How To: Toyota Tundra Door Panel Removal and Door Handle Swap - Smart Key / Keyless Entry Guide

- It's time for a swap! We picked up a 2021 Toyota Tundra and are ditching the chrome door handles to go color-matched. We have the Smart Key aka Keyless Entry on this truck so swapping the front handles requires a little bit of surgery and pulling of the door panel.
We'll walk you through the entire process of removing the door panel and swapping out the smart key handles!

Oh! The door lock part is actually really easy. The cap just pops off and swaps over. Apologies for forgetting about it though!
Awsome video on how to remove door panel. My question is, what yr is your tundra? I have a 2021 Platinum with cheesy chrome door handles looking to color match, but the local dealership says color match option not available for 21, which I have a hard time believing.

Where did you find the smart key handles? I’ve been searching the internet and can’t find. I have the same 2021 Tundra in magnetic grey metallic
I picked them up from a company called Sparks Parts. You can google them, and should be able to find painted smartkey handles there!
How do the rear door handles change out? I presume easier since no wire connection.
Quite easy! Same as the front except for not having to pull the door trim. A single bolt inside the door jamb and it comes right out.

They were purchased from Sparks Parts. A Google search should pull them up for ya!
