I switched to a galaxy years ago. Unlike my old iPhone, Ive never dropped a call and the battery pretty much lasts 2 days. Oh, and last summer I shot a commercial on it. It was on the A70 - mid range device and its still going strong. Samsung make products that last.
I had the 1st gen J7 phone. And it lasted me until early 2022. It started failing when it got submerged in a flood, though it still worked for a few months before eventually giving up.
Most phones can last quite well if you look after them
And the newer iPhones like the iPhone 14 have battery life better than the S23 I wonder why you all still keep hating Apple for no reason

I was an iPhone user forever, literally that's all I knew and I was certain it blew Samsung out of the water! I switched to Samsung when the S21 Ultra came out and now have the S22 Ultra. There is no amount of money you could pay me to leave Samsung fir an iPhone. The Samsung's are so much more enjoyable and SOOOO customizable! Samsung Galaxy ALL THE WAY BY FAR!!!

I guess, you are only TH-camr promoting S23 in a good way. Rather than concentrating on s23 ultra which eventually done later. Yes, you are right , not everyone is looking for top speed, big smartphone with big price tag. There are people who prefer a compact smartphone with all specs and Samsung s23 is standing tall on that list.

Samsung has S pen, Camera and a curved display to differentiate the Ultra model. Apple just uses the display and the camera to justify the pro phones.

I’ve been with iPhone since the iPhone 4 and I’ve seriously been considering on switching to Samsung for the last couple years, the only reason I haven’t yet is bc my whole family uses iPhones and I FaceTime theme with it often and also I’m just so used to the iOS layout at this point. I do think one ui looks cool and the overall design of Samsung phones
I whatsapp videocall with my family. Half of my family is on the Apple side and the other half is on Android side. 3rd party apps bring us together.
Well I can tell u this android phones have iMessage and there own FaceTime to just saying. But like u said it doesn’t work from iOS to android or vice versa

The iPhone 3, 4, and 5 were really good phones for there time, but Samsung phones are so much better, once you switch you will be kicking yourself for not switching sooner. Everything is just easier to use and functionality is so much better. Whenever I pickup an iPhone I get pissed off because of all the small limitations and inconveniences I didn't even realize existed.
My wife loves apple and she will never leave. So sending videos I’m stuck with iPhone. Don’t want to upload photos or videos of the kids on 3rd party to get good quality

I don’t understand their rants, i mean, samsung made innovations possible, and apple perfected it, yet, apple can’t make it perfect, if samsung hadn’t invented it in the first place, and samsung makes new inventions, because they were pressured by the fact that apple can make their inventions better. It’s a mutually beneficial loops. These two different brands are clearly targeting different target users, samsung phones are for people who wants to try new things, and apple products are for people who wants certainty in their phones for longetivity. I've been around enough iPhones. Liked the phones look and the way the system works. I just prefer unlimited customization and the extra things I can do, plus better camera operation. I've wanted to get iPhone for sometime but always stick to Samsung cause they have everything I ask for except no SD card expansion. But iPhone doesn't have that either. Rather be satisfied then wish for more with a iPhone.

I currently have iPhone and debated on switching back to Samsung. iPhones have cool feature but Samsung has stepped up a lot. I’m not super big on apple but wanted to try something new and I’m constantly worried about dropping my phone and breaking it.

Just wished they’d include the damn charging brick with the device. For the asking price, that should be mandatory. Super Fast Charging is utterly useless if you don’t have a charger for it. I know, they expect consumers to have one from a previous device. What about those getting this device for the first time. At least make it an option when ordering.

Samsung's new flagships are underrated on US market as usual.....i would love to say to Samsung to work more on ecosystem segment.
They can't afford to have an ecosystem. Apple does hardware, software, OS, and services. Samsung's agreement with Google is that they get OS updates yearly in exchange for Google doing the service side of things. The services are actually double the gross margin, so a much more profitable business. Because Samsung never invested the money and time to develop their own advanced OS they're stuck with this rather poor deal. Google makes out like bandits.
This is one of the big things that Steve Jobs implemented at Apple. Apple controls all of the strategic pieces in their ecosystem. Most people know Steve was a great product person, but far more important is Steve was a genius businessman.

For the last few years I've had both Apple and Samsung Flagships side by side and tbh they're both very good in their own right. My only issue with Apple has been that unsightly notch and my issue with Samsung has been how long it takes to get updates 🙄🙄

Due to newer versions being released,samsung is looking for something to improve such as security and other features so the updates take long...Also they preserve the newer versions because they want to make use of the new android update as much as possible. Apple on the other hand has full control over their chip,that's why most of the old iphones such as iphone 8 plus is still getting an update.

