It is indeed Vikram from Rocket Boys (played by Ishwak Singh). All the events leading upto the formation of isro happened in 40-50s through the hands of sarabhai... And even though isro formed in 1969, it started off as Incospar way back under sarabhai when he started launching rockets

A year after formation of INCOSPAR, we had our first rocket launched in space in 1963 for probing the upper atmosphere, was launched from the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station in the fishing village of Thumba, Kerala, now known as the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.
India is the only, or very few of the countries, where Oppenheimer performed better than Barbie. And apparently South Korea the only country where Barbie was a complete flop. I haven't seen Barbie yet, so I can't say why. But probably the anti-patriarchy in the movie has something to do with it. Since India and South Korea are very patriarchal countries.
Excuse me what?? Barbie losing to Oppenheimer in India has got nothing to do with patriarchy. Most of my female friends and even my girlfriend preferred Oppenheimer to Barbie. You know why?? Because Chris Nolan has a huge fanbase in India, much more than Barbie. His movies consistently do well in India. Even when Tenet was a disaster, it did decent business in India. Stop playing this patriarchy card everywhere please
I have to address the Barbie thing: I liked the movie overall - thought of watching it with my mum too. But here's the thing - I was really enjoying the first half of it - when things were going wrong. As for the second half of the movie wherein came the resolution, I liked it a little less than the first half - here's why: While the problem they posed was a really complex one, the solution to it was rather simple which didn't seem as plausible, in fact it might have been a little insulting to men and their IQ/EQ how simply it was all resolved - mostly in the course of a song or two. Then came the meta parts (spoiler) of the creator being in that void with Barbie and the whole conversation they had - which...honestly if you ask me felt a bit like fluff, like sugary sweet icing without the rich substance of the cake, left me scratching my head to decipher a concrete point of that entire conversation - I loosely got the meaning of it. of course, but like I said, I really enjoyed the first part which I found to be quirky, fresh and original with ironclad logic for the plot points which fell a bit loose for me towards the end. All in all, I'd say it was a good movie and I enjoyed watching it! :) Still plan to watch it with my mum as I really liked the questions it posed and the dichotomies portrayed of the human and Barbie world!
Barbie was too simple of a story for me, Neerja or even Akira comes with a message that I found more interestingly put out, like it's usually in irl but with Barbie it was too textbook theory for me, it's Good overall but just Good not something groundbreaking, however places who have not seen similar or better women-centric stories can find it Groundbreaking
Thanks for supporting India and Indians during last 25 years. You have always supported Good and Needy people right on time. Thanks for the investment in India during last 25 years which made me more healthy, happy and prosperous. I am 41 years old now and I would be more than happy to serve the population who put foundation towards such good life. The design of your logo OSR behind you is awesome..... Thanks again.
Wish I had the confidence Rick has when making an incorrect statement while dismissing Korbin's correct one 😂 Rick should come to terms he's grown old and forgets stuff.
Let's not forget none of this would bave been possible without the 100% support from the current Indian government under Modiji. He's been such a key figure!
Hi, for the Barbie movie thing - me and my partner hated it. It's not about patriarchy or support for woman or man but just the making, pacing, story beats, and many other things. I appreciate the message that the movie shares but was really bored and left the theatre really unhappy. Again it's not about the message and others may have loved it. This is just my experience.
And don’t forget. All their Rockets use Kerosene/fossil fuel propellants. Even SpaceX uses kerosene. Thank fossil fuels for the technological glorification
Two questions which you two Americans should now ask to your NASA--- If as per ISRO's finding, moon's surface temperature is more than 157 F, then-- 1. How come Neil Armstrong and B. Aldrin didn't ever report about this? 2. How could the duo astronauts wear n walk on moon's surface in such heat and survive in their so heavy space suits without being suffocated? Hope you ask them.
Guys you already watched the Rocket Boys series, then why are you so clueless even now? Please do some research before watching historical pieces, and don't just watch for the sake of it.
I didn't dislike Barbie because of the digs at patriarchy. I found it good enough, but not great. It just didn't speak to me and my experiences. I can't relate to Barbie because I didn't grow up playing with Barbies. Plus, the patriarchy I have encountered in my life is far more complex than the world of Barbie. I think patriarchy manifests itself differently in different parts of the world. I don't find Western feminism adequate for the Indian context. The critique of patriarchy in Barbie feels too superficial and simplistic to me. Too first world.
You've been misinformed or misinterpreting the views of your select circle of Indians as that of the majority. The fact is Barbie just didn't generate enough interest here for it to be viewed by many people - liking it or not comes secondary. Oppenheimer was always going to be the one which drew more eyeballs and footfalls in India, based on its subject matter and the huge Nolan fanbase. The narrative was that India was the only territory where Oppenheimer outperformed Barbie, not that people didn't like Barbie. Also, you lied that you recognised the name :P In the previous video you saw about ISRO just few days back, the name Vikram Sarabhai was mentioned multiple times but it didnt ring a bell for you as I was hoping it would be. You probably recognised him in the picture they showed in this video, because the makers of Rocket Boys did a stellar job in recreating his look for the series.
For a very simple reason, Barbie was just a Crap movie. We don`t appreciate movies that we don`t feel connected to. We appreciate little more "maturity" in the films, when it comes to the concept, storyline, its presentation. And Barbie clearly stands far away in the list, to be accepted and enjoyed by the Indian audience
Just goes to show that these reaction videos are made just for views from Indians. Even after watching a whole season of Rocket Boys they didnt even know who Vikram Sarabhai was. Rick is a disgrace.
Wish China shared it's learnings from their space exploration. Sadly, they don't, and that makes others repeat the same experiments. But space debries will be a huge issue 30 to 40 years from now unless we get to fix them. The international space station built by USSR, USA, along with extensions by Europe, Japan, and Israel is a man made wonder. It is unfortunate that Bharat's ISRO, China, and other private entitles have to build their own Space Stations.

What 1969? ISRO was formed in 1962 but was known as the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) later renamed to ISRO
Incospar was a committee, isro is an organization, there is a difference between theory and practical

'Hidden Figures' is the name of the movie with Kevin Costner that Rick was talking about. Brilliant movie!
Ngl, 'Vyomanaut' sounds cool, straight out of a sci-fi movie.
India is one among very few countries who could develop cryogienic rocket engine of its own.

We will be called as Bharatian if India loses its name in future. ISRO will be BSRO.. The new name Bharat will be called in Tamil as Bharatham.

I don't understand why ISRO sends spacecrafts into space to observe the sun. If they wanted to go near the sun. They could just come to Chennai.
he is the same guy in rocket boys
Hidden Figures is that movie i think
India's pride is ISRO....💯💯
