I was a student when he visited our school. I was very fortunate to have attended his lecture. I was even more fortunate as I was one of the students announcers in that event which means I get to shake his hands. I will never ever forget that moment. Doctor APJ...

I do not believe I read that in his autobiography. However, there is a portion where he mentions that he did go there for six months for a training programme on Sounding Rockets. I think you should verify this fact from "Wings of Fire". This information might also be available through Google search.

There are just so many things about him that cannot be summarised easily. His reach to the citizens and his philosophies were out of the world. Dr.APJ & Swami Vivekananda are like those very very few people to have graced our planet who literally have _zero_ haters. Somehow I always get goosebumps when I read or hear about them.. just the fact that I know how big they were. This is their influence.
July 27 2015...I wont ever forget the date...because its the Day I got my 1st salary...I was out of the world then suddenly heard abt Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The whole World stopped right there. I was in the bus on my way to work but tears couldnt be stopped. That moment I wont ever forget. For me he was the greatest Indian ever. The only Muslim whom no Hindu ever hated. Man of the Millennium. RIP sir. Proud to be born in the same country as yours.

Late Dr. A.P.J Kalam is the reason, I am an engineer. Dr. A. P. J and Tesla has profound impact on my life. I have the very statement from Dr. A.P.J about dreams in my office and home office. I cannot tell you how many times, that once sentence has pushed me to accomplish things I had almost given up!
Believe me....Kalam sir has no Haters...he is loved by all of us😍💗
He not only initiated the indian missile journey... He spearheaded the Indian Nuclear Program and was the main force behind developing India's first nuclear bomb!
The video has not even scratched the surface, he was way more than this. I certainly don't have words to describe him but I think you should know following 3 facts too :-
1. Even after all those awards and achievements he had no riches, he still used to live in his ancestral home which is roughly 450 square feet (15X30 sq. ft.). Furthermore after his sad demise his house has been converted into a museum and there is no entry fee to visit this place.
2. He used to say 'always dream big' i.e., even when you know that it out of your reach still don't stop dreaming because to achieve something big in life you have to start dream about it first.
3. He was and still is very famous amongst Children, he had a website where he used to answer all the queries put up by scholars, be it a 1st grade student, a high school graduate or an engineer or a Scientist. He had this open platform where anyone could ask for his guidance and he would try to answer them all.

Guys couple of thing they forgot to mention is how honest he was he came with 1 suitcase with him when he became president and left the same when he finished his tenure for his honesty his guards who are on the house dismounted and paid him respect for his honesty and when asked if he will change hair style or lose as president he said will give up being president than his hair he was such a Nobel soul .

Yes, Mr Kalam was a very honored and respected man. He was the most honest politician in the history of our country. Not only that mat he was paid 18 Lakh Indian rupees a year and never spent anything. He gave everything away in charities the day he died. He had four sets of clothes, all he had was books, books and more books and his love for us and our country.

He was better than the video said about him... once he retired as president, he was treated shabbily by the then governing party to the outrage of many Indians. APJ didn’t even blink an eye and continued on his journey of imparting education and eradicating poverty and misery. I am proud to have him as my President and as my country man. He will live in our hearts for a million years. This vid of his made me tear up. And I rarely tear up. Thanks for the refresher.
