I am sure you know this, but there is NOT a shared beaverton/hillsboro border. There is a large (55k pop) unincorporated area in between them. (Aloha). However, the school districts border each other as each takes in roughly half of the unincorporated area.
I havent lived in portland since 2015. It was getting so bad on every level. (Weather and geography excluded) I cant wait to visit and see what its like nowadays. I have so many great memories of oregon and portland
