Nice to see a realistic PC Build video. Just replaced my 3060 with a 4070 Super and had no idea about the new power connector. Man, seriously, I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Today I have built in my very first PC at 32 years old. I’m an old school CS player and I wanted to get back into gaming and so forth. I’m a married man and a dad so this building time it has been amazing cause it has distracted me a bit haha. Otherwise, thank you for your help I just finished installing the drivers l. ( I had to do a Q FLASH PLUS) it worked and now I’m good to go. Thank you

This was extremely helpful when I built my new gaming pc for the first time. I only had a 5 year old pre-built laptop, but I thought it would be nice to try picking parts for myself. The only snag I hit was when installing Windows where it didn't want to install on any of the M2 drives I put in. I had to look elsewhere to format the drive to continue.
I love watching these build guides I built my first pc last year following along to your video it really helped me a lot and I enjoy that PC and am planning on building pcs and selling them when I upgrade to a new pc
36:26 Molex connector is not for floppy disk drives, you don't pinch to install, you pinch to help you remove it, not all of the molex connector have those "pinchy" ejectors.
I just got my last part for my first pc build last week. I felt like the luckiest person in the world when your vid came out the next day. Let you know if my first build goes great :D
updating the BIOS is an important step, last night I had a terrible time with an older system. I bought a prebuilt CyberpowerPC the previous owner had taken completely apart to clean before realizing they didn't know to put it back together. it has a Ryzen 7 3700X and RX 5700 XT, when I put it together I used a NVME from an HP prebuilt but it was only 256GB, so I ordered a Crucial P3 3rd gen. After installing the new NVME the system wouldn't post, and was giving a VGA debug light, I banged my head against the wall and as soon as I put the old drive in it booted. I had started the RMA process, but decided to try a BIOS update as a hail Mary, and it worked. I had a very similar issue replacing the SATA SSD that went bad in my brothers PC recently, he had never used an NVME in it, Windows would not install to it, updated the BIOS and it worked perfectly.
Thank you Austin! I just built my first PC thanks to you mostly and a couple other channels for more intricate rgb cabling lol but you got me through it all. I really appreciate you dude! My first boot was a success and updated bios and everything was successful. No issues. For my first time..I gotta say I'm pretty proud of myself haha 😅 the stress was killing me and anxiety but I made it through! Tysm!!!!
even though this will probably be lost to the void of the internet. I just want you to know that, Your videos taught me how to build PCs 9 years ago, i will forever be grateful for you and these videos. Thanks so much Austin for all the years of knowledge. You were the first person to teach me that i can teach myself.
Holyyy wow Just finished building my first PC! what a friggin journey Lol Couldn't had done it without my local Micro Center and your help Austin. Big W! Cheers!
Awesome job on the explanations of what things are and what they do. Great guide for first time builders. One thing I would say is if you do throw away your boxes, make sure to cut out and keep the serial numbers for warranty purposes. I have only had to RMA like 3 things in the past 20+ years but I was thankful that I had those serial numbers. Also, even though it can be a pain, register your stuff if possible. I have seen friends fight with an RMA because they didn't have a proof of purchase and the manufacturer used the date the item was made and not the purchase date. Again great video!
Built my first PC in 2019 following a tutorial from ol’ Austin. This is much more in-depth. Definitely follow along! Back then he said the case doesn’t matter, could be a cardboard box (Austin, in fact has built computers out of cardboard) but he puts more emphasis into it now. I agree! I cheaper put on the case and, though the system was fantastic, I had to stare at what looked like a disappointment on the outside. Get a case you like.
One thing missing from the BIOS section is actually tuning your fans. Mine were really loud after building my PC. They were set to full all the time, and finding out you can tune your fans so they don’t sound like a jet engine.
Great tutorial. as someone whos built PCs for 2 decades now, don't mess with anything in the BIOS until you've installed windows. If theres instability you'll bork your windows install. Not a big deal but this beats having to do it twice.
I've got 2 builds both using a 4090 and never had any issues with using the 12v cable the psus came with, you just need to make sure there is enough length on the cable so it can be seated in the socket properly with only a very minimal amount of bend.
Woah, it's 2024, which means I've been watching your videos for 10 years. I originally found you from someone sending me your photon build, and that was the basis for my first ever PC. I just rewatched that video for a nostalgia trip. She still serves me today after thousands of hours and having every part upgraded multiple times, still all AMD. It's been a great ride watching you all this time and I hope you continue with educational and entertaining content! Thanks for your videos
Hey man, thanks for this video, because this could come in handy if i ever wanted to make some money. Although its a long process, but thank you for this video!
