- What happens when you pre-bait a river with boilies and pellets in Autumn? This is what we're looking at in todays video. This session I placed a camera into the river and baited the swim then filmed it over the course of an hour, so we could get an insight into what goes on down there. As you can tell from the thumbnail its pretty interesting stuff, so I hope you guys enjoy it! From perch to chub to barbel to ducks we capture it all in 2k.

hi chris , would love to see this again but with spam as bait (only spam) to see if the fish react differently. you could experiment with cubes of spam and rounded balls of spam to see if the fish are more spooky to the cubes. would be interesting to see!

A friend of mine was fishing on a local lake for carp....and where he was fishing it was 18 meters deep.
Somewere in the night he heard two beeps on his bite alarm and nothing more...
In the morning he was realing in and ot was feeling heavy....and a koot was on the hook....it dove 18 meters down and hooked itself...

I’ve had barbel mouthing baits before they sit there with it in there mouths kinda tasting it took me ages to work out weird bites . Nice one 👍

Very nice bit of filming there Chris, a lot of people don't know how much goes in to making video's, they think you just turn the camera on and done , it's takes longer to do the editing then it does to do the fishing some times, well done Thank you 👍👍

Fun fact, Chubb love boilies, when ever I go carp fishing the lake has been stocked with cbubb to over 5lbs and there is many of them, just gets demolished

Very interesting underwater footage there Chris - now I think I know why many Chub bites are just rattles or plucks on the rod tip as they seem to 'mouth' baits before taking them into their mouths properly. Barbel, on the other hand, seem to engulf mouthfuls before ejecting any 'unwanted' items. Thanks for sharing and perhaps demonstrating something I've wondered about for many years 👍👌.
I've only just found your message and suprised at winning something but, as much as i love fishing I'm 71 years old and riddled with arthritis so would be unable to enjoy the prize. @@gee3883 I'm sure the 'prize draw' might have caught out some other recipients of the 'message'. Looked official enough but with a slight change to the account holder's 'handle' so I was suspicious. A little bit of research indicated it was probably a 'bot' enticing account holders to do whatever these 'bots' are designed to extract from unsuspecting users. If I'm wrong then apologies to the 'Ginger Fisherman'

Very interesting Chris , great duck attractor as we all know , if they see the bait . But in General attracting a mixed bag of fish. Spam or luncheon meat might have been a better result ( in small cubes ) Great video and Great Angling mate 👍

Brilliant to see the difference when you pre bait a swim. Could you try one with deadbait or fish chunks for pike I would be interested to see what happens.

Very interesting how the chub attacked the boilies. The perch were there the whole way through. The go-pro didn’t spook the fish and the duck didn’t put them off for long. Surprising but valuable footage. I’d like to see similar on a Stillwater.

I caught my 16th duck today on my local lake it’s took around 6 yrs to catch that many💪🏻impressive angling if I don’t say so my self lads. 😂 I just need a swan to complete to collection and become the complete angler. 🎣💯❤️

Yea it gets heavily fished they're definitely used to man made baits
