Meet SnoHawk 10, the Bell UH-1H Plus 703 Huey that is operated by the Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue Air Operations Unit. This beautifully restored helicopter has been with the team for many years and has gone many extensive upgrades. The latest of which took place in 2011, when it was completely stripped down and rebuilt as the helicopter you see today, thanks to the amazing folks at Northwest Helicopters, Inc. in Olympia Washington. Other upgrades were done through HeliPros in Bellingham, Washington as well.
Some of these upgrades include the Boundary Layer Research (Paine FIeld, Washington) Fast Fin and Strake kit, Bell 205 tail boom, Bell 212 Tail rotor/gearboxes, and the more powerful Lycoming T53-L703. Some of the more significant upgrades took place inside the cockpit as well, featuring dual Garmin G500H's, an NVG-friendly cockpit, and FAST bucket equipped for fighting fires. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

That extra hp would have come in handy on a D model in the highlands in 1967. Beautiful ship. A great compliment to these rugged, venerable birds.
A very enjoyable, interesting and informative summary in a well put together film, of a superbly adapted helicopter, workhorse of the skies, and of the methods and capabilities for search & rescue and fire suppression.

Last time I checked, German WWII aircraft looked nothing like this! Haha. That Huey is very nice though! I love the distinctive sound they make! Great video as always good sir! 😁

I'm anxiously watching the weather, hoping we don't get rained out tomorrow... of course, we have WEEKS AND WEEKS of beautiful sunshine... and then the weekend of the fly days we get the rain. :-/ But, I can't really complain, even if we do get rained out, because half the state is on fire right now.
Hopefully the fire's will get put out soon! Here in Oklahoma, back in May we had record rainfall this year! Can't wait for the German video from ya! 😁

Many mods added, very nice looking aircraft ! Oh, where can I get a sticker from snomish county that would be very neat ?? I worked with Eurocopter helicopters for about 15 years, Lamas and Alouette II/III.
