a craft station like the Dreambox?
Those are amazing, maybe some day!
Very nice. Much easier than learning SketchUp period is there a nailing spacing for the back six 12 in?
Beautiful Job! Wondering, do you have any video for closets that look like this?
We have multiple closet plans, I'd recommend googling "Ana White Closet", all my plans are free!:)
