Why is it that my okpa doesn’t get cooked? Even after cooking it for up to 2hours? What went wrong?

    • @Ogochuxy

You might be over adding water and cooking it on high heat. Okpa requires little water and cooking it on steam

Okpa and custard. It's a no, no for me. Okpa alone is filling. It will carry you all day. Especially that one from 9th Mile Enugu Ngwo. I was privileged to have lived in Awhum, not far from 9th Mile. In the 80's. Initially I detested it. Being a lagos born and bred. Before you can say, "jack Ruby ". I was hooked on it. Couldn't get Enough. Till this day Okpa left a lasting impression on me. I have been overseas since the 80's. London to be priscise. I do miss Okpa. I guess the Delicasy has changed and Improved a lot.

Okpa di òkù. The best is from ovoko.
When you eat this in the morning and enter class especially during practical, you are strictly on your own.
One of our lecturers strongly advised against okpa before his class😀😀
