I love the pattern they choose for the pixel color shapes. I don't think that would be easy to do IRL or very practical to manufacture. Looks very futuristic.
Star Citizen is truely insane! I'm following SC from the beginning and been playing it from time to time, but there was a Point when I was thinking it's a great Vision and I hope they can accomplish it, but there is kind of a delay after delay and thing didn't went as promised....but god damn, after the last CitizenCon....I'm all up hyped for it to to a bazilion percent...after what they showed, I truely believe they are up for the Task and will "finish" it ( if there would be ever a finished version ) into a great, enjoyable and playable ( FPS ) Game! *fingers crossed*
Do not wait, it is a waste of time Go in now, it is nuts what you can do already, i once fought an intense battle capital ship vs capital ship by dancing bridge vs bridge none knows who won. An other time i played a game of zero g basketball with a stranger by looting a wreck site. What happened recently ? I gotten imprisoned for carrying looted pirate corpses on my ship (and maybe blowing up the npc that scanned and reported me), tell me a game you can do this in, you'll hardly find any close. It is still a buggy alpha but if you can live with that you'll find a goldmine whose vein will soon almost explode. Ok those ain't the best examples but prooves it to be different from most ever presented.
funny thing; i went to call my ship to the hangar and was standing just close enough for the stands screen to fit mine and i thought there was something on my actual monitor but it was just some sort of smudge on the ingame screen but i couldn't even tell at first! threw me for a loop the first time
Everyone laughs that this game will never be done.....just you wait, in 10 years they gonna introduce Neuralink in Alpha patch 6.42.2, and y'all gonna be plugging into the matrix.
The first time i noticed it i was like YOU GOTTA BE FUUUUUCCCKKKIINNN KIDDIN ME ! The details are just nuts ... And screws, look once over your sholders when piloting a caterpillar, it is one screw head, it is that fucking hex on the outside and cross/phillips slot you know oh so well and have thought to be a good idea
Yes, this is a cool idea and does add detail but this isn't hard to achieve. It's more of a visual hack. The pixels you see when you're close are overlaid with proximity to the screen from player and ran completely client sided to not affect performance. The videos you want on the screen are actually made from thousands of pixels like your monitor.
Just shows you the "Details" in this game. We can complain about a lot of things in SC but NOT the graphics quality.
i didn't pay for this
@@Teber256 Alot of us did and still are

I literally just noticed that the other day. Insane!
I think it may just be an effect applied to the texture based on player camera distance. Still really cool detail though.
Yeah i saw a tutorial recently on how to make this effect, pretty cool. I like the pattern they choose for the pixels, very futuristic

its just a material shader effect that got a mask with the shape of a pixel that fades out the further away you are
My favourite useless piece of knowledge of the week, Thank you!
Happy to help!
when this game comes out i’m 100% gonna try it
you can alr play it its fun too
i hope you live that long
Better get it now. By the time the game "comes out" the starterpack prices prolly will be tripled. :)

Your children might play it when it releases some day in the distant future. You won't be still around.

nice!

And? What is the problem?
**Alpha Matrix
errr more like patch 3.126.2 with 4.0 right around the corner.
With sq42 out of the way, I think we will see updates rolling in faster.
yest, that's star citizen. Take a closer look on floor textures in Lorville ;) ( but do not check ur fps)

No fucking way
its all a simulation m8
This game will be so good when it finally gets released in 2953. It will start in the same year as the game storyline.
2042 ;)
