Really good video, mahalo for that. I was born and raised in Honolulu. I guess I've been away too long because I've never heard of Waikiki being referred to as downtown Waikiki.
I hope it was a one off, but when my wife and I tried Pipeline's malasada, it was pretty bad because the oil they used was old and made it taste stale. Now my wife refuses to go back there. Hopefully I can convince her to try it again.
    Mahalo again!

Mahalo for watching Marvin! Waikiki is so busy now. Back in the 90s I remember the old International Marketplace, so when I saw it when we returned to live her I was shocked at how big and modern it was. Definitely give Pipeline another try, they also have a tasty pumpkin crunch and some other treats as well. Hope to see you around here sometime! Mahalo!!!!

I am so happy that I came across your videos thank you, thank you, thank you.
I have researched for over four years on places to see/eat in Hawaii this being my first trip I was supposed to go March 2020 but of course with Covid it was cancelled.
I am not a beach person at all. I love looking at the beaches and walking around looking at the sites but not necessarily sitting at a beach for any great length of time.
I love gardening never even knew about the garden located right in Honolulu.
It is so nice to see some places that are actually reasonable as far as admission and some even free and places to eat that don't break the bank and yet offer good food.
Most of the videos I have come across mainly discuss higher end eating places.
I am coming from Toronto Ontario Canada and look forward to seeing Oahu and then I will be spending a week in Maui.
Any tips for Maui would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you again.

Oh that's so nice! We visited Toronto, the downtown area is super nice!
There is so so much to see here. If you like hiking, there are a few hikes that are really nice. We have a waterfall video here as well at Waimea which is in a beautiful garden area, with a nominal fee. But it leads to a waterfall n is totally beautiful to see.
We love Maui as well. But our friends Hawaii Vacation Guide live on Maui so they have all the scoop there. I like visiting the volcano for sunrise in Maui and the road to Hana is great but definitely an adventure in driving. Lol. Feel free to dm me any time w questions. We have so many great hidden gems here that won't break the bank.

@@Cruisingfoodies I wasn't sure because I have heard people say it was too long of a drive and they mentioned getting car sick.
I wasn't aware of the sunrise in Maui that looks spectacular and coming from Toronto should already have my winter clothing with me. Neat that you visited Toronto.
      Thanks again for your recommendations.

@@cherylb2966 so I definitely recommend taking a tour with a lot of stops. It really is an all day event. But the stop offs are beautiful. Everything from waterfalls to beautiful mountain and water views. And you have the Maui cookie lady too! Cookies stuffed inside of cookies!
