Hi, I liked your video , very informative. I wonder why some people are going on about it being too long. I think its nice that you take your time to explain little things which a novice DIYer would not know by default. I find all your information very useful and like your calm and engaging way of explaining things.
Excellent video! I skipped through the removing/sanding bit as I've fitted new boards to reasonable straight walls. You also saved me investing in a profiling tool, I have plenty of fingers to use instead 😅
Thanks so much, this is has explained everything perfectly! I loved the detailed explanations and the video was in no way too long. I also liked the product recommendations. I’m about to start decorating my lounge so these have really helped me
Cheers for this really handy video Justin, I also just subscribed to your channel. You've explained everything here so clearly, just the ticket as I've got a long weekend of caulking skirtingboard ahead of me! 😅
Hello, great video thanks for sharing with us. Could you please let me know which is the best coulk that I need to use around my stairs skirting board to fix those cracks around. Thanks

I am watching this video on silent so the husband doesn't hear so I can start painting our skirting boards because I love doing diy jobs on the house but he always takes over because I have no idea what I'm doing anyway this may be a dumb question and you may or may not have mentioned it here but is there specific skirting board paint or do you just use normal wall paint? I know there are different types of paints for ceilings, bathrooms etc so thought I should check first. TIA
Hi just wondering I’ve got old skirting board I have stripped the gloss off to Bear-wood going to put satin would oil based paint on do I need to primer first thanks

At last I have found some decent videos to share with my P&D students. A good help thanks especially as at the moment I can only do online teaching
Cheers Kevin, much appreciated. In the next hour or so I'll be publishing my "how to paint a room" video, check it out 👍

Thank you for this video, really helpful
Thank you! Great video
do you caulk then paint or paint then caulk? - great help thanks!
Paint then caulk, as you can paint over caulk should you wish.
great video. would you say that the caulking finish should be more square unlike silicone eg around a bath which is concave?
So, you recommend pulling caulk (backward), rather than pushing it (forward)?

thanks man. Any of the mentioned will hold spiders back, unless they're eating the stuff!!??

For skirting boards you tend to use gloss paint but I prefer satin xx

Yes definitely. Primer/undercoat first 👍
Can you not just chalk into the gaps without removing old chalk
It took 17 minutes to show us
Rounded caulking thats been fingered in is the bain of a painter and decorators life.... Should be squared off not rounded.
Good information, but way too long.
Great tutorial but too long, 3 mins would have been more than enough
Engaging but too long on the video, an element of over explaining comes across.
Pure crap
Why is it "pure crap"?
