I accidentally stumbled upon one of your "short" videos today so I binge watched all of those from the beginning and now I'm going to start watching the regular videos from the beginning starting with this "welcome" one. Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do lol. 😂 It's going to take some time for sure. Just wanted you to know that I have enjoyed every one that I've watched. 👍
i remember when i would sit at work watching vanlife vids...dreaming of having a van....the first thing i bought was a solar lucy light...fast forward 2 years...I now have a 2018 GMC Savana...she is getting built out...almost done....I am 61 yr old gal...dreams do come true...God bless
I'm 67 and I lived in my camper van for two and a half years and I loved it. I moved into a little trailer about three and a half years ago, but I'm going to be going back into van life and like you I need a shower!
I named my Honda CRV Popup. I named him that because in addition I also have a pop-up carsule cabin and it's like I pop up everywhere to camp and live 🐵
Hi I saw your channel and subscribed to it I loved it I'm from Midwest it's awesome you decided to make this channel I look forward to watching your past videos you awesome
Just watched your walmart video and now checking out how you got started. Subbed. Will probably play catch up later today. I, like you researched van life for 5 years, took the plunge and bought a pleasure way van and bought it. Cost me a ton, then had to put a ton into it and took our maiden voyage. Then I got cancer. It's been sitting dead in the driveway now for 3 years. My husband takes my 4 yo grandson camping in the driveway. Glad you are traveling. I hope to again someday.
I've watched a few RV retro projects and conversions, so no surprise when one of your vids popped up in my feed. I always like looking at the oldest content of new channels I find first, so here I am. I'm looking forward to catching up with what you've done so far. I can tell it'll be worth the time. New subscriber too.
I was late to the game watching your videos so I thought it would finally come back to the first one and check out your perspective. It's been a heck of a journey so far for you. Very impressive considering all of the different things you have to juggle in your life. 💪
Good for you, we had a van but it had problems so we up graded to a class C. When we did have the van a class B, we had the best getaway we ever had in it. We followed the Mississippi up one side and back down the other in the fall looking for color as I am a photographer. That one was Wanderlust 4 we now have #5, it’s alright but there’s just something about a Van 🚐. I am starting with your first video so I can follow your adventures. May your travel’s be Blessed! Later
Awww, thank you! And, how great to be a photographer and travel to take photos! I have just been on the road less than a month so it's been quite the adventure so far!
Hello, neighbor! Go and do it! I promise you won’t regret it. I left just in time before the snow started flying.😁 So happy to be missing winter this year❤️
I'm also 56 with a 19 yr old daughter. I wanted a van but bought a 2020 Winnebago Vita instead, I wanted more room. I'm not moving into it, it's just to travel in, but it's fun. :) I Look forward to watching your vlogs. :)
Your doing what I hope to do one day, before I get too old to do it! 58 last August. So hard to walk away from the very nice corporate postion I have though. But why earn until I am dead to leave to my kids? that does not sound like much fun!
Had to come to the beginning. Your story is so much like mine. I also thought of building a van out. But happened to find my road trek and it had everything. So much easier. Your channel has really interested me cuz I’m following in your footsteps
Hi, Doranda! Yes! I didn’t even know they existed until I went for a walk and saw one parked in a driveway and then looked them up! Soooo much easier! Welcome aboard. Can’t wait to hear a Minut your travels!
🙋🏽♀️I’m new to your channel and I’m looking forward to seeing where we’re going and what we’ll learn 😊💗. Yep I’m starting from the very beginning 🤗let’s roll 🚐
Hello Tracy. I just came across one of your videos the other day so thought I would start watching at the beginning. I been researching van life for about 5 years. Last year I found my van just before the pandemic started. It is a 2005 chevy conversion van with a high top. I gutted it out and built it out the way I wanted. I'm a jack of all trades type of guy and master at none. Anyway I like to watch all different perspectives ways of doing things. So when I have time I will be watching your videos. My plans for my van is more for traveling on trips. I want to see all that this country has to offer.
You won't regret seeing what it has to offer! I'm only two weeks in and I still can't believe how much is out there and what I've been missing. Thank you so much for the comment and support!!:-)
Looking forward to following along...I am trying to downsize and get on the road by the time I turn 50...which is a little over a year from now. Cheers!
You posted this on my birthday! I think this is a sign. I too am in MN. Minnetonka to be exact. Since the pandemic have been enamored with van/trailer travel. I am a native Texan who has friends all over. Widowed. Retired teacher. Grown kids. Legal senior citizen but don't feel like it. will definitely follow your story.
@@AdvanturesOver50 Hi! I am from Minnesota. Just found your channel yesterday. I bought a van last summer and planned to go on an adventure. Work got in the way and I did not go. I look forward to watching your vids and following your journey. :) I live in Blaine in a townhouse.
I just stumbled upon your video, A dream of mine is to become a van lifer and I have a good 10 years before my little one is gone. But you inspired me that. I’m not weird to want to do this when I become an empty nester. Most the van lifers I watch are young. So I just want to say Thankyou. You make me believe it’s possible❤️
thank you for sharing! And, it's totally possible AND you have the 10 years to save and plan for it! I've only been on the road for just over two weeks and I can't imagine going back to a sticks and bricks anytime soon at this point. There's so much to see out there! I'll be moving on from Sedona in about another week and can't wait to see what else I can find out there:-) Happy Thanksgiving!
This is awesome! Love your van. Did you sell your house before you decided to move in the van? Did you just on the wind decided to do of TH-cam channel? I love all your videos.
New subscriber here. One of your videos popped up and I wanted to start from the beginning. I am so interested in van life. Looking forward to your journey
Hi Tracy. I feel lucky to have found you. I'm also young at heart and over 50. I also recently started travelling full time. But it's in a 4X4 due to the topography of my area. I used to have a couple of home built cargo vans. You are very interesting to listen to.
Thanks, Mike! My girlfriend I’m staying with in Sedona also has a 4x4 and I’m helping her to figure out how to camp and set it up so she can do something similar. Thanks for the comment!❤️

Hello, Sonia! Thank you and congrats on following your heart to do this. I've only been on the road less than a month but I am so happy I took the leap and did it! Thank you for sharing your story!
Just found your channel! This is something I’ve thought about doing. I just got a shed home but at some point I hope to do van life! Paying a house note plus a car note is extremely overwhelming. I’m 63 and have went back to work part time to afford the house. Looking forward to following your journey
Hi Tracy! Just found your videos and I am over 50 as well. (Yikes, they warned us of this but making the best of it!) I've been wanting to do the van life and getting close to doing it! I'm in KY which is a beautiful state and I hope you come and visit. Find me if so! I have TH-cam channels this one and Kitty's Loo. Good on you for doing this and please be safe in your travels! I'm going to watch your other videos now. Hope to hear from you and look forward to your next video!
Interesting story of your beginning. I too have experienced that sandwich generation. I am also a single female traveler but I’m over 60 😋. Glad you found a van so close to fit your needs. Have fun making it your own. I found your channel from Lucretia @BURNIN’ UP THE ROADS. I’ll be watching more of your videos.
Hi Tracy! I'm pretty doing the same thing as you. I finished my van in August. My mom is 96, so I don't want to stray too far from home either, so it's little trips until Jan, when I'm going to the Gasparilla Pirate Festival in FL to meet up with some dog friends, some HS friends, and hopefully I'll go see Key West before Climate change takes it from us. Safe travels!
We have similar stories! So happy that you get to travel and live the van life, too. It’s so great and I’ve only been at it two weeks!😁 I love your name . . . Lola❤️
