I just wanted to say thank you. I tried your garb set up, although with different weapons and shields and I substituted with Aerora/Thunder/Thundaga and I beat him. Staggering him was a bit of a struggle but I had an ether so it was all good. After the 4th stagger he was an easy kill

3:10 Hellflare is a nightmare to deal with but it is survivable. It's tricky though as surviving requires Defaith on A and a perfect guard. High health doesn't hurt either. Good news is in this particular showing you didn't have any buffs to lose.

By following ur strategy, i managed to beat aeronite on my first playthrough Normal mode. with 1800 atk and 1600 magic, 6 ether and 3 phoenix wing. Doesn't even need to use attack boost like hero potion. Thank you
It works. Just 5 starred him at 7 minutes, 20 seconds. Took a few tries of practice just to get the timing down of magic, schemata switching and guarding. Only thing i would add is the thorn of speed is useless (60 seconds of haste) for such a long fight. i equipped a collector catalog so i wouldnt have to worry about my buffs at the end wearing off.
I finally did it! I couldn’t stagger it just with thunders... Instead, I used Ruin in the 1st dress, Thunder in the Miqote dress, and Aerora in the last dress. It took me 9 minutes, and all the ethers I had... I only scored 1 point 😅
this took alot of practice for me +6 Pheonix Downs to get it right, My issue was staggering, and the megaton break. after learning your method i decided to improve apon instead of the Soldier of Peace, i used Spira's Summoner (DLC garb) or could use a High Magical Elementa Set. So after the Staggering, Deshell + Imperil (basic combo) +Elementa and ALOT of Overclock +2 ethers for me in addition to the whole staggering... his life bar was going so fast down, i was like "Holy shit"
I can get him to the 4th stagger, but I can never do enough damage. My Artemis arrows does very minimal damage. It only does about 42k each time and takes up 60% of my overclock bar. My Magic Slash does 31k damage. I am on day 7 (6 Days left) , before completing the final storyline, but after completing Dead Dunes (so no Fang). I can get him down to about 20% HP, before I run out of overclock/items and he uses Fed Up. I even space my overclock's out so I am maximizing Overclock filling my ATB bars. I am running the following schemata (Anything with "/"s, I've played with switching between the two): Soldier of Peace Flesh Render/Buster Sword Guardians Protector Fighter's Emblem/Demon Earrings Enlister's Gloves Fira, Beatdown, Steelguard, Shadowbind Miqo'te Dress Battleaxe of the Believer/Flesh Render II Nome Della Rosa/Aegis Shield Soul of Thamasa Guard Glove/Healer's Lore (to maximize ethers) Aerora, Deshell, Mediguard, Magic Slash Quiet Guardian Chaos Revenge Mog's Shield/Aegis Shield Preta Hood White Strap Thundara, Imperil, Heavy Guard, Deprotect I don't have some of the items you use, such as Warrior Hunter's Mask or Noblessa Veronique. Anyway, I used flamestrike to staggered it 4x, guarding against physical attack at the moment the claw strikes, to make it more challenging... First playthrough, Normal difficulty, almost gave up... But yeay, beat Aeronite silly! Good job beating Aeronite!
***** It is a tough one... I used up all my Ether... Turbo Ether... Phoenix... Hi-Potion... Nektar of Gods Omega... EVERYTHING... and I just barely made it... Perhaps it will be easier to beat it on NG+... 1st time I staggered Aeronite, Artemis Arrow does like 50k damage? I can't even get its HP down half... 2nd battle with Aeronite, using Nektar, I managed to damage Aeronite around 150k - 200k per hit... And it got fedup and flew away... My 3rd battle with Aeronite, I did exactly the same except I swap schemata and use Magic Slash which deal like 100k damage per hit... Right when Aeronite wanted to stand up... I manage to defeat it... Another 5 seconds, it would had flew away... Sheeeshhh... No more... No more re-battle with Aeronite...

+Siggon De Tank Not necessary but for your first playthrough, during the Day 10-13 window, it is probably the strongest weapon, especially for Aero abilities. - Claire
Thanks, beat him after 2 tries. First try I got him to the last stagger stage but couldn't beat him before he flew away. Second try I used some enaero(?) potions and beat him.

This just doesn't work for me and I don't understand why. I have the same moves, the same gear, extremely close stats, but I can't stagger nearly as quickly and can't even do close to enough damage once I manage to limp to the last stagger. Infuriating boss.

Were you playing at Normal or Hard Mode? I'm still on easy and each time i see that black sphere roaming the sandbox i mentally create a barrier that don't allow me to reach it.

why is her damage so high? My attack's also 1800, but my artemis arrow's only around 60k, if bravery, it is 120k, but her damage is 250k
Ereshkigal is still my favorite fight but this is an interesting strategy. :)

No, not really. This is the strongest boss in the game if I'm not mistaken, and the last boss is not hard at all. Sure, if you made sidequests.