Not considering it until the reviews come out. An android phone with a powerful chipset but only 3900 mah battery is a recipe for disaster. People like to say Apple sheep are blinded by the brand and don't care about the specs well samsung fans ARE blinded by the specs and don't look at the phone's overall performance. You can't use all that features if the phone is in constant need of a charge! Battery degradation is still a thing. 1 year later and that 3900 mah will perform even shittier than before
I’m an iPhone user and I’d admit, the galaxy’s are my 2nd favorite kind of phone. If something ever happened to iPhones or Apple, id definitely switch to back to samsung. (I was a samsung user 9 years ago then switched to Apple)

The iPhone was really good back in like 2010 but it's crazy how much better Samsung phones are these days. I have been with Samsung since 2011 when the Note 1 first came out and have been ever since.
Samsung is just way better now, I am long time iPhone user. In Asia especially women love iPhone I dunno why, just because of the brand, now I am considering switch to Samsung

s22 ultra has s3.1 as well. Its true that they should've probably put the newer one. But its not a big deal. For me, a disturbing thing is 8gb of ram on s23 ultra. They did it with s22 ultra first, 8/128gb and now they continue with s23 ultra. I feel like noticing the 8gb of ram is easier than noticing 2-3 seconds of difference in ufs 3.1 vs 4.0. Not only its a flagship and all samsung android competitors are at 12gb of ram, but also if you buy a phone you probably gonna use it for a couple of years. How can you buy a flagship phone with 8gb of ram. My s10+ had 8 gb of ram in 2019. Its just sad. And if in s22 ultra it sucked, but at least you had an option to skip it by ordering a 256gb variant, and the price difference was not that big. S23 ultra offers only 256gb and 512 gb variants (im not taking into account 1to option, dunno who buys it). So this way samsung kinda forces you to buy the more expensive 512gb version, because 8gb of ram is clearly not enough for a flagship phone.

Apple is the only company that can do this and people will still buy their phones. In USA and many european countries, a lot of people only buys iPhones. Like they would rather have a iPhone 11 than the latest Samsung or Google.

It’s not that serious. I wonder to myself how many of the IPhone haters have actually used one. I was a Samsung junkie for years. I’d only buy the Note series phones, so a few years when they didn’t release a new one I switched to the 13 Pro Max. They said I was crazy, but absolutely no regrets. I don’t have live wallpapers, but that’s not what I buy a phone for so…..
Where's the bias tho? The s23 is objectively better than the iphone 14/plus with how much apple ruins the base models in orders to make their "pro" models seem more attractive. Your experience with a pro max iPhone is worthless here since Apple puts actual effort in those models.
Apple want people to get the Pro model...simple really. Samsung listened to the fans. The Snapdragon 8 gen 2 for Galaxy, made for Sammy phones or at least the one on these three models is. The vanilla variant is more pocketable too for those people who dislike big phones. I wouldn't worry about Sammy...they sell many phones especially in Europe because they do offer a vast array of phones.
I'm going to buy the Galaxy 23 Ultra.

Every Apple user knows that the software experience is not good compared to Android, and you literally need to google to do anything on the phone. But no one admits that - because, hey it's Apple.
And GOOGLE developed Android OS. Funny how it all is in the GOOGLE ecosystem!

@Rennie Ash Isn't that a surprise? But my point was that the options and settings are not difficult to understand in Android. For example, I don't have to figure out the back button for each app when I am using it. Or don't have to enter my card details to download free Apps from store. Or even enable App download, you have to enable a switch in the settings in iOS. I am all for privacy, but this was torture to me 😅.

I love my black Galaxy S23 (256 GB). Battery lasts forever & it veryyy quick. Bought when it first came out, worth every penny. Wont have to upgrade for another 5-8 yrs

I mean most people cant tell any of the differences you just listed. What they can tell is how much smoother the iphone software is and how much longer it lasts. Even the iphone Xr is still silky smooth cant say the same for the samsung released in that year
I like my iPhone, tried the galaxy but iPhones just did more for me.
Just switched from my S10+ 1Tb to a regular S23 256gb, the storage is a pain but overall there is no switch back, the smaller size, the haptic and 120hz is so goo'd, but the low storage on smaller sized flagship phone is ridiculous