I have had a 80 Bronze for a decade now with zero issues. Also been cooling my 8 core 16 thread cpu with a 120mm AIO cooler without temp issues. Save money where you can though I can't speak for using a White rated power supply. Also what your monitor can display should influence your build unless you intend on upgrading sooner than later. Having an over powered build is going to create an ich that eventually leads to you spending hundreds more on a display that let's you push its performance
Ordered all my PC parts gonna be building my first PC and use this entire vid for building it outside of the fan since its different nervous, but looking forward to it!!!!

My two cents. The easiest way to find where everything on the motherboard is, is to just take a picture of it with your phone. You can always refer to it. Wear gloves and don't stand on a rug when assembling your PC. Great video, direct, right to the point, no BS. Thank You
Gloves are overkill but agreed on the rug part. You dont want to create static and kill your mainboard :D
Is carpet ok?
I didnt "need" this video, already built my first pc, but this autoplayed and I watched the first 10 minutes and I can already say this is a solid guide!! Great information here.
When is “How to Build a Gaming PC with all Components Purchased on Temu” gonna drop? 🤓
💀
fr that would blow up like a samsung💀
(it would be intriguing)
Watching this in preparation for my first build in 2 or 3 days. 4080 super and 7900 x3d. Wish me luck yall
Thanks Austin! I’m looking into building my pc. This gives me so much confidence!!❤
Phenomenal tutorial! I was able to build a PC in about 4 hours with my 8 year old and 12 year old daughters. Austin, you are a true professional! Through, entertaining, energetic, and knowledgable beyond compare!
I wish we had a Micro Center here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Or at least, I wish it would open sooner. There's a Micro Center opening in Q4 2024 at the old Bed Bath & Beyond on Stevens Creek Blvd. in Santa Clara.
Damn you guys are lucky. I live about an hour from Sac and my town only has a terrible Staples.
Dang I’m 3.5-4 hours from one
I live 20 minutes from my local one in Cambridge Massachusetts. I'll be going by tomorrow to do my parts pick for my first build after decades of console use.
Thanks to this tutorial I built my second ever gaming pc, and I must say it was very informative because last time I built my computer was 2019 and lots of things have changed since then! Ive been watching your videos for a long time, so when I saw this this video got uploaded I knew I had to save it to use later. Thanks!
Casually drops a 3 hour long video
I bought all the components to build my first PC this morning and this video came in clutch! It took me a while to finish it, but it was my first time so its okay. Its funny that I have seen many videos like this in the past even when I wasn't planning on building a PC at the time lol
i’ve been waiting for this since the start of 2024 😅. I love your work and how helpful you are, keep going austin we will keep watching ❤. (I better not see a “I have some news” video 😡)
Austin is the most genuine TH-cam computer-building guide. With this kind of exhibition, everybody with enthusiasm for PC build will eventually build an awesome PC. Keep it up!
Trust me, the small hole will accommodate the big peg if you push it hard enough.
This was super helpful, thank you! I hadn't built a pc in over a decade but this brilliant tutorial gave me the confidence to put together a nice gaming box in a couple of hours with no issues whatsoever. It POSTed first try and everything is recognized and all the fans and panel switches/LEDs are working with all the cables nicely routed and secured. But I forgot I didn't have a USB keyboard and mouse so I'm stymied updating BIOS and installing Windows until tomorrow.
Bro was yappin most of the video I'm tryna build a pc 😭😭
All that “yapping” was important information and things to look out for😂 thick numbskull
Did u build the pc or no?
Don't think he was yapping tbh. I think he was just trying to get into all the details and yeh, but if your attention span is really low, maybe this isn't the video for you lol
@@MoxValo3 hour video on building a pc but I have a low attention span I watched a different video 10 mins long and that helped me more than this dude yapping for 3 hours
Bro you literally saw the video duration(still clicked on it)and you're looking for help because you don't know what you're doing..I don't really think you're in position to criticize a video but you did anyway for whatever reason.
I love these tutorials man I have to say when I got my custom pre built this made me realize I should have built my own and your last intel build vid started a monster I went from a custom pre build of a 13700kf 3060 16gb of RAMM to HIGH END build not a single piece of my PC not even a single piece from the custom pre built is a part of my main PC 14900k 128gb RAMM 4070 ti super THANK AUSTIN!!!! for helping me find a true passion (expensive one cough cough) I love building them and learning about them again THANK YOU!!!!!! keep these going hope more people pick it up from watching these
One thing for the standoffs, if you have something like an iFixIt kit, you can use the 5 mm socket to install/remove them.
Respect for making an 3 hour video on how to build a pc in 2024 😄i alwyas enjoy watching/listening to u so this is like a gift
I also built my PC from your 2020 build and still strong. Thank you 👍🏾
I would like to thank you very, very much Austin. I watched this video dozens of times while i was waiting to get all the pieces for my very first pc, and then just yesterday, after the last couple of pieces arrived, i managed to assemble it and everything went perfectly.
It was an awesome experience and i'm so happy about the results.
