Lightning Returns Aeronite (Hard Mode) speedrun setup

This is how I kill Aeronite in Hard Mode during a NG+ DASH speedrun. This fight was done on Xbox 360 but the PC strategy is very similar. The only difference is having to potion tank Megaton on console and using only 1 Deprotect/Imperil after the 4th stagger.
Quiet Guardian: Preta Hood, Forsaken Tie, Chaos Revenge, Ghostly Bloom, Thundara, Deprotect Lv. 4, Imperil Lv. 1, Cute Bunny Ears (Optional for style)
Velvet Bouncer [~6,500str]: Fighter's Emblem+, Kikuichimonji, Dragoon Gauntlet, Runic Ring, Deshell/Deprotect with Deprotect Chaser, Light Slash Lv. ★, Aerora
Midnight Mauve: Chaos Revenge, Ghostly Bloom, Collector Catalog

hahaha it took me many weeks preparing for this battle. I'm a physical attacker so my strategy is WAAAY different, most of the time i try to parry his attacks

I actually beat this on my first play through of the game on my first cycle. I figured out that you can break the games damage scale by using the hunters jab. I had one phenix wing & feather and a bunch of eithers I found in the temple. I staggered it and jabbed it in chronostasis until I ran out of juice. Than I drank eithers and repeated until it died.

I played the first 2 and its nothing like this! This game doesn't use ATB because your attacking countless times, is it status effects on the enemies or something.

What are the differences between the console and PC port? Is console Aeronite stronger?

The only difference, other than the frame rate, is that you have to tank Megaton Break differently on console. When Aeronite starts flying, you'll take a lot of damage on console whereas on PC it won't damage you as long as you stay at the edge of the battlefield. In the video, I tanked it using the Nektar of the Gods since tanking attacks with recovery items reduces damage heavily (Lightning would have died otherwise).

@@mariodoccia6129 Nothing super major generally-speaking, but the lower frame rate can make some fights more difficult. For example, you lose out on 1 Blitz when fighting Noel due to that. Square-Enix also fixed the debuff resistance on PC so whenever enemies have *some* resistance you'll need to cast a debuff twice.
