    There's a company called AJT Design that makes a TSS sensor relocation bracket for $50 that is supposed to re-position the sensor so it still functions with aftermarket sensor covers. I haven't tried it yet but just letting you know. 👍

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Appreciate the reply! We did end up getting it figured out by going to a different sensor garnish. As for that bracket directly it's really cool! However, it's for moving the sensor on a grille that wasn't initially built to support a TSS sensor. Fortunately for us the '21 grille that we picked up already had a spot for our sensor. It just couldn't see through the first garnish we picked up!

    I have a 2021 tundra trial edition. I know the TRD Pro Grille will fit, but my question is will I need to order a new sensor cover? Or can I use my existing sensor and transfer it to the TRD Pro Grille?

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You will almost assuredly need a new sensor cover. As far as I know all OEM grilles that are not the TRD pro version have a round sensor cover. The TRD Pro is the only one with a rectangular cover I believe.

    Would the 2018+ honeycomb grille fit a 2015 SR5?

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. The only time you run into issues is that if you would be trying to go the other direction (Ex installing a 2015 grille on a 2018). The older trucks didn't have the TSS radar system so installing one of them on a newer truck leaves no place for the radar sensor to go.

      @@hotshotoffroad so a 2018-21 grill and bulge would fit a 2014?

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it would. The bulges are exactly the same. The grilles will have a cutout for the TSS sensor on the 18+ that you'll need to find a cover for, but the mounting points and shape are the same.

    I’m looking for the same kind of grill but with the gloss black finish on the bottom. I noticed where you got yours from is currently charging $600+ for grills. Any idea where I can get one with the gloss black finish? Any help I’d appreciated.

    • @hotshotoffroad
      @hotshotoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that for a painted one you're likely going to be hanging out around that $600 mark. If you want only the lower section you might be able to scratch off about $200, but I don't know many who do that. It might be worth reaching out to/googling Sparks parts as they're known for selling OEM painted parts.