Again, thank you so much for the video, for how great you are explaining how to do things and for your energy!
Just built my first gaming pc from scratch using this guide! Thanks for all the help!
I recently built a pc last year in December and I was watching your 2023 PC Built Tutorial on how to built one. Thank you Austin for the amazing help 😌👌
hi austin. Am from India.
I love PCs and tech. Had seen PC building before but none of them explained in such depth and in such easier way. I dont think i ve ever watched a 3 hr long video which is outside the scope of my field of study. Thank you so much for the effort you have put in the vid and the way u do it makes us love doing pc buidling.
Thanks a lot again. You inspire me to keep loving these stuff and tech in general.
btw this is my first video watching you build it. Popped randomly in my feed and for once am thankful to the algorithm
I was just looking up pc stuff and builds knowing nothing about pcs, and was scared to build it myself and was gunna pay someone to do it. But I think I’m confident to do it myself now. Thank you so much. Love the walk through
Man, seriously, I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. Thank you
plan on making my first pc soon and found this video incredibly helpful. helped ease my anxiety on spending a chunk of money and messing it up. thank you.
Thank you so much for doing these tutorials for four years!! I got interested in computers when I came across your 2020 vid! Thank you.
I just got my last part for my first pc build last week. I felt like the luckiest person in the world when your vid came out the next day. Let you know if my first build goes great :D
Austin helped my build my PC last year. This video is even better. Even more detailed. I love it!
updating the BIOS is an important step, last night I had a terrible time with an older system.
I had started the RMA process, but decided to try a
BIOS update as a hail Mary, and it worked. I had a very similar issue replacing the SATA SSD that went bad in my brothers PC recently, he had never used an NVME in it, Windows would not install to it, updated the
BIOS and it worked perfectly.
Tysm!!!!
I'm 'bout to end this man's whole career.
Built my first computer ever. Thank you for making it so straightforward. Your video is incredibly helpful. Thank you!
even though this will probably be lost to the void of the internet. I just want you to know that, Your videos taught me how to build PCs 9 years ago, i will forever be grateful for you and these videos. Thanks so much Austin for all the years of knowledge. You were the first person to teach me that i can teach myself.
Built my first PC today using this tutorial with no issues! you the man Austin! i cheered with ya at the end
Holyyy wow Just finished building my first PC! what a friggin journey Lol Couldn't had done it without my local Micro Center and your help Austin. Big W! Cheers!
Thanks for this I’m building my brother a pc this weekend and having this as a refresher (haven’t built a pc in a few years) has been very helpful
Tomorrow I'll be building my first PC in 17 years:) and this video is exactly everything that i need. Thanks man!
Thank you man i am 11 years old and i love gaming and i wanna build a pc i am not even half way through the video and it is great.
You know its a good tutorial when my pc successfully boots first try on my first ever build. Amazing video 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Having an over powered build is going to create an ich that eventually leads to you spending hundreds more on a display that let's you push its performance
ive seen him making builds like this since 2020.. great that he still makes tutorials
Ordered all my PC parts gonna be building my first PC and use this entire vid for building it outside of the fan since its different nervous, but looking forward to it!!!!
yo austin idk if youll ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you, there was so many things that I didnt know when it came about checking specs, changing settings, and where to plug stuff in. I found this video more than helpful and I just wanted to say thank you ❤
Can’t upvote this video enough! Built my first pc thanks to your help from this video. Best pc tutorial I’ve come across. Thank you!!
I have the same motherboard, ram, and processor bundle and also bought it from micro center, I am 13 years old and let me say, that micro center is awesome!
Your 2023 tutorial made me want a pc now I’m saving up thank you
I appreciate the clarity of your communication
2:33:33 the yellow color GPU connector is a safety measure after the melting connectors drama. The Idea is, after connecting it to the GPU you won't be able to see the yellow color, otherwise it's not properly connected.
thank you for showing installing windows via the USB..i know it saeems dumb but no one showed it with that before..so that helped me a bunch
Thanks Austin I’m currently saving for parts, very helpful ❤
It’s raining outside, and I fell asleep watching this. It was great. Thank you!
Wasn't aware Logic The Rapper had so much computer knowledge and his own TH-cam channel
Never built apc but learning. Great instructions, entertaining and good editing. Ty!
I used your 2023 guide to build my first pc and I was looking foward to this video
Honestly helped me heaps! I am building my pc in the next few weeks as buying parts weekly 🎉 going to watch this a few times so I’m ready 🤣
XDDD
DDD

Elite video. I watched this video, along with others to help me pick my parts for my first pc build. This was the primary video i watched in building said pc. I learned so much about the way everything works. Everything works as intended! Thanks for this.
Just argb connectors are pesky. Got two of 3 of them up and running, the last one is giving me the blues. 😅
