I think it's a great setup!!! One question please, with that assembly I do not understand the function of the cylindrical tube in the engine hole, why do you put the cylindrical tube? thank you!!
that tube is for my outriggers / stabilizers, its has no functional use for the trolling motor. Hope that helps. Also though i haven't made a video on it. I 100% recommend trying to rear mount the trolling motor, iv been using it like that for quite some time, but only if you have an option to steer it, and i used the rudder foot controls to steer the trolling motor on the back.
Amazing mate :D I wish I was as handy as you to get this done. Also did you have a look at Dragon Kayak's trolling motor mount? They do one with metal tubing that sits into the rear rod holders and has a nylon block at the side so you can remove it easily and also still functions as 2 rear rod holders as well. I like your motor mount though it looks strong and durable.
