Well Mark, you do do a proper troubleshooting ... as said before, won't be long before other N51 owners will call you when they experience difficulties.... Again - such a scenic episode, Amalfi is very beautiful, but so is so many other small Italien coastal towns..... it really is fabulous to follow. BTW many believe the pizza was invented in Naples (Napoli) the Napolitana, and this gave way to all other pizza's later on. A very beautiful episode, and nice to see Fiona trying to make the boat ready for your onward journey! Thank you
You have to love the long range boats that cables instead of electronics for the engine controls. I’ll take them any day and never worry. So stabilizers are so nice but you can’t beat a gyro at anchor and the smaller the boat the better they are all around. So nice to just putter around a pay a fortune for a tea bag. Order hot water and bring your own bag.😀 what a tourist rip off.. what else to expect at Amalfi. What a nice job you are doing with the photography. You are rounding into a pro just like you were on the Jumbo’s. Some skills are a total carry over between the two. Radar nav planning etc. long stints watching and monitoring. You fit right in to traveling around the world in water instead of air. Nice Job Mark. Glad you two came a mutual understanding to let each be where ever suits them. No harm no foul understandings with personal freedom to do…..nice to you both.
Certainly learning a great deal which I will always be happy to pass on to others. One thing I have learnt - boats new like used always need attention.
We had to laugh when we saw the organizing box, we have the identical situation onboard. I know where everything is, but she wants to have everything organized and as a result I don't know anymore where everything is. 😀 That 'rescue vessel' that you saw is what we call the immigrant ferry. There are a few operating in the area, they cooperate more or less with the human traffickers. The traffickers send the migrants on dinghy's into the sea, then make a radio call and these so called rescue ships go and pick them up, bring them to Italy. Has been going on the years now, many people want it to stop, so now slowly the EU is turning around. Many countries now want the same set up as Australia has. Glad to see you have the AP sorted out, once you get the stabilizers back online you will be ready to go. Does AB Trac already have software for on anchor ? If you would then have a hydraulic pump you could run them while at anchor, I can tell you from experience (electric fins) that it is a game changer. Hope you were following the news, the Spanish coast has been hit hard and maybe unsuitable for a stop over in the coming weeks and perhaps months.
Hey great comment. So much to digest. Just arrived in Nice. Will take my time heading down the coast and see how things go. AP did same crazy circles coming here last night. Very frustrating. Always in a beam or quartering following sea. Going to tackle Garmin.
@@AwanuiNZ that is a pretty dangerous situation with the AP, don't want to have that happen in a storm off shore. Hope Garmin can help you figure this one out. Good luck, stay safe.
Those steps were worn. Not by millions of people but by people over time. Lots of time. Great being in the Bay of Naples when its not pyroclastic flow season.
Hey guys hope you're having a great time I think you should replace your standard horns with a set of cruise ship horns I think that you announce your presence pretty good
It did let go in Heading Hold again the other day in a following sea but working perfect in Track. I may just do again but slightly faster speed when in super smooth water.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a friend who has owned a Fleming for 4 years (his 3rd Fleming) and nothing seems to go wrong with his boat, so wondering why all the issues.
If nothing else they are easy to replace…believe it or not ABT wanted me to send the faulty box to the US to see if it could be repaired and returned….go figure Martin

Hey no problems we very much enjoyed that part of Italy.

Hey Deane great to hear from you and thanks for your comments…all taken on board

Ok
Nice bit of helmmanship sir - glad your slowly getting all the gremlins sorted. 👍
Thanks 👍
There’s a similar hole in the rock in the Bay of Islands NZ, you’ll have to thread the needle when you take Awanui home one day!
Not sure I could resist!
Another great video, glad you got everything sorted out, 🥃🏴
Yip…actually feeling like I am getting on top of things…thanks
Love following your journey and adventures! Inspirational!
Thank you so much we love making each episode
Just think of how much your experiences will help others. You’ll have it all figured out.
Certainly learning a great deal which I will always be happy to pass on to others. One thing I have learnt - boats new like used always need attention.
Great video.
Thanks!
Once again a great video Mark thank you.
No problem…it took a lot of editing this time….had way too much footage!

Nice one well sorted.

Indeed…tried to avoid that

Haha cool idea. You not been around for a while? Have not had many comments from you recently.
Anyone watching that calibration must have wondered what on earth was going on! Glad it’s sorted

So many technical gremlins on a brand new boat. Is this normal?
Love your videos!

Mainly minor issues with third party product…do feel we have been a little unlucky.
@@DoctorPropertyMaybe they have not told you….would love to know
Glad you got auto pilot sorted . . 👍
💐👍👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Bloody thing let go again in Heading Hold the other day. For some reason it does not like following seas. Rock steady in Track mode which is cool
@@AwanuiNZ hmm did you adjust the Gain settings in the autopilot as we suggested in last video? Petter
Great video! What does Garmin say about the auto pilot issues? Hopefully they are trying to be helpful.
They are useless
electronic boxes are a constant problem in boats, cars, industry, rockets, why why

Mark what she's trying to say is she knows the yacht is gonna be a total record she comes back and she's just trying to nip some of it in the bud
Sorry bit confused about your comment….not much sleep last night
@@AwanuiNZ Not record The word was wreck
😮
Thank you
